Wiglett's not a regional Diglett. It's showcasing convergent evolution, whereas regional variants showcase divergent evolution. The latter being the same species evolving into two separate species to adapt to their respective habitats. Elephants and mammoths are a good example. Both evolved from a common ancestor, one to better live in colder climates, and the other in warmer.
Convergent evolution meanwhile is where two completely unrelated species evolve similar traits. Sharks and dolphins are both examples of this. One is a fish and the other a mammal, but they have similar body shapes and features due to their habitat within the ocean.

Yeah, I knew Wiglett wasn't regional Diglett, but I actually had no idea about this Convergent Evolution thing. Thank you for explaining! Wiglett seems cooler now that I'm aware of this.

I'm not sure I'd call Farigiraf cute, but I dedinitely appreciate Game Freak giving these old, kind of unappreciated Pokemon new evolutions.
Girafarig was always kind of an oddball, as it had a unique type for the longest time, and it had a neat design, but other than that, it's just... completely unremarkable.

Its probably the first design that is flat out horrible to me.

There's a lot of interesting stuff here, great video. Some of your takes on things are a bit nit-picky, but overall its a great summary. Thank you.

An additional hidden pokemon you may have missed is what seems to be a pre-evolution of the engine pokemon on Team Star's battle vehicle. Its exhaust pipes, though shown only briefly, also seem to be their own pokemon! So that's something like 7 or 8 total pokemon that they've shown or hinted at, but not given any information about.

Good luck with growing your channel. Do a live stream on release day. And surprise trade Pokemon with your channel name. It works

That's correct; my apologies if it sounded like I implied it was a new Pokemon.

They look similar, but there ARE some differences. For example, the ends of Chinchou's antennae - the yellow bits - are much bigger than this Pokemon's antennae.
This mystery Pokemon also has a yellow bit coming out of the back of it, which isn't something Chinchou has. In addition, of the little bit of the eyes we can see, I can't make out the + shaped pupils Chinchou has on this mystery Pokemon.
The color of the "skin", I guess, also looks off; it looks more silver-y to me than Chinchou's blue.
