I've been watching for a while now, and I must say that I love the old character style more than this new one. But as always, the videos are amazing!

I know this concept was originally developed for a quick simple game to help you move through the game in a single session, but I always though it should have been called the "5 Space/Area Dungeon".

I agree with you, that would make more sense. But the "5 Room Dungeon" just has a snappier name to it tho...

Tbh, this method reminds me of some of the areas in Legends of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Got any ways of making modified low level creatures as bosses? I had an expanding list of creatures that would make good as a random bosses for random dungons or such.
One that i liked was a rune carver imp, seprerated from their master as their task was done and taking their spell book along. Not focused on spell casting but being empowered by it. Having rune knight enlarging ability.
The thought of a small creature becoming large and becoming invisible at will. That will steam roll a party member.
But also not out right evil npc. This imp could trade things and info while traveling such caves.
Its always nice to have rp beat combat based off circumstances.

If you're thinking of having bosses for your dungeon, having something like a hierarchy does seem like something that would lend well to the dungeon. And in this way, lair actions could be a fun mechanic to implement. Definitely giving them some buffs either in the form of resistances, extra HP, some special actions that they can take that make them feel a bit tougher to deal with... do these help?
