The misty moist morning song i didn’t know was a nursery rhyme. One of my favourite bands, Steeleye Span, covered it back in the day. It was such a buzz to hear you say it!,
Oh my goodness, well I didn’t know that either!!! How funny. I’m going to look that up.
Thank you 🥰
❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
Love your stasia dress fabric on you too. I get excited and then I can’t decide what to start first🤦♀️😂
You and me both! I'm terrible - just pick one thing and go for it - and I'll try and take my own advice too 😂
Thank you 🥰
I love your plans Angela. Im exactly the same when I look through my patterns and fabric, I get really excited and want to make it all...😂 I think you're very sensible leaving the coat for later, sounds like you've got enough on your plate x
Aahh not just me then 😂 honestly I try and be sensible, but like you say - get too excited!!!
Thank you 🥰
Ecru! And think it’s cotton twill.😊
Aaaah brilliant - Thank you 🥰
Brilliant plans, now let's see what you can get done lol. For the woven appliqué on jersey, yes that absolutely works. I did it for my boys t-shirts when I appliquéd their initial on the front and yes to cutting bias tape on the straight grain, I've done it loads of times xx
😂 you know me so well 🤣🤣🤣
Aahh that’s great - thanks for the tips.
Thank you my lovely friend 🥰
Beautiful plans! Can't choose a favourite, I hope you get a chance to make as many as possible. P.s. loving the curly locks xx
Thank you so much - that’s really kind of you 🥰
Such lovely plans! And fab video as always! I’m very interested in the Hovea coat!! It looks like such a lovely pattern!
Thank you! 😊 I can’t wait to make it - I hope I love it as much as I think I am 😂
Thank you 🥰
This looks like great plans. Or should I say options for upcoming sewing.....
Suzanne
He he he! Yes 😂
Thank you 🥰
i love your enthusiasm, its infectious. you mentioned on a previous vlog about trouser patterns, take a look at Style Arc McKenkie pants. flat fronted, side zipped woven trousers, very smart
I'll check it out! Thank you so much 🥰
Lovely plans Angela. I’m making pyjama sets too but boxer shorts as two of my grandchildren run hot. I bought Christmas fabric in John Lewis and have ordered some red stripes for the tee shirts. I’m also making a Southbank dress for one of my daughters in law. I’ve made my baby granddaughter a matching jumper dress.I’ve made the other Dil a Molly top by soi.I think you have many plans. I know I’m at my limit but also need to make something for my little grandson. Good luck with yours. I’d love to invest in a Guthrie ghani kit but holding back as I may leave it languishing. Many thanks 😃
Oh wow you have been busy - and are going to be busy, some lovely things there, and I bet your family and friends will love it all.
Good luck with all your plans.
Thank you 🥰
Great sewing plans! I actually was watching a winter fashion video and lighter coloured slacks was a thing. I really like the look with a darker top and was thinking of making a pair in a stone, or cream colour. The green quilted jacket will be lovely. Although for me it would have to have closures of some sort. I just don't understand wearing a coat that doesn't have them, too cold here in Canada not to do up. Right now, I'm obsessed with the quilted Burberry jacket I saw in a picture that the Princess of Wales was wearing. I'm on the hunt for similar fabric and already have a pattern in mind. Not that I need another coat, but I want another coat.
Thank you, yes I think the pale colour trousers will work well.
Ha ha - I guess a jacket like that just wouldn’t work in Canada 😂. Good luck with your hunt for your fabric.
Thank you 🥰
Great plans Angela and lovely fabrics too... I haven't been to Trago Mills for such a long time and it's not that far from me.. I forgot they did fabrics. I must pop over and see what they have 👍. I think your plans are fine and doing your more involved coat next year sounds like a good plan. You need your time for everything else 😜😂. I'm such a slow sewer and only usually have one project in mind. I'm making a Marni cardigan at the moment... cut it out today and hoping to make it tomorrow 🤞. However, things have a habit of cropping up and spoiling my ideas 🤨... I'm sure you understand 😉. Really looking forward to seeing your makes and you'll have to catch up with Helen again soon 😜... I feel you have a great relationship there and must get loads of inspiration from each other... as well as plenty of tea ☕😂🙏👌💖😘
Sorry... meant the Marlo cardi 👍
Aaah Sally I forget you may have already told me, I’m sorry, but does that mean you’re not far from me then? Trago is ok, it’s not brilliant, I certainly wouldn’t make a special trip just for fabric.
