Its SOOO GOOOOD man and the OCG players clearly showcased that.
Maybe this will give us Salad players a big boost with Circle to 1. Who knows.
Also the OCG Salad players bricked way AND way less than the TCG Salad players. Its insane.

It's not like any other deck stood a chance.. people that thought salads arent going to win worlds certainly belong to the dumb part of this worlds population
well if you continuously play archetypes that komoney shovels out only to be hit reprinted or powercrept a few months later

Donno why this is labeled as OCG. Worlds uses a special ban list that combines both TCG and OCG.

Not that the people who this applies to will read this, but I'm just gonna say it anyway. What Konami of TCG does with their product has nothing to how the TCG performed at the tournament. These aren't the people who net deck as well, these are the people who others netdeck FROM. Not just anyone can qualify for world's
That being said, why did TCG do poorly? I think it's because of how different the game is in the TCG compared to the OCG. Dangers completely change the way the game is played and I feel it really shows. Not only that but Japan didn't have really anything to change when it comes to world's, so the TCG Players have around a month to scrabble and decide the best deck, whereas OCG already has an idea of what to play, and are very adapted to the format
I kinda wished you asked less generic questions. Like I am sure it feels great winning Worlds. I wanted to know for example, why he chose Salamangreat Deck or what he thinks of the Worlds banlist initially
I'm sure the language barrier played a part in that. Even with a translator it has to be pretty difficult to interview someone who doesn't speak the same language as you.

Congrats to Kouki, but this Worlds tournament was BORING! Good play all around, but livestream had a Salad deck every duel virtually. I hope that this does not happen again next year.

Great win for kouri 🙌🏼 but seriously konami combined the ocg & tcg list so we see other players win for once! An American will never win worlds with the ocg getting their ban list and their products months before us and having a great advantage to the rest of the world also why didn’t they combine the lists this year and had only the ocg ban list being implemented that automatically gives ocg players the WIN.
. . . . the banlist is a combined list , it was just combined for the TCG list from before the most recent one, the most recent one would have hurt the chances of the French & Australian TCG players who qualified playing Salad, it's not the banlist that stopped US players getting a lot of high level Salad practice, & it's not like there would have been any events to practice at anyway, too recent.
Come play in america, we have only tryhards skystriker players.

not really, Salad was predicted to do well before the TCG banlist came & when they did't use the most recent one it was obv in contention again, surprising so few people played striker though.
@@Marcusjnmc Friend of mine who's been playing the deck for probably a year now said that losing a Rota and a control card in favor of 2 multirole was actually worse for the world's format. That being said, I am also surprised it didn't see more play
@@theREALDonkeyKong957 aye, '.' the ocg hits, they're still the most successful deck there currently last I checked, though Maxx C has a big influence there. The reasons they weren't played seem specific to predicted worlds meta as opposed to not being good enough.

@@marcoverdi1568 Yes it's limited in the TCG. World's used a whole different list from TCG and OCG.
@@timestarmagician8654 To be fair, if the new TCG ban list was accepted, it wouldn't work, because:
Sky Striker, would go from, (1 Raye, 1 Hornet Drone, 2 Widow Wanker, 2 Engage, 2 Mystic mine, 1 terraforming, and 1Metaverse) to all of the previous cards, but with multi-role at 1 too, this is just murder.
Salamangreats: 1 Gazelle and 1 Circle made Salamangreats a rogue deck in the TCG, but in the world's, it would still have won in my eyes.
Thunder Dragon: I don't know how the deck operates with a pure variant, but if they used Eclipse Wyvern, they would have been prejudiced.
Orcust: Remove Bardiche AND Mermaid? This is just brutal.
Dragon Link: Any chance of this winning without Apollousa, Gumblar, and Maxx C, would be trowed of the window by not having Eclipse Wyvern, also Tempest would be irrelevant.
Altergeist: Nothing changed really.
Cyber Dragon: If Nachster was legal, then maybe they would benefit themselves from the merging lists.
Pendulum Magicians: Check the OCG, they hate this deck.
Trickstar: With one of their field spell and the other hits this deck has on the OCG? Nope.
So, everything would be a total disaster.
