    Great job Sebastian! There is nothing like having your own pickup truck :) and when you said that maybe one of us could help you wrestle the engine into position, I almost reached to the screen but then remembered about social distancing so... maybe on the next one hehe

    I’ve really enjoyed these videos. What we call in North America a “shade tree mechanic”...real people doing awesome work in the confines of their home or back yard, doing it with what you have...not a giant detached shop with tens of thousands of dollars of tools! You’ve inspired me I have three AAZ non-running motors I’ve been trying to restore and have not worked on in a few months. I like how your videos aren’t boastful or self promoting. They are for like minded people who want to become more informed. I think you have done a fantastic job and I like how, for you, there are no “problems”....only solutions. Keep up the great work.

    That was a good test drive, I felt as if I was there sitting in the passenger seat. I'm glad it started up right away.

      Glad you enjoyed it 😊. Me too! It’s always scary to start an engine after it was disassembled.

    I love that the European countries all have small vehicles. Here in the States, most are big and completely unnecessary fuel guzzlers. I have a Ford Ranger which is a relatively small truck. Not as small as your VW you have there, but I do love it. That used to be my primary vehicle, but a couple of years ago I purchased a 4-wheel drive Jeep Compass which is smaller than most SUVs we have here. It is actually smaller than my truck. I wish I was better with vehicles like yourself.

      Lenne egy kérdésem. A vízcsöveket hogy kötötted be? Elvileg a vizpumpánál le kell dugozni az egyiket, hogy legyen fűtés... Ez igaz?

    Great job
    Could you tell me type and model of engine? Looks like you didnt rebuild engine mounts, so new engine is fitted perfectly.

    • @OllarisGarage
      @OllarisGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure! It’s an AEY enginecode Vw Caddy engine. With a Golf3 TD mechanical pump. Just look for my older videos.

    Did you make your own motor mounts and oil pan? I'm installing a 1.9 Tdi in my '81 Westy.

    • @OllarisGarage
      @OllarisGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. You don’t have to if you had a diesel in it. And it also depends what TDI you put in it ( what the donor vehicle was)

    Screw is not incorrect in that application: "The main difference between a bolt and a screw is that a typical screw can work on its own and a bolt requires a nut to secure it."

    • @OllarisGarage
      @OllarisGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly! That’s why I don’t get why I always say screw!