Yes I think the coat next year is a good idea too 😊
Hope your marlo is going well 👍🏼
Thank you 🥰
@@DevonThreadTales St Austell.. so not too far 😁. I have been to trago but many moons ago and Truro Fabrics would definitely be more of my go to... but you never know what Trago might have I guess 😜. Happy sewing Angela 🤗😘
Yes you are right about the stretchy fabric used as piping NOT having to be cut on the bias. I remember reading that.❤
Aaahh that’s great - thank you 🥰
As always such a great vlog Angela! Love your hair and your enthusiasm ☺️❤️ I have made piping in jersey on a bomber jacket in sweatshirting. I just cut it straight. I put it along the raglan sleeves and round the pocket opening and it turned out really nice.
I love sewing for others (as well as for myself) and have recently made a t-shirt for my hubby, another is on it’s way. He has trouble finding t-shirts he likes in the shops because of his size, lucky him having a wife that can sew 😉 I’m also making a toiletrybag for my son in law for his birthday. Looking forward to seeing your makes! Take care ❤️
Aaahh that’s so lovely I bet your husband loves that. And your son in law 🥰
Thanks for the tip re piping in jersey, that’s great to know.
Thank you 🥰
Great plans! Can't wait to see the Christmas pyjamas. I am trying to make my daughter a little sewing kit case with all the bits and bobs you need as she is just getting started with sewing.
Aahh that sounds like such a great gift - how lovely. I’m sure your daughter will love it.
Thank you 🥰
Me too, I put pockets in and it was bulging at the front so now I just skip the pockets 🙂 Maybe I did something wrong, had thick sweater fleece as fabric. Anyway you ör winter sweater looks lovely ❤ have a wonderful day! God bless ❤ Dora
Aahh thank you so much Dora 🥰❤️
Really looking forward to seeing your makes - such great choices 😊❤👍
Thanks so much! 😊
I made a Hovea last year. I made quilting cotton and quilted it with cotton batting and used toggles and loops to close. It is very oversized and I wish I'd sized down. I have never yet worn it. It is a lovely pattern, though
Oh no - that’s such a shame that you don’t wear it 😟 I hope you can figure out a way of making it work for you.
Thank you 🥰
Another lovely vlog. I am pleased to hear you jay need to make one or two toiles for trousers. I am just starting my trouser journey - toile number 3 but determined to get a good fitting pair of trousers. Good luck with all your plans - look forward to the results
Aaah good luck to you too - hope you have success with your trousers.
Thank you 🥰
Love the thought you are going to finish your McCalls dress and the Blanca Overalls love all of your plans, trying to make a few things for my granddaughter who is coming for Christmas from Australia xx
Thank you 🥰
Oh my goodness how exciting - I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas together - so special 🥰 xx
It’s always so fun watching your vlogs. I’m looking forward to seeing your makes!
Yay! Thank you 🥰
I think your hair looks lovely !! And I've really enjoyed your vlog, I hope you find time to get the Christmas PJs done !!
Thank you me too - I would to make them all 🥰❤️
Your hair looks lovely,
Look forward seeing your makes.
Cut them all out ready and then you can plug away at them as and when. Your zoom through them.
Aahh thank you so much 😊
That’s such a great idea - I think I might well do that! 🥰❤️
We have a Trago Mills in Wales- in Merthyr Tydfil. I have bought some fabric from there but their range sounds far more limited than the one near you. I have never seen any cotton jerseys there. Like you, I would love to make my family Xmas PJs this year but don’t think I am going to have time. I think I would have needed to start in August!!!! Your fabrics are brilliant. So agree re the coat needing undivided attention. I have just ordered fabric for the Tessuti Richmond coat and don’t want to rush it. Love your coating fabric too. Good Luck with all your ambitious plans!
