@@Toon-Tony I thought that too but was unsure at the time of finding it. The Polish were stationed there defending the coastline, WW2. As you probably know one invented the first metal detector. Thanks for your comment.

Back in the 1980s at tentsmuir
I used to find loads of the 20mm brass in the woods
    Really nice condition
You would find the bullet heads on the beach or in the side of the dunes
Went up a few years ago and all I found was some rusty ammo belt clips
Also looked like the dunes and forrest with all the ammo in had been removed by machines
Dunes were flattened and forrest trees further back from what I remember

@@donaldross4217 yes its all changed unfortunately. Herd loads of stories about ammo lying about in the 60s and 70s. Thank you for your comment. Cheers

At low tide, there’s a lot of beach there, a few coins is always nice, I do like a ship half penny, only ever found one in Australia

Just you? Solo on beach? I do not have luck recently. Low tide is too hight on December. My permissions are poor. Never detected this beach. What do you think about Kirkcaldy beach? I ll go out tomorrow but where to go?

2000yr old coins come out better than some of our UK coins, there will be no coins for future generations to find😮. ❤
