This game sounds incredibly complex, and the narrative seems to be worth experiencing. This one is definitely shooting up my list.
I will buy this game just because it has an option to change the text size. Every single game made today should have this option.
Sounds good to me. Maybe you guys could cobble together a list of mystery / detective games on the switch (Sherlock Holmes, Disco Elysium, The Nintendo Detective series, some of the Visual Novels, Paradise killer) and give some comparison / contrast between them and what the strength and weaknesses of the genere.

Great review. Appreciate you putting this on the radar. If there’s a physical announced, I’ll likely have to pick up a copy. Played Disco Elysium earlier this year on Switch and loved every minute of it. This definitely looks to provide a similar, albeit unique, experience.

Thanks for bringing this one to my attention because it had completely passed me by! I think I might have to give this one a go as even with its flaws it definitely looks like something I could lose myself in! I am intrigued by this title. I like the viewpoint, the narrative style game play and its premise. I'm not too keen on no combat but a lack of violent activity does not equate to a bad gaming experience. Welcome to the Wish List.

I’ve been playing for a couple of days now, the game is amazing. The story, the gameplay, the detective style, it’s all good. I loved disco E, and in a couple of ways I like this more. The ONLY downside for me would be more recorded dialogue. Voice acting would make this game 100%, but still great nonetheless.

While I haven't experienced any crashes, my character did get stuck in the middle of a street once, causing me to lose about half an hour of play. I tried saving and reloading after I realized I was stuck, but the game loaded up with my character still stuck, so I had to reload the next oldest save. That said, the game is really pretty good. Just make sure to save often in case something like this happens.
Fwiw, the place I got stuck was near the circular fountain (?) type thing seen in the middle of the area at 1:08 in this vid. I'm not sure if that spot is bugged for others, but it definitely was for me. That issue aside, though, a pretty solid game. Great review.
Has happened to me too in several places. It appears to be completely random. It's a shame, cause it's really game breaking, losing several hours of progress.

I was actually waiting for your review before considering a purchase, but now I still don't know lol! I think the lack of full voice acting is what bothers me the most, as this was executed so perfectly in Disco Elysium.
Big sale at the moment, this review (which I watched before, but was just as informative the second time) tied the knot for me. Now I only have to find time to play it, my backlog is growing....
You already sold me a copy of this during your sale video but I've yet to put any time into it. I like this new trend of narrative focused RPG's though, and I would rather play something fascinating yet flawed like this than any number of your typical AAA franchises.

Watching this after the video today giving this a heavy interest, saw it on epic free games a while back and didn't know much about it, kicking myself for that, should have just grabbed it anyways.
Aw man no combat? This looked like fun but I’m not big on those narrative type games.

I wanted disco Elysium on my switch but it took so long to get there I had already bought disco Elysium on xbox and stadia so I'm going to pick this up instead.
I am worried about the text size in handheld, glad to see there's an option. Did you it try it? Is it easily readable?

I like the game, but already suffered a game breaking bug. In the second mission (orange folk) when I entered the guild house, all of a sudden I couldn't move, at all. Quit to the main menu, reloaded, still couldn't move. Had to start a new game, very frustrating

When I read on it on the eShop my first thoughts were " it's a disco elsum" and it unfortunately seems like that maybe the case but it doesn't mean it's bad. I may be picking it up while it's on sale.

have been waiting for this game for 2 years for Switch, but then I heard it's without voice recorded dialogue, which to me sounds very depressing. I have to get it though, but felt bummed out that it was without voice dialogue. :( Was hoping for a new State of Mind awesome experience, with recorded dialogue where the game felt like I was part of a movie.
If only there was 'more time in the day' dlc

Yes I did - I said I liked that that was introduced, doesn’t stop me being lame and testing out whether I can change things when I balls up haha! I’m still that 10 year old kid smashing the F5 and F6 keys on my PC 😂

Was so close to getting this before I heard 30fps. It’s the one thing that keeps me from getting games nowadays. PS5, XSX, and pc have spoiled me with 60. I can’t even go back and play Bloodborne!
