Home Health LPN returning to LTC after 12 years in the field. Thanks for your videos. They are helping me to acclimate faster. Prior to my start in home health, the EMR were just being rolled out. I completely lost what I knew and it isn't like riding a bike. Thanks again
I just passed my boards for LPN on 9/9/2021, and l just got hired at a nursing home literally a week after. Everything happened so fast. L had a 5 days orientation in where experienced nurses were with me all the time. My first day on the floor was so stressful. I barely have 1 month in and I go home so late because l stay longer to finish my charting (paper charting), but so far dealing with med pass is just so much for me.. Thank you for letting me know l am not the only one who feels this way.
It’s really hard! In the beginning there were some days i litterally almost cried. I stayed more then a hour late some days. I’d check this video out 👉th-cam.com/video/tlIttgo9kRU/w-d-xo.html because then you can understand why you feel like you do during the med passes, and i dont think its our faults. I think its the work loads.

@@Nninjarider I was just hired and my long term has 35 to 40 residents with a med tech too but I don't know how I feel about that, can I trust a med tech? Med admin is so important
Ugh, the hardest is the ac meal finger sticks especially if u 10+ individuals to check and then they need coverage before them supper trays get passed. 3pm-11pm is a tough shift in nursing
Hey how heavy is it? I should do a video on this but I do already have one about the 9 AM med pass morning shift I think you should check that out . th-cam.com/video/tlIttgo9kRU/w-d-xo.html
I just thought of something else. is all your patients on 9 AM, because I started looking at my med pass, and certain patients only had meds that were given one time a day. so I moved those patients to 10 AM so that it took like five or six patients off of my 9 AM med pass. then there was this other patient who gets 6 AM levothyroxine so she is getting her 9 AMs at 6 AM so if you could do that you it could really help you a lot so you just have to suggest it to your unit manager if your unit manager doesn’t approve it you can go to your DON
Could you please make a video for How to color code (for fun and easy) assignment ltc sheet/tracker. How to make best heavy patient assignment tracker for ltc, acute care and med pass?? Please help currently about 70-80 patients (multiple carts)

It's so stressful and I won't be staying long if the don't hire med techs

Thank you so much for these videos! So helpful 🙏🏾
Glad you like them!
I start my first nursing job tomorrow. Great video
awesome : )
just make sure u understand how the state needs the med pass to go. on the other hand realize that how they want it done is impossible.
I lovvvvvvveeeeeee toooo having my scissors with me all the time…(1 of my essential aside from black pens) lol!
exactly, I end up needing them all the time.

I can talk about color coding. Are you in LTC with 70 to 80 patients on YOUR assignment, or are you a med tech ?