Oh my goodness I had no idea there was another Trago. In all fairness the fabric choices aren’t great at Trago, wouldn’t go there just to look for fabric, but if we end up passing I will have a quick pop in!
I know I would love to make the pjs, but Christmas seems to be getting closer and closer, so will see if I manage it 😂
Thank you so much 🥰
Way back in the 90's fusing wovens onto knit tops was a thing. First you use some fusible web to attach the design to the top, then we zig-zaged around it, now a days the fusible webs seem much better, and you may not need to do the extra stitching.
Aahh this is great - thank you so much for this 🥰❤️
Hope you get your list completed 🙂 I have made the whole family christmas pj's for the past 3 years and I never learn -my tip is to do them early as time seems to speed up in December!! Can't wait to see how the Blanca turns out and to hear if you have any tips on it as it is on my soon to make list. Hope to catch up with you soon and yes to the nursery rhymes I used to sing them to my girls all the time but you don't hear them so much anymore - the old man in leather was a favourite when it was foggy 🙂
Yes, I’m now thinking I probably should have started the pjs quite some time ago! I’m not sure I will get them done now 🙈🙈🙈 hey ho!
I’ve finished the Blanca now, and I love it so much, I will share properly soon.
I know - you just never hear those nursery rhymes it seems. Hope to see you again Lucy.
Thank you 🥰
Love all your ideas! They have inspired me.
Thank you 🥰
Haha Angela this video really made me smile! I love how excited you are - it made me excited! I have a list as long as my arm of all the things I want to sew. We better crack on! 😃
Yessss!!! 😂😂😂 let’s get on with it 🙈
Thank you 🥰
Thank you and your plans are great 😊
Thank you 🥰❤️
I love your excitement as you describe what plans you have. I feel excited for you! I hope your plans come to fruition and I can’t wait to see them. That shark fabric is brilliant!
Thank you so much!! It’s great isn’t it 🦈
Thank you 🥰
Love it . Hope the girls PJ;s come out well. Love that shark fabric, a lovely xmas gift that they can take back with them. Have a good time getting it all done. x
Thank you so much 🥰
I think it's great you have so many plans. I think the hovea jacket will be great and I think you will wear it to death. You are always so enthusiastic, Angela, which is quite contagious. Lovely vlog as always....hope you find time for everything.
Aahh that is so so kind of you - thank you so much 😊🥰
I need to list my plans. I’ll have something to check off. Great idea. Maybe it will help me track what needs done before moving on to new projects.
Yes, it helps me focus, but at the same time if I change my mind I try not to feel like I can’t move away from it.
Thank you 🥰
Stone - definitely not beige! Will be interested to see your Blanca as I have had pattern for quite a while. Thanks for another great vlog
I’ve almost finished the Blanca so hopefully can share soon - Thank you 🥰
Great vlog, lots of lovely plans. The stasia in that gorgeous fabric could never be boring. Like the curls, really suit you 🧵💙 Tina
Aahh thank you so much 😊 ❤️
Hi Angela poun fabrics have loads of Jersey bias binding if you wanted to get back for your pyjama trim
Aahh that’s great - Thank you 🥰
Love your hair like that
Thank you 🥰❤️
Great vlog, you are right a coat takes concentration and cannot be rushed, good idea to leave it until you have more time. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Thank you 🥰
Can you add the different fabric on the Naya t-shirt for your girls to the short sleeve bands?
No need to cut the stretch fabric for your piping on the bias.
🍀🤞🏼
Great idea! I’ll have a play around with it. Thank you 🥰
Hello, great vlog, makes me want to develop my own plan of makes for the rest of the year.
I would definitely prioritise the PJs for you and the girls, even hubbie, I don’t think you can under estimate the value of creating memories like that and something you will remember for years. Hopefully they will come together quickly and once they are done you can focus on your other projects. Only my own thoughts. Happy sewing 🧵 xx
Yes I think you’re right - that’s such a good idea.
