Hope that Kerry and yourself had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy new year. Fantastic finds as always really enjoyed the update on the data unit from the weather balloon I would never have guessed it was one of those, didn’t think they still sent up weather balloons with all the tech we have at our hands today great find though really nice to get an update on that. Great video keep up the fantastic work and look forward to the next one
We did have a lovely christmas with the family thank you, hope you had a fantastic christmas too. We were totally surprised with the radiosond too, funnily enough use to be a met weather station local so its probably from there. Thanks for watching, and wishing you and the family all the best wishes from me and kerry for 2025 happy new year!
Those weather balloon tags are great finds! Better than the radio tags off pigeons that I find here, lol. My mate used to carve used bottle corks into the shape of those giant heads from Easter Island (with the hat thing on top). Then he put tiny white plastic beads in for the eyes. They looked surprisingly good, especially carved out of dense corks like from champagne bottles. Happy New Year!
I would like to find one of those pigeon tags cant you find all the info out of the pigeon from them!? Might have a go at an easter island head always up for a challenge! Happy new year mate may you have a year packed with amazing finds GL&HH FOR 2025! 🎆🎆🎆🎇
@@bottlesandblisters Yeah, could look up the old style pigeon tags online and report the missing bird but now a lot of owners only radio tag them so unless you've got access to a reader (like a vet) it's just a standard grey-blue plastic ring. I bet there are old metal military pigeon rings in the sands out your way.
@@bottlesandblisters A carrier pigeon message capsule is a truly great find. Some capsules still have notes inside! I love that they gave pigeons medals for bravery too.
I thought I recognised the beach you was on,,especially when you said uo the coast in great Yarmouth,,,im Happisburgh area i love fossil hunting would be good to say hello 👋
Opening shot reminds me of where I used to go beachcomber. It was on the west side of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Mile upon mile of sandy pebbly beach where you can find all manner of staff, get yourself there after a good storm.❤
We intend to start travelling around at some point check some different places out! Sounds amazing! Tho! Got a good storm coming in the next couple of days, we will be straight out after! Happy new year! 🎆🎇
@bottlesandblisters and best wishes to you also. There's alsorts gets washed up there, including ground to air missile debris. This is because of the MOD facility nearby that test fires missiles.
@ sounds like a good mix of stuff washes up that end, we often finds bits of old aircraft washed up, along with the Bakelite nose cones from the anti aircraft shells. Nice finding something different from time to time.
@bottlesandblisters definitely, over there you occasionally get those really big seeds, loads and loads of trawl floats, occasional glass ball floats, basically ANYTHING!
We had an amazing year thank you, we hope you did too.wishing you all the best wishes luck and happiness for 2025 from me and kerry happy new year Susan 🥰🧡💙💙🩵🌲🎁🎇🎆
Your weather balloon bits probably aren't that old, but we used to regularly see weather balloons being sent up near Hemsby in the sixties - We used to have a holiday bungalow down Long Beach road.
I think that kn1fe handle is celluloid from around the turn of the last century. Blade will be stainless steel. Celluloid was a kind of early plastic that degrades over time. I'm still using cutlery with these handles that came from my Grandad and they're fine. Wouldn't put 'em in the dishwasher though. And not good to leave 'em in the oven or under the grill as they burn a treat making a lot of smoke.
I agree with you, its already started shrinking a little bit, we wont be using them don’t you worry altho if looked after would probably last a life time. Wonder how many people accidentally set them on fire!
wow look at the teeth marks on those weather gizmos..I wouldn't want to be near the animal that did that.anyways I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a wonderful New Year's.
Happy new year, hope you had a lovely christmas too. ❤️ the beaches round here are very popular with dog walkers. I should imagine those have been used to play a few games of fetch over the years 😅
Perhaps you could give the lost toys to a local children’s centre, or the Lifeboat cafe & in season they could do a hire your sand play essentials for the day 🤷♀️ either way they’d get used again. That was a gorgeous piece of bone. Didn’t look like it had been in the sea waves for very long. Where’s the red crag deposits near you? Wishing you both a very Happy New Year x
Happy new year! Thats a great idea dont often find the toys in very good condition, but food for thought in the future! The red crag can be found all along here (the Norfolk coast) but crag deposits can also be found as far inland as Norwich. 😃
Brilliant mate fully enjoyed and love the skittle bottle and the bone as well is very cool. Happy newyear and all the best in 2025🎉🎉
Thanks tony happy new year wishing you all the best for 2025 💪🎇🎆
The flower bulb looks like an Amaryllis. Good luck with it.

I have to agree with you, would u agree they are around the age of the old met weather station between hemsby and ormesby?
