Super poly/fusion of fire is a typical side deck if you go look up Cameron neal deck lists for example that topped a lot with the deck. It’s only useful in the mirror match, or in situations going second to otk. It’s not the best maindeck card
Well, I made a cheap SGreat deck with only 1 Backup Secretary and Flame Bufferlo. And it works magnificently. Oh, and I only use a single Sunlight Wolf
I would put the chimera in the side seeing as the fusion spell is in there too and stick in a level 6 or 7 synchro to use with e-teli and ghost ogre seeing as it's a tuner. This could be dawn dragster to negate, black rose to dark hole or stardust charge warrior to draw a card. The synchro monster or the second stallio or the dweller could then be sided out for chimera depending on the match-up
I kinda feel that without limiting Cyberse mining, the deck lost nothing but its budget friendliness. In the Berlin WCS, all top three competitors used pretty much identical Salad lists.
No called by the grave to protect your search/draw from circle/lady debug/cynet mining/flame bufferlo/foxy? You really need this to bring your combo out. Also you now play 1 fury of fire + will of the salamangreat instead of 2x copies of will of the salamangreat. But only if you play fennec also as an 1 off in here. You could also replace the 3x Pantazmay with 3x Called by the Grave. Also Avramax in testing is better than borrload because you can out every beatstick you want in your turn (what borrload can be outed easier). With 3x Flame Bufferlo you want to see him second more than first turn so playing at least 1 copy of fusion of fire would be good in this build or you play 2x Flame Bufferlo and have always a safer first turn. If you want to play Crusadia Reclusia in testing 2 is the best for going first however if you want to make going second go for 3x copies.
So if Salamangreat is no longer the best budget deck in Yugioh than what is? Day 1 of Waiting for Cimo to make a top 5 budget decks list for August 2019.
Pendulums is pretty cheap... actually really cheap and insanely good. You dont like combo decks? Try picking up Striker. Its more budget friendly now. Not too budget friendly because hand traps are expensive but the deck core might be under 100 dollars now

Guilherme Marinho Funny story. I once had a showdown between Borreload and Avramax on ygopro2. My Avramax won. Somehow triggering its effect caused Borreload to miss timing with its snatch steal effect and it just crashed into Avramax for a nice 3k damage 👌

You need to run 2 rage and 2 jack jaguar. They are basically extra gazelles. Rage is your best card and your ideal opening is to draw gazelle, send rage, stallio into jack, set rage with relinked sunlight wolf. You often can't draw gazelle, and need to summon it off stallio. And then you have to choose whether to send jack OR rage. If you draw one, you can send the other and get the ideal opening anyways.
The deck is STILL Tier 1. Absolutely. I play 2 Will of the Salamangreat, because I play the Update Jammer and Transcode Talker OTK. 2 Flame Bufferlo because the card just bricks and gets you 2 useless cards most of the time imo. I also play Upstart Goblin. Just play it. Its rlly good. I would highly play Fusion of Fire. The deck aint that great anymore when it comes to the grind game, and in this format you definetely want that extra push to end games asap.
One of things I've been testing out and has been working out well is throwing in Jackalope and Snek to help the rank 3 spam. Mainly cause they're getting you deeper into your deck and salamangreat doesn't really care about discards (sometimes even welcomed).
I've been trying a build I call "Salamanfloodgate" that really turns up the control aspect of the deck. I'm running the bare minimum for spells and I've been using stuff like anti spell, rivalry, and gozen. I've definitely seen some decent success with this type of build and I'm interested to see if anyone else has given this a shot
I like running Amphibious Swarmship Amblowhale in Salads as the link-4 monster personally. It's Fire, it offers removal, floating effect to revive a link monster and it can easily get over 3k attack in a deck like this, which link summons using monsters with the same name (and so fills the GY with link monsters), so it can take down some of the strongest boss monsters by battle. Not to mention it's a well cheap card for budget players :)
I feel like with the loss of consistency, violet chimera might be necessary in the extra deck. I tried this build against sky striker and my resources wiltered away a lot faster than before the July banlist. The violet chimera win condition might be the thing that puts this deck back on top, especially since super poly is now at 3. Called by the grave is also even more important to this deck than it was before. Salamangreat plays are a lot more limited, so if they get ash'd, you might as well scoop.
If you make another salamangreat deck profile, try changing secretary for 2 archiver; cyberse, lv3, special from hand OR grave. Love your vids, keep up the good work!
Cimoo. I've included bagooska in the extra deck on top because I love him. So now I don't onow what to cut. The 3rd Balelynx or the 2nd Stallio?? What's your opinion and please explain. Me personally, I used to play 1 stallio and 2 balelynx... I think I make 3 balelynx 1/10 games or so... Same for 2nd stallio.
As a salam player with plenty of experience i would opt to drop the balelynx since it could be brought back in various ways. While having only 2 stallio it would really suck to get one of them hand trapped or something like that. Before the july banlist I thought it would be a good idea as well for 1 stallio and it got striked. So I would personally cut the balelynx since u still would have 2 and at most how often do u need to turbo out into a bale in one game?
Where's the love for UFO Turtle? When UFO Turtle is destroyed or sent to the graveyard special summon one fire type monster with 1500 or less attack points
The best alternative of phantazmy is probably pankratops, ik ik it's not a hand trap but it is a 2600 summon if you're going second or if you get your board wiped, and the best alternative to cynet mining is cynet backdoor
For me is better Avramax then borreload, because for salaman is so easy to make and you can use it to stall the match, a lot of decks can't out it because is a 3000 atk that gains atk and if your opponent out it you can out one opponent card, for me is the best solution