Thank you 🥰❤️
Can’t wait to see your Hovea jacket. It’s going to be gorgeous!!!
Aaahh thanks lovely 🥰
Really love all your plans and the fact that we sound like we’re joined at the hip 🤣 Wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰 #sewingbuddies
😂😂😂 it does - how funny. 😍🥰🥰
Yes, you can just cut knit fabric straight!
Brilliant thanks 😊 ❤️
I’m looking forward to seeing the Zadie jumpsuit made up. Thanks for cheering me up on a what is proving to be a stressful week so far. My sewing time is so very limited plus I’m very slow but love seeing your plans.
Heya, oh I hope you’re ok my lovely.
I’ve washed the zadie fabric, so will hopefully make it up soon.
Thank you 🥰
I always really enjoy your vlogs Angela! Shame you missed out on the navy trousers kit but you could contact Guthrie and Gani to see if they have any fabric left over. Lauren has mentioned in her lives in the past that sometimes they have left over fabric so you could possibly buy the components separately. Amy is going to love the shark fabric. You could try and scan an image from the girl’s fabric and print it onto iron-on transfer paper and then iron the image onto the white T-shirts. I haven’t done it myself but I know you can buy the paper so I’m sure it could be done 😊
Aahh thank you - yes that’s a good idea re the trousers. Oh I hadn’t thought of that for the girls fabric. Thank you, that’s a great idea, I will look into it.
Thank you 🥰
Love your plans. I did laugh when you mentioned something for your husband, may or may not get made. 😂 I have had trousers to take up for my husband for sometime and they just keep moving down my list. Not sure how that happens 😂
😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈 bless him. He will get something at some point - lol!
Thank you 🥰❤️
I love hearing your plans! You have some great projects. I’m working on a quick top right now and I have some gorgeous dress fabric, but I’m still deciding what pattern to make it with
Thank you so much. Oohh that’s a tough one, when you love the fabric - good luck with choosing, I’m sure you’ll make a great decision 😊🥰
You could always do colourful binding on pockets or edges of hovea jacket if you wanted a bit of colour😊😊
That’s a great idea - thank you 😊 x
No probs 😊
Great vlog as always, Angela. Love your Southbank dress. Do you mind if I ask which size you made? I’ve never made it before but really want to having seen yours.
Aaahh thank you so much. I just love the south bank.
I made the size 10.
Thank you 🥰
I was waiting and the moment the email arrived I bought two pairs of trousers and the pink cardigan. Even at 12.03 the website was so slow I thought I wasn’t going to get anything
Aaahh that’s so fab - yay enjoy 😉
Thank you 🥰
Plans? surely they are just guidelines! 😂😂🍓🧶💙🌈
Love it!!! Yes you’re right 🥰
Angel the black fabric with the very bright splashes that you thought might be Ponti Roma, do you remember which company you bought it from at the festival? I absolutely love it but I'm in Canada so I'd like to try to source it here. Love your ideas for Nov & Dec, your fashion sense really is wonderful!
Heya - it was Roy’s fabric from Birmingham. I really hope that helps and you are able to get some. Good luck.
Thank you so much 🥰❤️
Hi Andrea ,love all your sewing plans .if you don't mind me asking could you tell me the name of your overlocker as I'm thinking of buying a new one but don't want to spend a little of money as I'm not a young person .,but would like a four thread as I can overlock jersey fabric and not use my sewing machine.hope I'm not to cheeky in asking you.xx
Hia, yes that’s no problem at all, it’s a Janome 6234xl. I love it - it’s very easy to use and very substantial. I never mind - so please ask away. I’m sorry I’ve taken a bit of time to reply 🥰
I'm very tempted to order the Southbank pattern, having seen many versions of it. Can I ask what size you made, as my measurements are very similar to yours. Thanks.
Yea get it - it’s a great pattern!!!
I love it 😍
I made the size 10
Good luck - I hope you do get it 🥰
