  • In 2003, the Dubai government embarked on one of the most insane megaprojects imaginable - create man-made islands in the ocean, shaped of the world's countries. It was supposed to be a short boat ride from Dubai, but today, more than 20 years after construction began, more than 90% of the man-made islands sit completed abandoned.
This is, The Catastrophic Failure of Dubai’s Man-Made Islands.
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2
Also, the idea for this video was inspired by "neo" who posted a video on a similar topic in May 2020 titled "Why Dubai's Man-Made Islands Are Still Empty" You can watch their version here - • Why Dubai's Man-Made I...

The first week went well and was just simple and "basic" stuff. In the second week, I destroyed the beehive with a tool that had no "silk touch". 2 of my 3 bees died after stinging me. I was so annoyed that it took thousands of blocks to find a bee nest.
So I changed the game mode to creative mode, spawned 2 bees and "developed" my bee farm a bit, went back to survival mode, but it didn't feel the same anymore because I "cheated"

One note about that Reddit post, remember the master developer thought the project would be funded by the Emirate of Dubai; when the funding was pulled during the financial crisis the developer was left with no way to fulfill those promises to buyers. So it wasn’t any type of scam by the developer, the project was essentially shut down by the government. As shown in the video it wasn’t the only one, as two of the palms along with several other resorts including a Tiger Woods golf course all also had the plug pulled and were abandoned. Dubai does seem to be spending again in recent years but it seems like they’ve lost interest in pumping money into the world islands or the palms, and are willing to let the market dictate what happens to the already-built portions of the palms and world islands.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

Lived in Abu Dhabi for about 2 months and visited Dubai often, Palm Jumeriah is an incredible feat on its own but when seeing it live, its like a whole another city which was already weird since it felt like the residents there didn't have to drive anywhere outside the island to get essentials. There's 2 malls that are pretty substantial while riding the metro to the end point of the island, which I had no idea, with really high end stores there. Went to eat at a resort right next to the inside part of the island and to my surprise, on the outer part of the island facing the ocean, were waves crashing but on the inside, felt like a flat lake. Idk, it was an awesome and amazing experience but weird in how different compared to the beachlines around the world. Oh and the sand on the beachfront is what really took me by surprise, artificial that felt like I was holding on to mashed potato instead of the smooth, water-like sand of the dunes right outside the city.

He is in such a bad vegetative state, that the most the public knows about Schuhmacher nowadays, is that he is able to somewhat physically respond to people being in his room. The family withdrew even further from public view after the incident with the "journalists" because they were really going above and beyond trying to find out anything about Schuhmacher. Why are people even surprised?
Don’t you know that thousands and thousands of properties were either pay up front or had large deposits put down for off plan apartments and houses, that were not only never build, but also NEVER refunded!
Reason? It’s easy. The Dubai royal family owns the biggest part of building projects the rest of the projects are owned by the Dubai government, which in turn is also controlled by the royal family.
So they simply pull the plug on the developments and keep the money.
So many international buyers are grouping together to hire lawyers, but as Arab countries do not adder to international law, people NEVER get there money back!
But anyway, why would you live in Dubai? Have you not heard about, super rich expats, losing their job, then having to pack light and run for the airport in the cover if darkness? Never seen onboard video recordings showing expat families breaking down in tears, having escaped? The super cars dumped all around the Dubai airport with keys and notes saying we had to leave?
It’s punishable with prison sentence, if you lose your job and fall back on loan repayments, even for a single payment.
The Dubai locals, are not only comfortable, with 10 Indian construction builders, practical unpaid yet also unable to go home, unliving them self every single month.
They are also travelling the world, with their Philippines house staff, underpaid, who have no access to their own passports, working 6,5 days of 12-16 hours a day, knowing that, not even entering the UK, for their holidays, means anybody helps what’s eventually slaves to escape. And when a Arab royal beats his male servant and sex slave to death at Landmark hotel, it’s covered up and the royal prince is not only shown royal immunity (no consequents) but also given asylum in the UK.
Arabs including Dubai citizens, do as they please, they seem to be above laws and human rights in every single way shape and form.
God if people didn’t know this, they must be living under a rock.

That’s why Dubai has gone from an affordable family destination to a destination only for the very rich. We are still on our way home from 2 weeks in Dubai, 2 plates of chicken pasta cost $157.00 and it was a case of spot the chicken. Truly disgraceful where it has gone. I remember holiday there in the late 1990’s upto 10 years ago and prices have gone from affordable to you need a hefty bank loan to go there.
Maybe this is what they want but what they fail to realise the middle classes are greater than the very rich.

What hurts is Schumacher likely will never visit the island as he was put into a coma after a skiing accident and to this day isn’t fully recovered. #keep fighting Michael

Western people are paying for it and endorsing this disaster all day long. Just look at the population of Dubai. Nearly 80% white from America and West-Europe. Dubai will keep destroying wildlife until they can expect rich assholes to buy the result.

Was a local around Dubai, I was always curious as to why they looked so lifeless when I browsed Google Earth. Turns out it’s a sad story of wacky finances, ethics, and inability to execute properly that was hiding behind them

Well I wasn't expecting this, but it did answer a nagging question I had in the back of my mind! I remember when this project was announced and they hyped it up to no end, back then I thought "Wow! This looks amazing!" then I heard nothing about it again until your video. Looking back on it now I'm honestly more shocked that the whole project hasn't just sunk beneath the waves.
