    There is no money in retail boxes anymore. I have been a collector all my life, but when the value is gone, its hard to want to open anything. Good luck with the business and hobby.

      Value boxes make it tough to make money for sure. I've pulled some nice stuff for my PC out of value boxes but the money side is hard for sure! Appreciate the support!

    I love seeing peoples takes on the hobby. I wish you much luck. My goal since 2005 was to increase average sale yearly. I have finally eclipsed 200 per sale.

    Oh yeah my point, once thing I did early was learn that top loaders on everything gets out of hand. I’m sleeping everything that’s selling individually and putting an address label with sequential numbers on them on the back and putting them in monster boxes with a divider ever 100 numbers. Really easy to guess where the card is in that 100 and it takes very little searching to find the right card. Then I topload them when sold. Sometimes I’ll put a few cheap cards in a card saber or shipping shield as multiple top loaders gets bulky in an envelope. I’m actually accumulating top loaders this was as I’ve bought more than I’ve sold.
    Some of this will NEVER sell so I don’t want to sink a top loaders cost into each card or generate the bulk of inventory. If it’s over $20 or a thick / patch card I’ll topload it and store it in a shoebox, with a different sequential number scheme. I also have my few slabs and tall cards in there.

      @Card_Craze_Central  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like the shoe box idea for the thicker cards, I’ve been having trouble finding a place to store them! I’ll have to try the serial numbers, I bought markers for the boxes so they are separated by teams, which has made it easier but still kinda a pain to find a card, so I think the serial number should help! Thanks for the support!

    I’m in relatively the same space you’re in. Been at it since spring. I’ll eclipse my free 250 listings this month, but have about 1000 cards listed by having a few variation listings / you picks. It’s going really slow though and so far I’ve bought twice what I’ve sold and spend half of what I sold on supplies and a label printer. Everything I’m selling is the stuff I already had but don’t care about, cleaning out around my pc. I figure I’ll keep the same plan, plugging away and cleaning out the stuff I kept but don’t care about until I run out. Probably another 2-3k cards.
    Most of what I have is 1-10 dollar cards from the 90s. I figure it won’t eat anything once listed and then I’m not sure what I’m going to buy to resell. I’m kind of leaning toward vintage baseball if I can find some collections to start dabbling in.
    Subscribed. Nice to see I’m not the only new seller in the land of high rollers…😊

      Vintage is so interesting to me, it seems like the market on it is pretty stable to so you shouldn’t have to worry about the super lows of it! I appreciate the follow! It’s hard to get lost when all you see is the people making the $100,000 deals! Theres room for everybody!

    Best of luck on this journey. Your honesty is good for the hobby. I've got an ebay store where i do mainly low end but some nicer stuff. Low end is ultimately what I really enjoy. I also work full time so i try to keep a balance. If you need any help with anything please let me know. I dont know everything but i can help with stuff like supply costs/low end sales/shipping, etc. I've also subscribed. Take care

    You only have to do one product on Whatnot streams and set the quantity to 100 or whatever. Then it labels each auction with a number on the end of it, can just use post-it notes to mark each card with a number for instance.

    • @Card_Craze_Central
      @Card_Craze_Central  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That makes a lot more sense, then I wouldn’t have to pre-label everything and saves a ton of time! Thanks for the tips!!

    Great video I have been selling on eBay for a bit now and I have found that putting a few cards on a day is better than uploading 100 at one time and not listing again for a week or so. My second point is when I list a card I put my cards in Penny sleeves then when I list the card, I put it in a top loader and then in my inventory that way, the card will not get damaged as I am looking through my inventory for cards that I’ve sold nothing worse than listing a card as near meant not having it in a top loader bending the corner a little bit when you’re looking for another card and then when you sell that card, the buyer gets a little upset

      @Card_Craze_Central  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apprecaite the support! Yea listing a coup,e a day I have found is way better as well! I need to get better at taking pictures of the cards outside the toploader and then storing them in a toploader!!

    Where do you buy your cards?

    • @Card_Craze_Central
      @Card_Craze_Central  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I buy from a lot of different places. For singles I typically go to my local card shop,eBay and whatnot. For sealed products I try to buy directly from Topps/fanatics, if I can get it from them then I go to walmart or target to buy sealed. I know I wont hit anything crazy from walmart or target but right now I cant justify spending hundreds of dollars on hobby boxes! Thanks for the question, I hope this helps. Thank you!

    How much money do you have in inventory, and how much cash capital do you hold ? Do you think it’s important to have cash on hand for unique buying opportunities or would you rather hold more inventory? Does that question make sense or am I not asking well ?

    • @Card_Craze_Central
      @Card_Craze_Central  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a great question! Currently the numbers are constantly changing, I’ll try to do a video on this to go more in depth but since at a high level I try to keep a couple hundred dollars available if the right deal comes around or if I can get a crazy deal on sealed stuff! Since I’ve been buying so much my inventory is at the highest it’s ever been ~$500/$700 in cards that I’m actively trying to sell. Great question!! Thanks for the support

    The eBay algorithm rewards consistency. Set a daily listing goal and stick to it. You will see much better results. If you cannot create new listings every day, save a bunch of listings in your draft bank and just upload them daily. Good luck on your continuing journey.

    Do you buy a lot of singles or open retail boxes?

    • @Card_Craze_Central
      @Card_Craze_Central  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question! I do a lot of both, typically when a new product comes out I tend to buy a couple boxes just to see what it’s like, or for example, I’ve recently bought a lot of Topps chrome searching for mvp buy backs. For my PC I usually stick to singles, and then for inventory for whatnot or eBay I tend to buy lots of singles. I’ll touch on this more the the next business update too!
