    The best feature that you didn't mention is how quiet it is and smooth. Even compared to the XP. All the torque comes on 3000 RPM less than the XP! Therefore you have all your power at low RPM.

    Thanks for the great reviews Luke! Just called on a new 24 Ranger 1000 Premium listed at 13,999. Sales guy told me out the door would be around 17k. I checked another dealership that had same machine listed at 15,899 and guess what, out the door price again was around 17k. Watch out for shady dealers. Thanks again!

    Great review DTTV. Anybody that owns and rides Polaris machines for any length of time....know what they are getting and know what they aren't getting. Polaris planted the flag on the full size UTV market. Great ride quality....smooth drive and clutching delivery......and plenty of power at every displacement level. Everyone is making quality Utility machines today.....Polaris has been doing it longer. This coming from a CFMOTO guy.

    Agree 100% about the nets, I want doors protecting me and ever SXS should have a roof. Only other thing I'd say is I'd like to see a different tire package on it with 27 or 28's with a 14 inch rim, 26's just don't seem right for a 1000.

    Instead of mentioning ride command, for about $70.00 you can get a tablet holder that replaces that center cup holder and give you a second glove box. The tablet with the Polaris app installed can give you most of the ride command features with the extra features of a good tablet for a fraction of the price. Takes less than 5 minutes to install. Also on my 20 model, the engine breaking is very aggressive on stock tires. When I bumped it up to 28" tires, it made it perfect. The only thing I really disliked was the open space behind the back wheels for mud to collect in the battery box area. I am not sure why Polaris left that open. I fixed that with a set of Grizzztek guards.

  • @garyhunt7502

    Good overview of the Ranger. I agree with you about the nets. Regardless whether it’s a basic model or an XP, Polaris and Can Am for that matter, should offer roofs and half doors. I understand price points but why not make an otherwise excellent machine a better value?

    Good video and review. Just wondering how tall you are? I'm 6'4" and sat in this 2024 UTV and it seemed a bit cramped but workable. Does the mule FXR 1000 Pro have more legroom (nice shirt!)?

    Nice job!..I have the 2021 1000 premium,and the only 2 things I can think you might have missed is the premium has the premium auto paint and the premium has power steering.
    In 2021 you could get a step above base with an EPS(ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING) model that only added power steering without the other premium features. I haven't checked to see if the offers and features are different for the 2022 models.....You did a very good job!

    Why does Polaris have the rubber bottle/can tiedowns on the touring model, but not on others like the the SxS's?
    They have the product already, just put it across the lineup and keep people's stuff secured. Win win, I get my water still and the trails have less garbage from lost beverage containers.

    I still don't understand why half doors are not standard. 18k for vehicle with no doors. Really!

  • @atvseatexchange2176
    @atvseatexchange2176 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    An adjustable driver's seat is a safety issue. I drive sxs's 6 days per week at the shop and between testing after a repair, or moving a machine to the other building for storage, some level of driver comfort is necessary. Dealing with clutch engagement variations, climbing in and out with different door styles, and visibility issues are enough to deal with. The difference in horsepower from one to another is compounded by an uncomfortable seating position. Since I don't own any of these vehicles and need to be responsible with them, I think the safety issue for the operation of any machine when drivers range from 5ft to 6 and a half foot tall is so obvious that I'm having trouble understand this. I've weathered many Polaris "upgrades" instead of the "recall" that would make sense as a consumer, and this shows that the thinking at the top of the corporation have little regard for the consumer except taking their money and hiding behind lawyers and paperwork.

      The difference is, no other brand other than cfmoto will give you a center seat that flops around like a wet noodle.
      It's been years of that poor design and yet it remains.

    • @EC_ATV_Outdoors
      @EC_ATV_Outdoors 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dirttraxtv the other thing, cfmoto motors are very underpowered for their sizes. Take any cc and put it against any other brands same cc class and the cfmoto will underperform.
      Now is that a deal breaker, not likely. But if your going to brag on the trail you have a 1000, you should at least be able to outperform your buddy with the Suzuki 750 lol.

      @@tompalmer8049 cfmoto HP numbers don't compete in the real world. Why, I don't know. Maybe clutching, maybe where the HP is rated (shaft vs wheel). And I'm not saying they are junk.