i dont think its right to say that the deck can still do the same as before if you can make miragestallio because you usually get jackjaguar with mirage. Now you have to get gazelle with mirage which gonna foolish jack insteaf of the trap
I'm surprised more people don't run Foolish Burial Goods in this deck, considering you can recover up to 2 in-archetype spells per turn, three if you set Roar by its effect. I was running a couple before the July list just to extend through Gazelle's hard OPT.
I run beat bison I'm surprised more people don't. It's a main deck 2800 body that is easy to summon, off of its own effect or Will of the Salamangreat, and can negate multiple monsters while recycling your link monsters.
For all budget player, replacement for phantazmay: you can play 2 or even 3 fowl to go into rank 4's more often, then play number 60 in the extra, he draws 2 cards!! Also I play 2 copies of will of the salamangreat, seeing it in the starterhand isn't bad! Cynet mining has no replacement sadly...
You should swap out 2 secretary for 1 wheeler and 1 tracker. They do the same thing but let you play around there can only be one. It sounds niche but it comes up very often.
But if you're up against there can only be one and you use those 2 monsters you mentioned for a mirage stallio, you still wouldnt be able to use stallio's effect so you'd still be locked down...
As much as it pains me I don’t think salad is tier 1 as the deck’s main power points were consistency and recursion. With 1 gazelle and q circle the consistency is, by my calculations, almost cut in half. (My deck had 10 ways of searching gazelle, and 4 of those are gone and I had 1 debut, 3 gazelle, 3 circle, and 3 cyber mining so I don’t know of any other searching options). But I may be wrong.

If you just care about consistency and are willing to play the risk debug, I would encourage you to try summoner monk. Debug gets effect on special, so you special it off of summoner monk and go on with plays. Monk also goes into the almiraj link monster. Let me know if you are in favor of my idea.
Been playing Degrade Buster, the card is kinda like a bls. Also, with Diagust Emerald back i feel like it's better to replace the second copy of Stallio with it as it can reccure the Stallio in addition to drawing a card!
No Called by the Grave? Also, I like using Time Thief Redoer, since I'm not rich enough to get 3 Phantazmays. I can usually steal a spell and draw a card that way. :-) If not, I can at least free up my Extra Monster Zone for later plays, and I can easily trigger Falco or get Jack Jaguar back into the GY on cue.
There is no for mining except cNet backdoor but that is a lot worse. Phantazmay has no real replacement either but just don't play him he isn't a must. Play a sec fowl, a 2nd roar for example and upstart I'd say
Lol nah I had 3x cynet mining, but 3x bufferlo, circle, debug, two pot of desires and maybe one cynet backdoor will still let you play the deck but not optimally
What would happen if you have 100 life points and pay half to use Judgement which would take you to 50 and then somehow you manage to survive and use the 2nd copy to take you to 25 and then somehow by the grace of the 3 god cards you manage to activate the 3rd ? Do you get 12.5 LP ? Lmao

@@doctorapocalips9203 Because you don't side in Super Poly/Fusion of Fire targets or you just give away one of your side deck choices to your opponent and they can easily play around it. Not like Salamangreat need all 15 extra deck spots anyway, so you have the room to throw in a Violet Chimera or a Starving Venom and not disrupt any of your other cards.
Orcust might be a little more affordable because it does not need to rely on Phantasmei or Cynet Mining for consistency. As far as how easy they are to understand... well id say they are both beginner friendly. Neither one has tooooo complicated of combos. There are ALOT of ways to build Orcust though. Its basically just a splashable engine that can be thrown into any given deck that easily puts 2 monsters on field. i.e. Trickstar, Danger, hell even blackwings. And given the only expensive card in the Orcust engine is Dingirsu which you only need 2 of... im gonna say Orcust. Salamangreat is amazing at what it does but isnt budget friendly anymore if you want to play the most consistent and competitive version whereas Orcust can be pretty competitive on a budget.
I would really like to know how your side deck looks. Im trying to figure out if siding super poly and starving venom is worth the space compared to some other cards that out the current meta
Backup secretary isn’t good. Play Psychic Wheeldeeler instead, you can turbo it out with E-Tele to do all your usual plays, and being a tuner you can sometimes summon Trishula.
The Cyberse Time Thief Yeah backup secretary certainly has its applications. But Salamangreats have tons of cards that go into Balelynx. Wheeldeeler is just the better extender because if you brick and somehow open an Ash Blossom and a Wheeldeeler, you can still use them to make a miragestallio

Been testing triple Crackdown in the main & I love it. We’ve slowed down anyway so why not?
I also use crackdown in the deck. Taking an opponent's Saryuja mid-combo on the opponent's turn is so satisfying
I can see fitting two in. Maybe drop a Judgment and the E-Tele for two Crackdown. At least, going by his build and adjusting some numbers.

