Why is this rebuild program taking so long? The $78.3M contract awarded by the MBTA's FMCB at their 04/29/2019 board meeting to Motive Power, Incorporated of Boise, Idaho, originally called for the last of the 27 to be completed and shipped back to Boston by late autumn of 2021.
Another awesome video!
Much appreciated
do you know when f40-3C 1071 and 1072 are coming back from rebuilt?
Considering that some F40s that were sent out for rebuild in 2021 like 1033 are still not back, I’m sure it will be at least a year
@@rail_spike_productions oof, that sucks. thanks for the info
@@rail_spike_productionsThey Haven't been doing any MBTA tests because there on strike
Yep, that’s why it’s expected to take a while

Part of the delay is related to last year’s strike of employees at MPI
Why does 1031 have a big dent on its nose just below the headlight? Needs to be repaired at bet.
It hit a tree in at least 2021 and 2022. That unit keeps getting damaged and fixed haha
I guess 1031 is just unlucky.😂
