- Almost 4 months into this build, and it's finally finished! I must say I am extremely happy with the finished product. It honestly turned out even better than I had envisioned. It's kind of a catch-22. I'm glad to be done with it, but I hate to see it go. I get attached to these big builds. It's a completely customized fishing machine that has a piece of me in it. Every single piece was designed and crafted together to become a masterpiece. This is my art, and I'm excited to share it with you. Not only does it look good, but it performs on a high level! A 26-year-old motor was given a new life/ purpose on this rig, and it didn't disappoint. I hit a top speed of 24.2mph solo. I really focused on dialing in my design and layout to maximize space and weight distribution. I'd say it was a success! The transformation this boat went through is unimaginable to most, but I think I pulled it off. The best part is that it's not just a showboat. It will be fished religiously in tournaments every weekend, and it's outfitted with the latest technology. My custom livewell will be sure to keep the fish healthy and happy all day! What an experience! Another stellar build just hit the tournament scene! wait till you see what's next!

Hey, my wife and I started watching you tube vids during covid and now have a string of regular shows we subscribe to. I happened on yours strictly by accident because re doing bass boats for some reason seemed interesting and easy to watch. First of all your skills are second to none and ( I know some about welding) your comments like stacking dimes etc hits home. Your personality and presentation are lifting you above a lot of other shows I watch on this subject. Even your time line segments are good. I hope you keep gaining viewers as you seem to work hard for them. Your wife has to really understand all of this. Stay focused and keep burning those rods. Love the builds. Sometimes people watch just because its a good show.

Absolutely awesome!!!!! This build is no doubt a masterpiece of craftsmanship and artistic expression and needs to be sitting on the showroom floor of a custom boat shop! After watching this build from the very beginning and the climax of its maiden voyage, all I can think to do is sit back, smoke a cigarette and sip a glass of fine wine! BRAVO!!!! I did the exact opposite with the batteries.
I have a x2 100AH Batteries for each of my 2 trolling motors, and a 30AH for my electronics.
2 93SVs, a marine stereo, and all the lighting lasts for 10 hours on the 30AH.
Thats cool. I don't think a single 30-ah battery would power his graphs, livewell, and panoptics all day.
WOW!!! A complete transformation. And yes! That is right up there with King Neptune... definitely can't argue with that! The amount of time to build is just mind-boggling; a lot more there than just building a "stage on stilts". My hat's off to ya and can't wait to see whats next. A build to be proud of!!! Be Safe

Speaking on the adhesive on the razor blades, I use alcohol or WD-40 to clean the blades. Alcohol tends to be better since it will not affect the adhesive. Furthermore, it tends to help to keep the blades somewhat hot.

outstanding build ,Its nice to see a craftsman take pride in his work. How high did you set the cavatation plate above the bottom of boat ? even, or one inch ,or two inch.Reason Im asking Im getting ready to redo my 16foot john and im adding a tilt /trim unit .right now im even with the bottom of boat and runs nice ,but with the trim unit setting the motor back I was told you should go above the bottomof the boat. have a 18 horse nissan two stroke,heavy boat . Thank you sir..

Does it have foam in case you get more water in the boat then the pump can handle so it doesn't sink to the bottom of the lake

What kind of horsepower is the transom rated for with that jack plate ?
The boat is rated for 40hp. I built the jackplate, so it has no rating, but Im confident it could hold a 75, maybe bigger?
