How To Find Boost Leak Using A Smoke Machine BMW N54

Hey guys i was having issues with reaching my target boost on my BMW due to a boost leak. Today i show you how to find any boost leak using a smoke machine. This will also work for other cars.

Not sure what you did for the screw holes - maybe Teflon tape?

I actually did use Teflon tape and it sealed it

if I smoke test starting from the air filter box right after the MAF, would the smoke travel to the charge pipes too? Or do I have to smoke test from somewhere else? I have an N20 btw.

When you open the oil cap, comes smoke?? When yes is the pcv broken?

Dude I've been going nuts trying to find the stupid leak at the Charge pipe and seeing this and I was feeling the boost leak right from that very spot but couldn't figure out what was happening! I'll be using some teflon tape on mine tomorrow and hoping it works!! I'll post it here if I remember to even if it doesn't work. Thank you for sharing this!!!

Yo did the Teflon tape on the map screws work?? I have major boost leak and I can feel it coming from that area of charge pipe

@@330Details I took my charge pipe out to look at those bolt holes and on mine (I have two of them and checked them both just to see) they both were not drilled through so they can't leak. The tape should work though if yours are through in that spot.
