- These are some funny ways to die in Super Mario 64. Yes, I know, I screwed up the numbering and skipped 3.
In this video, Mario:
1. Dies by hoisting himself up onto the edge of the castle.
2. Drowns instantly by losing all of his health to a fireball and then appearing underwater.
3. Enters Lethal Lava Land after dying from a fire burn
4. Crashes into a log and screams faster than the game can keep up with.
5. Flies around dead in Shifting Sand Land (and drowns while his head is above water.)
6. Dies on the slide and dies again after spawning in the castle foyer.
7. Shoots himself out of a cannon in Wet Dry World while dead
8. Touches freezing water faster than he is able to scream.
9. Gets crushed by moving platforms and then dies by burning his rear.
10. Touches lava faster than he can scream.
11. Double drowns
12. Loses all of his health to a boo and then drowns in Big "Booze" Haunt.
13. Loses all of his health to a boo and enters the same level while dead.
14. Dies by ground pounding on a box on a slope.
15. Loses all of his health to a bomb and then shoots himself out of a cannon.
16. Dies in the wing cap stage and then dies again after spawning in the foyer. (Cheat used)
17. Dies in "Wing Mario Over the Rainbow" and then drowns instantly after landing in the lake outside the castle. (Cheat used)
18. Drowns in WF, where this is not possible without using a glitch, then does a double death animation.
19. Shoots himself out of a cannon in THI while dead. (Cheat used)
20. Drowns in THI while his head is above the water.

It's because he pressed the camera button at the same moment of Bowser's laugh, so instead of the laugh sound, the sound played is the camera sound.

The Burn ‘N’ Drown also works in the DS version, but while falling into the pit, the player will have its death animation and when coming back into the water you’ll just simply be floating dead, without the drowning animation or sounds.

You can't, if you do the flying death glitch with the wing cap and attempt to get a star, you'll just fly right through it.

The cannon ones don't work in the DS version, you just fall dead in the cannon, and Big Boos Haunt one.

You can't go under water at womps fortress how you do that
There's a glitch in Mario 64 where you can clip through diagonal walls by releasing a solid object at a certain point or jumping into a wall joint at an angle. 3D platforming was a new thing back in 1996, so there were glitches with solid walls.

I used an emulator and cheat codes to get 120 stars. It sort of confuses the game.

@@agrady7216 Update: No, you cannot do it. I tried it multiple times. I do not know if I'm doing it wrong, but it just didn't work. Hope this helped clear up your question

what happens if you get a star after ditc? A good place to do it would be shifting sand land where you can get to the star after hitting the bird

Ryan Leiby I used the Project64 cheat code for instant 120 stars, then collected some of the secret stars, which the game didn't officially count as collected.

+zhell Trying to pull off the some of the double death tricks without cheats would be quite tedious. You'd have to get a wing cap, wait until it runs out and try to hit the edge of the platform while falling to do it without any cheats.

Drown in the Fortress double death. It starts with his drowning animation, then it goes to Mario’s normal death animation.
