Robertas S. So? It just proves the durability of the explorer with how popular it is for high abuse professions. Cop car explorers don't have those black roof rails usually, so that's one way to spot the difference. It's often even more obvious than that, as alot of unmarked explorers still have cop wheels, spot lights etc. So it's very easy to spot the difference.

For real. I like these SUV
Ford has a hell of an engine in the 3.5 ecoboost. It's fords best and most technologicaly advanced gasoline engine. Think about it, it's standard in the F150 raptor and limited, expedition, navigator, explorer sport, (was) in the SHO and available in flex and mks, and the 647-660 hp version in the GT supercar. The only reason it's not offered in a mustang is because not only would people have a hard time deciding what engine to get.. it would very likely beat the 5.0 in retail sales. More than 50% of new mustangs sold are the 2.3 4 cylinder EcoBoost, fyi.

From a reliability standpoint, 3.5 standard V6 is the way to go IMO, same chassis as the Taurus

EveryThingAutomotive ETA the B&O sound system is way better. They are replacing all the Sony sound systems in the line up for the B&O system. Eco sport, f-series, and I believe mustang has it already.

Nice video, nice car!! :) I have the impression american makers recently take a lot from Range Rover models, design wise. I have NEVER seen power folding seats so far!! :D That looks great!! Even a nicely even surface there! Would have liked to see the chrome grill on this one. Might even look better than the sporty mesh. Nice exterior driving scenes. Since it's a SUV it doesn't matter that much that is a rainy day. It's not made for nice weather conditions... :) Hope you had a lot of fun driving this one! :)

Should be low 20s for lower trim levels and mid 30s for upper trim.
Wait a year or two and buy a used one with low miles. They drop big time. I'm buying a used sport with 7.5k miles that's 20 grand off msrp.

16 city 22 on the highway, not acceptable! when you have the new expedition which is a much bigger heavier SUV doing 17/24. On top of that Design is old already. This is a no go at this point....jmo

tony45x220 it has 365hp and 350trq. For what it is, it's not much of a slouch
Pennywise it's definitely a solid start, a little tuning and an exhaust will easily put this over 400...but OEM's are choked with the regulations I guess
tony45x220 I have a 2017 Sport in Magnetic and love it. I bought it new in April 2017 with 7 miles on it and now have almost 31k with no issues.
tony45x220 I'm not much of a fan of the sound of the V6 so a exhaust wouldn't be a choice of mine. Maybe downpipes, intake, and tune. I've had plenty of fast cars, so this isn't something I'm looking to make faster.
No ten speed? That six speed is a tad long in the tooth, I'd bet it would get slightly better mpg with the ten speed... I mean for that price, an outdated transmission just isn't acceptable, the industry standard is at least an 8 speed...

Nice! Hopefully it will bring you more joy than your current one. I test drove a used 2017 SE V6 AWD and for a V6 it was rather strained. It might have been that particular model but I was expecting crisp acceleration, instead I thought I was driving a 4 cylinder
DC Johnson that issue has been fixed on the 18's and if you buy a 17' it's a simple fix if the previous owner did already ha e it fixed.

Andrew Ballas it was only an issue with the police interceptors after they were modified.
That is fixed in the 2018 model

This engine is not small first of all. And puts out alot of power 0 to 60 6.1. that's slow for a big truck ? moron
Huh? It's engine is great! You don't need a big one when you have the Eco boost
