Perhaps try a completionist challenge? Where you try to scan every enemy, collect one of each item, and survive however many quotas you need to do it! Or some kind of run where the goal is to kill one of each killable enemy? I don't think I've seen anyone do those kinds of runs and it sounds like a fun break from the constant quota chasing (though you would still have to collect to make it past the days lol)
yeah I realized that later on in the run, and ended up just removing the pipe route from my run entirely it was safe enough to crouch run from the platform to the ship and back so long as I had enough stamina, almost regardless of my carry weight! even when the noodles are camping since they’re still super slow lol
yeah, the vow bridge jumping exploit didn't last very long either. props to zeekers for being so hardworking and proactive with his work, but still, damn.
@11:44 I can only assume that it’s because of a bad generation creating an obstacle in front of the door that would trap you. Can’t imagine it has anything to do with the eclipse only mod. Very weird though🤔 And yes, the maximum loot spawn doesn’t include the apparatus or bees

I’ve had a fire exit blocked once before, but it’s certainly very rare. Also, when it happened to me it was on a mansion moon, so we assumed a bookshelf or something might have blocked it. I’m not sure what happened to yours.

If you have stamina left reaching the ladder, you can jump and E to grab it a little higher-up, no idea if that would help worm detection stop faster, but maybe. I just know if the attack does start, then being on the ladder alone won't save you.
It would be cool to see a stormy only run, for me stormy is often almost as hard as eclipsed especially when trying to move items during the night since it takes so much longer. Anyway these challenge runs are super cool to watch

Takes away the atmosphere and the understanding of how it is in the run, but I get why people would want it.

Only time I’ve seen a blocked fire exit was when I played on the SCP Interior, but that’s because fire exits didn’t exist on there. I guess it’s just a really unlucky generation that’s possible in vanilla 😅 I’ve had the foggy main entrances a few times though, super inconvenient hahah. But this is why I do these runs, there’s a lot to learn from them!!

near the end when u got the jetpack you were asking "why do things differently when they work" and the answer is simple, to expirement and learn more stuff, kinda why i thought u were doing the challenge to begin with ;3 doing things different is how you find new tech and new routes, even if the old ones worked fine
hahah that’s a good point! jetpack will likely be more viable too once crouch running gets patched out. I’m eventually going to do a jetpack only run because taking so much damage with the jetpack is starting to become unacceptable and there’s only one way to mitigate that damage 👀
I've done that generator room glitch mistake too. I was close to an emergy exit in March, could have just taken that, but instead I did the glitch and got stuck behind a forest keeper camping the main entrance and ended up being tp'd by a coworker because we were out of time

I lost an eclipsed experimentation only run recently because I evaded one sandworm right next to dogs, was really relieved since the ship was right in front of me, and immediately after the worm jumps out of the ground, a second one starts coming out of the ground and I just wasn't ready for two sandworms and dogs.
Offense is easy go to fire exit there are two ways and in this situation ones riskier but most likely necessary to learn. First way is most popular go on the rail’s of ship and jump on but the other is less. First step there is a rock you need to find (you go all the way across the pipe it’ll be your closest one on the left) now you need to go to about full right (of the rock) but not and the part tour looking for is 3 distinct jagged pieces (first 2 are angled abt perfectly angled like top and bottom and in the middle is the next) now without sprinting start jumping up these while moving left and right to hit your jump and near the top (where if ur walking your camra will start almost like bobing up and down is where youll need to sprint) and if you did that youll be up. This is hard and takes practice. Im a lil silly so if this dont make sense im sorry.

I used to play quite a bit of Brutal Company before I started doing Ironman challenges! I was a fan of it but my friends were not lol. I’m also a big fan of the Carrot Hardmode mod pack, especially since it has objectives and win conditions. So if it’s still around by the time I’m done with my own challenges, that’s likely where I’ll be headed!
if you ever want to get pro, then a pro tip Dont always have your flashlight on. Its just wasting battery, only use it when its dark, not when theres lights
I have found another person or two where the entrance is blocked. I think it's due to bad random generation, so if it spawned you in, you'd be trapped inside of something or in the void.

It's kind of cheesy to rely on a glitch as a crutch. Especially because it might get patched, and you won't be able to use it. fair enough! I mostly do the apparatus clip because it’s a small hit of serotonin to do the funny and go under the map whenever I’m given the opportunity to. Can’t do it on every map generation so I get excited whenever I see one also crouch running is for sure getting patched out so I’m just gonna use it while I can and worry about playing without it later. I’ll miss it yeah but I’ll also appreciate the challenge of playing without it when it’s gone, and I’ll use the time I have with it now to get good at other aspects of the game without worrying about ones that crouch running lets me ignore for the time being
Try to use the ship door strat with the shovel against dogs. You basically lure dogs with your voice to the door of the ship, and if the door is closed you can hit them through the door and also you kill both dogs. Especially at around 32:30. Yw!
as far as i know "exit is blocked" means that some object like a shelf spawned on the fire entrance and the game is just telling you that procedural generation did a fuck-up
Bees have felt inconsistent since last patch. Sometimes they chase longer than they should. Have a friend that fell through the ship catwalk twice collecting a hive after takeoff.
I feel pretty confident with them on march and vow, but I haven’t quite learned their pathing on experimentation and assurance yet. I think they path a little differently there since the ship is more elevated compared to vow/march, so the bees might not find the hive while using the same strats

