Great video! Thanks for checking out the Gripen and the feedback on the cockpit, never realized people might loose sight of their instruments due to the dark colors.. I will look into fixing it soon!
Awesome! Thanks for making this great mod. Also if there's any way you could provide a save file to access more campaign missions with the Gripen, that would be amazing.
@@RealityRemake Hi, just wanted to let you know i just updated the mod and toned down the darkness a bit. The cockpit should now be clearer and I added some red buttons to the joysticks and throttle for improved visibility in stressful scenarios. 😁
I want a F-111 mod or maybe a hybrid aircraft in Vtol VR style (also if you didn't know most of Vtol VR's aircraft are hybrids of real life aircraft in terms of air frame and some features) because The F-111 was designed to carry up to 24 conventional as well as nuclear weapons. It could carry up to two bombs in the internal weapons bay while external ordnance included combinations of bombs, guided bombs, and missiles. The F-111 exceeded twice the speed of sound (Mach 2) by sweeping its wings rearward while in flight. The wings were swept forward for takeoffs, landings or slow speed flight. The F-111 was designed for high-speed operations from tree-top level to altitudes above 60,000 feet (18,200 meters). Wing sweep angles ranged from 16 degrees (full forward) to 72.5 degrees (full aft). Over 560 F-111 aircraft were produced in a variety of models, including the F-111A, F-111D, F-111E, and F-111F fighter-bombers; the FB-111A strategic bomber; the F-111C for the Australian Air Force; and an EF-111 electronic warfare version. The versatile "swing-wing" F-111 was officially named the "Aardvark" The FB-111A could carry weapons in an internal bomb bay or on underwing hardpoints. It could be armed with up to 37,500 pounds (17,010 kilograms) of conventional bombs; or six AGM-69A Short Range Attack Missiles (SRAM). The Aardvark could carry maximum of six nuclear weapons (B-43, B-57 or B-61)
I'm just patiently waiting for the game to be moddable enough to get Star Wars starships. The thought of being able to fly a faithfully recreated TIE fighter in this game is an absolute dream.
Hey there. The mod loader is now on steam and many mods are making their way over to the workshop, as well as some new ones. I recommend you have another look
@@notpolarb What about one of the F-111 variants or a hybrid of a F111 and something else kind of like how most of the aircraft in vtol vr is like how if you look at the F/A 26B it has F-15 wings, F/A 18 like engines rudders and Elevators, and a F-22 shaped cockpit.
@@Soheth_- do I need to download it via some moddb or is it in-game? I might give it a try because I love the viper so much. BMS doesn't work in vr performance wise. Though I didn't try getting better settings. VTOL is so awesome.
Just got into the game. I hope mods get better support and would love to see an actual F22,F18s etc. Also would be cool to see more Soviet/Chinese opfor aircraft eventually. Is there a roadmap for the game still?
So there's always a lot of speculation as to what the next aircraft DLC will be. The policy of the game's creator, so far, has been that every official aircraft should add a new gameplay element. I.E. Electronic warfare with the EF-24G. So it's really hard to speculate. This policy could change though. As for mods, I really hope to see more as well! Unfortunately many have been broken by updates over time.
@@RealityRemake ah that's fair. Probably a small dev team. The quality is really great too in my amateur and newcomer opinion to VR/lit flight sims. So I would see why they would only want to add aircraft that add to the game.
@@specrtre not just a small dev team, it's a single dude making the game. so he can't really go on churning out content that easily. i assume that's why he's been focusing on adding content in that fashion, because if you spend a bunch of time on making a new aircraft you might as well have it add some entirely new dimensions to the game.

problem is these are prob the only 3 that actually work. the f16 is bugged. the su has a interior designed by a 10 year old. i woish wed get more detail but dcs seems to be the "it" fighter sim
I do wanna mention just as a word of warning having played these (and other) mods, A lot of mods will have really, really bad optimization. If you run the game somewhat okay (But not amazingly well) in vanilla, these modded planes, especially the F4, will destroy your fps. The Gripen and Strike Wyvern (not featured here but honestly that one is the most professionally made plane mod out atm, very nice interior) don't suffer similar issues thankfully and are actually optimized really well. Also a lot of modded planes suffer from suuuper janky ergonomics (things just not working right when grabbed, or having janky hitboxes to touch them)
It's kinda a tragedy that because of how versatile and OP the F/A-26 is, there is 0 chance any of these jets (or a fictional variant) would be added/made as DLC. It would be cool to fly a interceptor centered aircraft like the fishbed or a fighter-bomber like the F4 where they're trading maneuverability for speed, but the F/A-26 can do all that without any downside. Maybe Baha can create a more low tech/cold war focused DLC, but it doesn provide a "unique experience/mechanic" so it probably won't happen. I guess that's why we have mods, but there's no campaign and you have to make custom scenario yourself.
the planes are no supposed to compete with each other, otherwise we wouldn't have the T-55. everything it does the FA-26 does better, the only difference is that it has dual seats. there is nothing stopping the next DLC to be a shitty plane but that is fun to use.
@@TheWhoamaters as soon as you use the mod loader you cannot join any non-modded lobbies anymore, only modded lobbies are shown in the multiplayer browser
