You can forget unions now for the most part. They were dying before covid, but now workers are further atomized. We need labor protections and accomodations by legislative fiat. Neither Trump or Biden will give us that.

2 years later and pro union support is at one of its highest rates in 50 years. Business across the nation have made national news with successful union campaigns, or for the ones that failed by shedding more light on the depth of the labor problem. The NLRB under Biden just issued a new decision that makes union busting significantly harder making unions easier to organize than ever. All of this because people didn’t forget about unions. If you ever feel like public support for unions is waning we need more discussion about it, not less.

@@iam3gion204 If you are touting Biden as a booster of unions you are utterly lost. You should just stop even thinking about these issues because you are not capable of helping. I don't like to say mean things for no reason but you are totally unaware that you are praising the steadfast enemy of unions or you are aware and you are just being deceptive. Either way, kindly, do something else with your time.

@@Will_Moffettyou were 100% wrong. Who the president is has cascading effects, NLRB rulings in the past 2 years have enabled labor more than the previous 50. The supreme Court would also be less of an enemy to labor had Trump not won in 2016. This both sides bs is lazy analysis.

@@Will_Moffett “all of this because people didn’t forget unions”
I specifically stated who was responsible for the increase in union support. It is the people, that’s how unions work. At no point did I insinuate Biden was some “booster of unions” rather I simply acknowledged that we did in fact get these things under “Trump *or Biden”*
The point I was making was that when both political parties try and ignore or block the existence of unions, that is when we have to step up and fight for them harder, not “forget them” because you don’t think we’ll get them. If you want to have candidates that truly support unions then you need to have more people being shown how the current system is broken, make unions a sticking point in the ballot. If we don’t continue to push worker consciousness when things are bad, people will continue to think things can’t be better. If everyone has taken your advice when you left that first comment we wouldn’t have the things we’ve gotten over the past two years. You are right in stating that it isn’t enough and that we need more top down structural changes; but only focusing on unions when they’re convenient will never work in a system that actively tries to make them inconvenient.
Regardless of you misreading my comment though what kind of response was that? You thought you were having a conversation with a misinformed pro union person and instead of trying to correct the things you thought I was wrong about, you instead told me to “never think about these things again because I am incapable of helping.” I tried to find a constructive way to address this but honestly the best I can come up with is pathetic. You say that you don’t like being mean for no reason, but you were, on purpose, so it doesn’t really mean much when you say that 🤷🏼‍♂️. I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you got heated by the perceived ignorance but I hope this isn’t how you normally engage with people because if it is you are part of the problem.

@@Will_MoffettI’m sorry, what are you talking about? Their NLRB under Biden has one of the most aggressively pro-union one it’s ever been. These UAW strikes are happening because of Biden’s NLRB and DOL policies. He marched on the picket line on the side of labor. Shawn Fain has endorsed Biden and said his actions have been instrumental for this wave of organizing.

Are you being purposefully vauge ? How is he making it harder to do such and such? The only thing half way concrete you said is you can't cuss someone out or do non work-related thing on company time or with company resources with the email or talking ... Which yeah, why should anyone pay you to do that? You are making accusations but I don't hear the actual data. how is he doing these things? under what form? I mean where? This is a pretty shit video. I mean if I was making it I would first give the law he made or eliminated. Then the definition and or beak down. Then how it has effected the work place up to this time and finally things that could happen and how it could change the work place in the future . Apparently it's only worth 3:14 minutes of your time and little mental effort, you just suck at reporting or this is propaganda bullshit. I'm undecided and unswayed and I'm bias. Good luck changing anyone's mind I guess..