I run both avramax and borrelload in my extra deck and I love having both options
I play both, but once I was playing a Endymion dark magician player and Avermax killed the guy all on his own. I needed no other cards.

For all budget player, replacement for phantazmay: you can play 2 or even 3 fowl to go into rank 4's more often, then play number 60 in the extra, he draws 2 cards!! Also I play 2 copies of will of the salamangreat, seeing it in the starterhand isn't bad! Cynet mining has no replacement sadly...

Every time I banished my own Gazelle and Circle, I just went for Transcode or Violet Chimera OTK
You should swap out 2 secretary for 1 wheeler and 1 tracker. They do the same thing but let you play around there can only be one. It sounds niche but it comes up very often.
But if you're up against there can only be one and you use those 2 monsters you mentioned for a mirage stallio, you still wouldnt be able to use stallio's effect so you'd still be locked down...

As much as it pains me I don’t think salad is tier 1 as the deck’s main power points were consistency and recursion. With 1 gazelle and q circle the consistency is, by my calculations, almost cut in half. (My deck had 10 ways of searching gazelle, and 4 of those are gone and I had 1 debut, 3 gazelle, 3 circle, and 3 cyber mining so I don’t know of any other searching options). But I may be wrong.
I'm sad. My budget deck is obsolete so now I have to spend $400 just to play Salads again.

If you just care about consistency and are willing to play the risk debug, I would encourage you to try summoner monk. Debug gets effect on special, so you special it off of summoner monk and go on with plays. Monk also goes into the almiraj link monster. Let me know if you are in favor of my idea.
Why play backup secretary instead of sea archiver? You can discard it with bufferlo AND summon from the gy to turbo stallio in the same turn

Been playing Degrade Buster, the card is kinda like a bls. Also, with Diagust Emerald back i feel like it's better to replace the second copy of Stallio with it as it can reccure the Stallio in addition to drawing a card!

No Called by the Grave? Also, I like using Time Thief Redoer, since I'm not rich enough to get 3 Phantazmays. I can usually steal a spell and draw a card that way. :-) If not, I can at least free up my Extra Monster Zone for later plays, and I can easily trigger Falco or get Jack Jaguar back into the GY on cue.

There is no for mining except cNet backdoor but that is a lot worse.
Phantazmay has no real replacement either but just don't play him he isn't a must. Play a sec fowl, a 2nd roar for example and upstart I'd say
Yh you can run two jaguars, two rage and two roar and play two pot of desires. I won a locals with that

Lol nah I had 3x cynet mining, but 3x bufferlo, circle, debug, two pot of desires and maybe one cynet backdoor will still let you play the deck but not optimally
What would happen if you have 100 life points and pay half to use Judgement which would take you to 50 and then somehow you manage to survive and use the 2nd copy to take you to 25 and then somehow by the grace of the 3 god cards you manage to activate the 3rd ? Do you get 12.5 LP ? Lmao

He probably has a fusion of fire in the side or super poly. Some people main deck the super poly and or the fusion of fire

@@doctorapocalips9203 Because you don't side in Super Poly/Fusion of Fire targets or you just give away one of your side deck choices to your opponent and they can easily play around it. Not like Salamangreat need all 15 extra deck spots anyway, so you have the room to throw in a Violet Chimera or a Starving Venom and not disrupt any of your other cards.

I’m starting Yugioh and I’m hesitating between playing a Salamangrear or an Orcust deck. Wich one is the best for a beginner to understand ?
Orcust might be a little more affordable because it does not need to rely on Phantasmei or Cynet Mining for consistency. As far as how easy they are to understand... well id say they are both beginner friendly. Neither one has tooooo complicated of combos. There are ALOT of ways to build Orcust though. Its basically just a splashable engine that can be thrown into any given deck that easily puts 2 monsters on field. i.e. Trickstar, Danger, hell even blackwings. And given the only expensive card in the Orcust engine is Dingirsu which you only need 2 of... im gonna say Orcust. Salamangreat is amazing at what it does but isnt budget friendly anymore if you want to play the most consistent and competitive version whereas Orcust can be pretty competitive on a budget.

Backup secretary isn’t good. Play Psychic Wheeldeeler instead, you can turbo it out with E-Tele to do all your usual plays, and being a tuner you can sometimes summon Trishula.
Backup Secretary is good because it is Cyberse, so, it can sometimes be used for Balelynx

Yeah backup secretary certainly has its applications. But Salamangreats have tons of cards that go into Balelynx. Wheeldeeler is just the better extender because if you brick and somehow open an Ash Blossom and a Wheeldeeler, you can still use them to make a miragestallio

While I do like this deck profile I've already moved on to another deck to use instead of salads, I'm having more fun playing zombies than I ever did playing salads in all honesty