So at 16:03 I would have gotten everything on the pipe one at a time and just walked those back and fourth and drop them down so that the walking to and back would be shorter from the ship to the 2 handed items
that’s what I used to do, but it takes more time bringing everything up and across the pipe than just going directly like I did there I know I took the engine up the pipe on the last trip, but by the end of this run I learned that it’s just straight up safe to go under/on top of the platform in-between the ladder and the ship and just took the pipe run out of my strategy altogether since I could make more trips this way the pipe probably comes back into the picture though when/if crouch running gets patched, because the strategy works best when dogs can’t hear you
wdym night time score? It practically makes every moon night time constantly; so anything that only spawns at night can spawn at any time, but they still mostly spawn at night but they still have a chance to during day
No it doesn’t affect the scrap amount, it is merely just like the games difficulty setting. You can get mods that can multiply the scrap value corresponding to the weather though. But to answer your question, eclipsed makes it so all night time monsters can spawn straight away. Meaning you can encounter dogs and giants as soon as you land
@ItzCorbz That is power level. Power level is how many monsters can spawn. Different mobs have different power levels. Eclipsed just makes it that instead of mobs start spawning at ~5PM, they instantly start spawming ass oon as you land @@Megajaybreaker4
worms become problematic when theres also dogs because you have to sprint to evade them, which alerts nearby dogs. they can also do the same with giants, sprinting can make a giant see you
I thought that too by the end of this run and then worms DESTROYED my squad in this week’s challenge moon when we were trying to full clear it and made me reconsider 😂
No I don't usually collect keys and when I wrote "scan" it said that there were 0 objects even though there were 3 keys inside (plus the keys are not seen by the cameras as objects)
I’ve seen that in-game gamma increase is kinda frowned upon, but I also feel like the interiors have gotten a bit darker lately so I’m considering it. Used to be able to navigate just fine without a flashlight at the default gamma but lately I haven’t been able to see anything lol
@@sheffaustin it's frowned upon because some people consider it cheating, but if it is a game option, it's not. The increase in the gamma helps for videos and just playing the game normally since everyone can see better, because atleast to my standards, the more you can see, the better the video. You don't have to use it though, I love your content either way

I just put the run up right now, hardest one so far 😅
So at 16:03 I would have gotten everything on the pipe one at a time and just walked those back and fourth and drop them down so that the walking to and back would be shorter from the ship to the 2 handed items
that’s what I used to do, but it takes more time bringing everything up and across the pipe than just going directly like I did there
I know I took the engine up the pipe on the last trip, but by the end of this run I learned that it’s just straight up safe to go under/on top of the platform in-between the ladder and the ship and just took the pipe run out of my strategy altogether since I could make more trips this way
the pipe probably comes back into the picture though when/if crouch running gets patched, because the strategy works best when dogs can’t hear you
@@sheffaustin that’s fair I guess it’s what I on mine plays cause it’s just safe but I also use the go go gadget ladder to make it easier
What does eclipse do exactly. Does it make the nighttime score go up to the max? Does it just increase it by a little bit?

It practically makes every moon night time constantly; so anything that only spawns at night can spawn at any time, but they still mostly spawn at night but they still have a chance to during day
basically it's night all day, and monsters can spawn off the bat

No it doesn’t affect the scrap amount, it is merely just like the games difficulty setting. You can get mods that can multiply the scrap value corresponding to the weather though.
But to answer your question, eclipsed makes it so all night time monsters can spawn straight away. Meaning you can encounter dogs and giants as soon as you land
@ItzCorbz That is power level. Power level is how many monsters can spawn. Different mobs have different power levels. Eclipsed just makes it that instead of mobs start spawning at ~5PM, they instantly start spawming ass oon as you land @@Megajaybreaker4

Been trying to hit those really high quotas and that'll help
it makes noise on the first step, but after that it doesn’t! super helpful and pretty much removes all threats from eyeless dogs

in myopinion worms aren't a problem at all!
worms become problematic when theres also dogs because you have to sprint to evade them, which alerts nearby dogs. they can also do the same with giants, sprinting can make a giant see you

and then worms DESTROYED my squad in this week’s challenge moon when we were trying to full clear it and made me reconsider 😂

I don't usually collect keys and when I wrote "scan" it said that there were 0 objects even though there were 3 keys inside (plus the keys are not seen by the cameras as objects)

The gamma increase helps a lot, but you should turn it up in the game so you can see better with out a light
I’ve seen that in-game gamma increase is kinda frowned upon, but I also feel like the interiors have gotten a bit darker lately so I’m considering it. Used to be able to navigate just fine without a flashlight at the default gamma but lately I haven’t been able to see anything lol
@@sheffaustin it's frowned upon because some people consider it cheating, but if it is a game option, it's not. The increase in the gamma helps for videos and just playing the game normally since everyone can see better, because atleast to my standards, the more you can see, the better the video. You don't have to use it though, I love your content either way
