Did this three years ago and still going strong. This should be the first upgrade. Then you can do intake, downpipe, intercooler, charge pipe and BOV. N54 is not as horrible as N55 when it comes to boost leaks.
@@farrukhdada6688 - Power loss from leaks is greater than any gains from intake. Therefore, you make sure no leaks, first. That alone will return more power to your car than ANY intake no matter how expensive.
You could have just taken one pic of your engine bay with the BLUE vacuum lines and not said a word and that would have been GOLD. why you leave the engine cover off? my car sounds horrible without engine cover and hood open on cold start for 30 seconds. scraping and ticking noise very loud.
It’s off because I installed an oil catch can and I have to trim the back of the cover to make it fit back on. So I’ll probably be doing that next weekend so I can get it back on. Right now it’s in my trunk
I just added the Vader Solutions BOV Adapter with the 1/4 hose to the Tial BOV. The upgrade yielded even more vacuum pressure and I had to increase my BOV spring to 11 in/hg from 9 previously. I noticed substantial improvement in power stability and throttle response so I decided to upgrade and order the Stett Stainless Steel vacuum canisters...should be arriving in a few weeks. Will update with any news.
Now have the Stett steel canisters. Now I don't have to worry about that being a weak link among the myriad links in the N54 system. Improvements were, even more response from throttle input. The canisters contain a vacuum reservoir so that on unpredictable throttle use, there is always vacuum available to speed up turbo response. Some folks delete the canisters completely with no ill effects, but, they forego the backup vacuum pressure necessary when they use the throttle unpredictably.

Where can I get all this vacumm lines? I replaced the starter today and now I feel the car run with less boost (less acceleration than last week). Someone once told me why BMW vacuum lines are so bad is it is made to decompose. For recycling. Laws over on the side of the word I guess.
"Negative boost"...so vacuum?
Yeah but it’s displayed as negative boost on the MHD app.
Funniest thing is... They are run off a vacuum pump, so they are always under negative pressure at all times.
Are all the line accessible from the top?
Yes they are!
Looks good 😎

Will I be ok if I buy a 4mm vacuum line?
