Hello Mr. General WashingMachine
Young lad,
be phlegmatic no more,
I say, young lad, lift thyself from the floor,
I say, young lad, though thou art lone and poor,
'tis no cause, to, be, so, daunted
Young lad, thou hast one more resort,
I say, young lad, when thy purse runneth short,
Thou mayst stay there, and no doubt, thou shalt find,
Countless ways, of, cas-ting, pain off
- - - - -
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
Where the men of god stay, kind and excellent men,
As a humblest brethren,
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
Let thy soul be reborn, seeking women no more,
If it ever had done before,
Young lad!
Hearest thou what I say?
I say, young lad, wilt thou join us today?
I say, young lad, for with us you can stay,
and I tell, you, now, this warning,
No man, can live life just alone,
I say, young lad, cast thy pride from its home,
and come join us, at the monastery,
I say, we, can, help, thee, this day,
- - - - -
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
Where the men of god stay, kind and excellent men,
As a humblest brethren,
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
Let thy soul be reborn, seeking women no more,
If it ever had done before,
Young lad,
I once felt just as you,
In truth, I was, lost without any truth,
It seem'd no man, cared to share in my time,
It seem'd in, my, world, no, sun shined
That day, one man strode up to me,
and said, 'Young lad, hear'st thou hymns down the street?
In that place, there, in the monastery,
They will help, thee, back, on, thy way,
- - - - -
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y
Where the men of god stay, kind and excellent men,
As a humblest brethren,
'tis well to stay at yon mon-as-ter-y

Also In The Navy..don't forget.
Booo...
As an alternative it would’ve been funny if it been renamed “Mon-As-Te-Ray” for shits & giggles - since when you think about it, the average medieval monastery was basically a YMCA with better architects

Yes, the Merry Singers from the Village included a longshoreman, a cattle-owner of the landed gentry, a Freemason still in his Initiate's apron, a soldier in his green tunic dressed as if returning from the war, a right and honorable member of the Castle Guard, and one of the warriors brought over from the New World.
A knight, a peasant, a monk and an Aztec warrior doing the Mon-Es-Ta-Ry in front of a church would be amusing to watch and would attract future monks.
What is mon es tá ry?
"Twas' lord, tis' we heading to the crusades?"
"No, brave knight, we must go to the Young Man's Crusader Association!"
There are vast differences in how good a bardcore version of a song works out. This one is definitely one of the best I've heard so far.
I use these for a DnD campaign I'm making. In every tavern there are minstrels, and if they pay them, they play a song and I sing medieval style lyrics to it. It's very helpful.
I: "Lo, Passeth thy lute"
They: "Thoust shan't play rubbish"
I:
