Glad you found it useful!
Great video!
@@Jamesytech22I’ve been studying for the CCNA for 7 months. Did all of Jeremy’s IT labs videos and the labs and boson exsim exams. Taking my CCNA Monday. Your video was very helpful. 👊 #Subscriber309
Hi Jamesy.
Nice video. You really know what CCNA is testing about.
I will get back to this video in August as I have enrolled the exam at that month, and take this video for quick look again.
Thanks again for sharing.
nice, good luck. btw can you schedule on any date and time or are they specific ones?
I'll be taking mine in August, if I pass I'm coming back to give you a like, another comment and a subscription!
Thanks bro
May 2024, it's OK not everyone can pass the CCNA
Great video
very helpful
Leaving this comment here as I am going to be taking my test mid-June. I will be back after taking my test, hopefully I pass. Feel free to comment to remind me to update this comment.
EDIT: 06/29. I took my test on the 26th and passed!!!
same im taking it in june!
I'm taking it in June as well. Good luck everyone!
Did you pass?
@@unappetizingtolookat i was not ready i pushed it back to july 1st lol but im definitely ready i dont know if i will pass since 95 percent of people fail during the first try according to google
did you pass?
🎉🎉❤❤
This video was perfect! Question how/what did you study the last day before your exam? I’m trying to figure how to find a way to do a final review properly.
@@Jamesytech22 thank you for your feedback man! I appreciate it
@@Jamesytech22 thanks for your feedback man, I passed yesterday! 🙏🏾
What would you recommend we memorize to put on the whiteboard/cheat sheet to help us throughout the exam?
Subnetting chart at the very least, for sure.
Great vid and congrats... what about ipv6?
There will be a little bit about ipv6 but not too much. Know what it is, how many bits, and how to look at ipv6 routing tables
I don't have experience in IT field, but you recommend the CCST cybersecurity or networking from cisco?
I took mine 2019 and i didnt get any sim labs which i was kind of glad 😂😂. For thouse who need to renew it know that cisco u is offering free courses (one every 30 days) and you can ear 16 CE credits so you can renew your cert for free (you need 30 CE credits to renew your ccna). I just earned 16 this week.
Im raeally glad and proud of you, i hope and wish to give it anytime soon too, im homeschooling it and did it by Jeremy's it lab and just finsihed the course, i gotta practice and revise now. i hope i do that quickly. but i got one question for you, are you eligible after this to get some kinda networking job or projects? since i saw the average CCNA salary is around $7k?
You can 100% get a job from this certification. Salary will vary based on the job title.
@@Jamesytech22nicee!! that's cool!
Thanks
Thank you soo much for your insight. I have the exam in a months time and I feel a lot better. Just a quick question did you learn anything outside the common ports such as CAPWAP?
Also if you don’t mind me asking what were you scoring in BOSON?
Yeah, there was a unit on CAPWAP and I believe they mentioned LWAPP. I think the first time around doing exam mode (can't change your answers) I got an 80ish. Then by the time I was about to take the test I got a 92% on my last one. Boson is significantly harder than the real test IMO.
Thank you so much for this insight
By the way, there is no CCNA Routing and Switching exam. I passed it 4 years ago and they went to a general CCNA. With that said, it’s mostly route and switch as I’m studying for it again but there is no exam currently called the CCNA Route and Switch.
Yeah I learned that after I made the video. I remember when I first started the Cisco Academy program in 2020 I remember hearing it called that.
About the Lab questions, is the configurations like Packet Tracer with autocomplete and "?" help? or another mechanism?
@@Jamesytech22 If I use autocomplete and "?" Does it affect the question grade? Because if I can use them and with the same grade I think the lab questions are much easier the MCQs and DnD.
is there a difference between ccna and ccna routing and Switching ?
Do they provide full score explanation with section breakdowns in PDF format? If so, do you mind doing a video on your report?
They break it down into 5 categories. It tells you your percentage in each domain. Other than that they don’t give an explanation but only the percents. I could do a video on that though.
@@Jamesytech22 That would be amazing!
Can i use a pen and paper? For subnetting questions i can't do those with actually writing them..
You will have a whiteboard and marker to use as scrap paper.
Do you have any working experience in the field yet?
Are there different kinds of CCNA exams? I thought there is only one type of CCNA exam that covers intro to every networking concept.
There is only one exam. When I first started learning CCNA topics I heard that there were multiple versions of the exam which there were but those have been retired. I made a mistake when making the video.
can you share your exsim exam ? because i cant aford that
my teacher give me ccna exam but i cant aford that exsim exam
love from india
Do we need to learn ISIS, EIGRP for 200-301 ?
Could you please suggest best free dump sites !
Subnetting is KICKING MY ***! Any resources you can suggest for practice?
Google subnetting practice book. They have the student and instructor version for the answer. Do it page by page and you'll get it. It's free by the way.
The subnetting chapter in Todd lammles CCNA book is what I used. Do lots of exercises and make sure you write it all down on paper. It really helps!
1 to 2 months, a good amount of time to study for CCNA?
Completely depends on how much time you have to study and how much prior experience/knowledge you have.
Wierdly I took the exam like last week. and i got like 68 or 69 questions. multiple choice, match sumulation and look at the output and tell me what command produced that output
Wow I’ve never heard of that many questions. I think I had like 102 or something. Did you have lab questions?
th-cam.com/video/aYSzPt-Ubls/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P043L1nWm4YXOMcL had something similar to these ( 2:42 ) .And then we had something where we referred to the diagram which was output and asked what command gave this output.
I should stop saying we when I’m the one who took the test.
hey i got 743 on boson sim in my exams will i pass ccna?
If you’re confident then yes. Boson is harder than the CCNA. Examtopics has questions from the actual exam so see how you do on those.
Wait what? i cant go back once i answer a question?
You cannot.
Math is assumingly people's least favorite topic. Apparently, subnetting is annoyingly a strong or popular topic when discussing the CCNA.
Haha yeah. It becomes second-hand nature as long as you get over the hill of studying subnetting.
Subnetting is probably the most important skill to master for the CCNA and it involves quite a bit of math. But it really isn't that hard. Go through subnetting chapters in books and videos and do lots of exercises. Make sure you write everything down on paper and after a while it becomes second nature.
Which kinds of configuration lab you got in exam?
Does the CCNA exam has labs still?
Yes.
Absolutely if anything there’s more lab questions now. Mine had 4 lab questions and 90 multiple questions instead of over 100
I just scrolled through a sea of people yelling at me about I.T to find this video.
Lol hope the video was helpful!
0:38 there's only 1 CCNA.
@@Jamesytech22 There used to be but they redid it so there is only one awhile ago.
Scop on ccna
Can you elaborate?
Sir. After we got the certificate in which profession we can get job? an what is the starting salary for freshers ...
@@seikeiranggilbert6007 Sure. It will depend on your location. But there are a few ways you could head. Usually, starting in IT, you'll do some help desk position or job. However, if you leverage the cert right, you could land an entry level NOC or network technician position. Starting salary in the US would probably be around 40-60k. Wide range but if you're in help desk, you'll likely make a little less but NOC positions usually will start low to mid 20s an hour.
Did you eat catchup?
??
Nah... that's lipstick bro.
@@sonnyk4840Lol no?

Total waste of time. Cisco is old news.
@@Jamesytech22 I'll help you with that, CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA), Linux Network Administrator from Linux foundation; could keep going and let's not even get into cloud.
@@Jamesytech22 Cisco is a for-profit company, and their certifications are not required for most jobs. This means that they have a financial incentive to keep people paying for their certifications, even if the content is outdated.
