Excellent video as always Mr PK. You actually helped me clarify what a “mutilated” lobster is by definition by devon and seven. I had always assumed any missing part but it’s actually a mutilated tail that could disguise a v-notch. I’ve let many eating size lobsters go when missing a claw 😭
Hi Joe, great video as always! I'm doing spearfishing in France. Just be mindful that French law forbids you from using any kind of underwater light while spearfishing... I'm guessing you have quite a few European/French viewers here so it might be something to keep in mind ;) Anyway, looking forward to watching the next video, take care!
Looks like another great day, I appreciated your equipment explanation and other tips 👍. I am heading out my wee boat tomorrow and hopefully will get wetsuit on too…
Just getting into spearfishing down in Cornwall and loving these vids. Was wondering what's the best way to kill a lobster once caught? Thanks for posting
Hello from Western Australia Joe. Recently found your channel and enjoy your content, keep the vids coming. I must say that the sealife in your cold UK waters seems much more docile and less flighty than here. I am a tad envious about that tbh. Looking forward to your next upload
Many thanks for the video and useful tips Joe. I often spearfish this mark as well, so it was nice to see it. Have you got other videos where you spearfish this reef in the distance? Cheers
@@JoePkSpearfishing the rocks to the right from the entrance to the beach are very good for bass. I see lots of big mullet there as well time to time. High chance I'm going there tomorrow :)
That’s my go to foraging spot being just up the road from me. Not surprised you didn’t see Bass they usually come in later in the season. Have had a few spiders so far but need to get hold of a lobster hook to up my success rate.
Guessing the section on using the foraging gauge may have been inspired by my comment on your last video? If so, many thanks! Another great video either way!
That looked completely delicious! Didn’t expect that from the second lobster! What are the rules around that? I believe it’s illegal to land a lobster if it only has 1 claw only, but zero?
I’ll just leave the spider crab here in the rock pool… Oh dear, the spider crab is slowly walking back into the ocean, if only I had the capability to reach into the water and grab it. Mate, what was that about? 🤣😂🤣
@@JoePkSpearfishing hmm, ok. I like it! Also like it that you just left that laying around in the vid without exposition. Your like Peter Greenway in a wetsuit. Love your work, keep it up. 😎👍

Very good Mr Pike, a very low tide I tell e,

Far better than what Rick Stein did. Catching yourself and cooking it!!
Thats the way to live.
Haha thanks!

It's a stunning spot isn't it. Have you seen many lobsters there in your travels?
Have you considered visiting New Zealand? I think you would like it here. Come in summer (your winter).
Yes would love to
Fantastic video mate keep it up
Cheers!
Great video

Yes, correct! Thanks for your question
Awesome foraging 🦞🦀 nice catch and cook 👋🏻👍🏻👌🤗💯🥰😍
Thanks Joan
Have you ever come across a Blue Lobster? I have read was was found earlier this month along by Polperro.
Not yet maybe one day...
What was the fish at 7.13? I'm getting used to a new area (West Cork, Ireland) and saw one of them yesterday
Wrasse
Looks like the spider crab did not want to stay for dinner 😁
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ohit was chef! In the guidance I can't find anything about taking lobster without a claw or two!
That’s great to know thanks Captain!
How do carbon fins hold up against the reefs when lobster foraging 👍
All good, I've known plastics to get broken but carbons nowadays are incredibly hardy
What happened to the 2nd lobster? I was cheering on the crab to get away 😂 that crab deserved to live
Yes that crab was a hustler. Second lobster wasn’t so lucky 😋
I’ll just leave the spider crab here in the rock pool…

Mate, what was that about? 🤣😂🤣
I thought the crab was a legend for escaping that pool. Sorry I had to let it go...

Hi
Full respect for your vids I do the same, but why take the female with no claws surely that wasn't necessary
Thanks mate. But what was wrong with taking the female? I don't follow but I will respect your opinon 👍
no more measurements here in the PH that is why it is so abuse.
