Graveyard Keeper is a graveyard-keeping management simulation game inspired by Stardew Valley and based on Harvest Moon. At the start of the game, the player becomes the recipient of a plot of land including a small graveyard once owned by his predecessor near a small town. The cemetery plot is initially overrun with boulders, trees, stumps, and weeds, and the player must work to clear them in order to restart its operation, tending to graves and even the church so as to generate revenue and bring donations to church coffers. Your ultimate goal is to get your character to open a portal back to his old world.

I have a couple hundred hours in this game, and I never once thought to take a corpse into the village with me. Even when I know you're going to take the odd approach to a game, you manage to surprise me.
Just realized how close Kevin came to being isekai'd, and considering how powerful those characters tend to become and Kevin's chaotic impulses, some world out there dodged a bullet.
Kevin was Isekai'd, that's why he forms cults so easily. That's his protagonist power.

Why is a game about slicing up dead bodies literally so cute?! It reminds me of Stardew Valley for some reason!
I mean- there's also a cult game that's absolutely adorable so- I guess people are good at making dark things wholesome, I could also see the started valley vibes it does give a similar feeling

I've been loving the longer videos lately. Normally I'd watch a few different people whenever I get home at the end of the day, now I just watch 40 minutes or so of Kevin being absolute chaos in some obscure game

So this is where Kevin buries his enemies, and even then he ruins it, epic!
Its kind of his lifes motto to always go against what he is told to do, hence why hes constantly ruining everything. In his leisure time he builds cementeries as a hobbiy, but if he is told to do it as actual work he will go out of his way to do it in the worst way possible.

I vastly underestimated this game. I assumed it was like...a little management-type game with grim themes. This is a weird RPG with a seemingly elaborate story.

Omg I'm so happy to see Kevin play Graveyard Keeper! It's one of my favorite games.
I followed the development of this game for a long time and I still remember when it released and everyone threw a fit over the lack of the town in the game, the devs just made it out like all the teasing was a joke and we were the bad guy for not laughing. It's probably the one game where I couldn't wait for the full release but then decided not to play it after it came out.
The way that Kevin is able to make the sole things into funny side jokes is amazing

If you want to stop sleeping all the time, just cook some food or pick up berries like Jerry told you. It really saves time) And start colleting blood and skulls from the beginning, you'll need a lot of them in the future
Please keep playing this, man. It gets progressively more insane, and you can start crafting all sorts of alchemy potions out of those body parts.

So, as someone who has beaten this game, all the dlc, and has been trying to do a run where I make the graveyard as good as it can be, I have tips.
First you can get a really useful teleport stone from the Dead Horse.
Second, if you get the technology to burn bodies, you can get the burial certificates and still get rid of the crappy bodies.
Third, your iron is limited right now unless you're willing to spend at the blacksmith, so you should probably use it to clear the paths to the other areas near your house.
4th, you seem to have ignored the chest in the graveyard... you should probably look into that. It might help with repairing the gravestones hint hints.
5th, the church gives more faith based on how good the interior of the church is. You get more money based on how nice the graveyard is.
6th you can make a meditation spot that allows you to pass time without needing to sleep.
Stay tuned if he makes more of these for more tips and tricks based on how much Kevin makes me cringe with a lack of knowledge of the game's mechanics.
4th - he didn't ignore the chest in the graveyard. _It's where he gets his tools._ It's also where he got the initial repair kits before he started going ham on building his own repair kits instead of going straight to building grave fences or crosses
@eris chaos except he never repaired the stone fences around the Graves. There's enough repair kits in there to get the graveyard ~0, and instead, he spent hours making more repair kits and headstones.
@@TheItzal11 He _did_ use the stone repair kits, as can be seen at 4:33 - he used two to repair the simple headstones and then two to repair one of the fences around a wooden cross (which he also repaired.) It's a blink and you miss it scene, though he did show the first one he repaired at 4:25 where he said "okay, I fixed it, now it's just neutral, it's not losing me anything."
Personally, I like to save two of each repair kit for later use in the Sacrifice Zone for Snake (stone) and for repairs around the village (wood) that are needed with the BSS dlc because I prefer to just yoink all the old broken down ones, study them, then break them down into stone and firewood. I use the two stone repair kits on the fancy stone cross and fence that only need 1 kit each.
this game gets better and better as you play it, highly recommend you keep it going! :)
16:59 Don't worry, that river doesn't flow to the village. It actually flows towards the more densely populated Town to the south where most of the NPCs are from.
I keep coming back to hear Inquisitor ASMR. I nearly piss myself laughing every time.

I watched this video and thought this game looked interesting so I got it and it's pretty fun. Kevin, I think you should do another episode going further into the game, you'll have a field day with even more of the story and whacky stuff you get up to as the keeper!

Seeing this kind of makes me want to do another run of this game. I really do enjoy it, even if it's a bit of a grind and not as good in the mid-late game without the expansions to keep you having things to do.
I played this like 3 yrs ago and the only thought running through my head every min of playing was "damn, Kevin should really play this"

I normally cant play games like this I was bored out of my mind when I played stardew valley but I have finished this one. Seems like chopping human bodies and selling the meat was a great entertainment

Hey Kevin great video. A little tip should you decide to pick the game up again: The barkeeper in the dead horse sells a teleport stone for just 2 silver. It has unlimited uses and is absolutely essential to traverse these lands in an efficient manner.

Hi Kevin!! I love this game so I'm so glad to see you playing it! If you like, I can offer a few pointers to help speed up your journey to Tactical Graveyard Genius 💀 👍
1) Buy the Teleport stone from the Dead Horse asap! It's cheap endless quick travel.
2) As fun as it is to toss bodies in a river it's not very profitable. But burning them can be entertaining AND make you money! You can unlock cremation in the tech tree, then head south of the morgue to start your wholesome kumbayas
3) Gathering faith can be a bottleneck, as you need it for many things but can only earn it once a week at sermons. It takes some doing, but crafting a combo prayer at the Desk in the church basement will help a lot! Gets you more money and faith from your followers, and improving the church /graveyard will add to this as well. They will worship you like proper cultists in no time!
And the BEST part of the game is **spoilers!**
4) You can create your own mindless, tireless, faithful taskforce, that will do anything you ask of them until the end of time! ZOMBIES! 🥳🧟🎉
Zombies can gather resources, grow plants, craft potions, and much more! (The "Random Text Generator" station for them is pretty busted as well, as it gives you endless skill points for the cost of some paper)
To get your first zombie: convince Snake to let you pass, talk to Gerry, then visit Gunther to the west of Snakes spot. He'll tell you how to start crafting your own undead army!
Sorry if this is a bit long! But this is one of my favourite games (I've sunk over 500 hours into) and you're one of my favourite youtubers! (No telling how many hours sunk here)
