Welcome to the ninth month! And just when you thought your baby couldn't get any busier, more active, and more interested in everything, she does.
Into everything, too. And as much as you adore your baby explorer, you're probably wondering how you'll ever keep up with her escapades, especially as she starts to pick up steam in the locomotion department.
Watch as your baby spots a toy clear across the room. A month or two ago, he'd contemplate the toy for a moment, then completely forget he'd seen it, distracted by something bright and shiny within his reach. Now, with cognition and memory growing, his eye stays on the prize, while his mind devises a plan to retrieve it, one way or another.
He's a man on a mission. If he's mobile, he'll crawl, scoot, or slide to reach his goal. If he isn't, he'll wisely look to you for an assist, letting you know what he wants any way he can: pointing, gesturing, grunting, using facial expressions, or some other form of creative communication to engage your attention, so he can score the toy. Happily, as determined as he can be, your little one is still a relative cinch to distract, a plus if the object of his desires is something he shouldn't have.
What's that on the coffee table? Chances are good your baby will now be able to find out by pulling up. Half of all babies this month will be able to pull up from a sitting position onto two feet, making reaching things that once safely out of reach a piece of cake! Or a cup of hot coffee, or a bowl of nuts, so watch out.
Some babies will even be cruising, essentially walking while holding on to furniture, which allows them to move quickly from chair to couch to table to bookcase. To make sure your little one's not cruising for a bruising, or pulling down what he pulls up on, make sure all furniture is sturdy, well cushioned, and bracketed to the wall. Letter of the month? V for vigilance.
Also this month, your baby's a two-fisted player; she's able to hold a toy in each hand, bang them together, and of course, bring both to her mouth at the same time. She's becoming a master manipulator too, able to finesse more sophisticated small motor skills, like stacking rings, though probably not in the correct order. or fitting a smaller-sized cup into a larger one.
And speaking of small, even tiny objects, a mint, a bottle cap, a sibling's tiny Lego can't escape his reach anymore, posing an escalating choking risk. That's because the pincer grasp, the ability to coordinate thumb and index to pluck up just about anything and deliver it neatly into his mouth, has developed, or soon will.
So mom and dad beware! You'll need to do a safety sweep of any room he's in to screen for chokable items, but also cheer. This new skill puts new finger foods at his fingertips, including oat circles or yogurt puffs, small pasta shapes, smashed cooked beans and peas.
It will also mean you may be making strange news discoveries in his diaper. Since what goes in often doesn't get thoroughly chewed, it can come out pretty much unchanged, so baby's poop may be dotted with corn kernels or studded with blueberries. Here's to an adventure-filled ninth month!
My daughter reached 9 months last week. On that day she started crawling forward full speed and standing by the side of the chair. It was amazing.
My daughter did the exact same thing. Woke up the morning she turned 9 months and decided no more commando crawling and has crawled hands and knees since
Mine too
9 month old boys standing on chairs and pulling on people clothes to stand up.. May Allah bless all your children and family blessings upon blessings & health and wealth. Ameen🙏🏽🙏🏽
My little babe just turned 9 months so excited to see all the new things he do 😊
My son is 9 month and he can wavy bye bye. He can stand and almost to walk :)!!! He doesn’t roll anymore which I miss so much 😭 he can’t crawl at all yet but we’re getting there!! So bless for my beautiful son❤️
W.. 🎉the
So nice to see everybody's baby growing so good and fast! My baby started to sit at 6 months, crawling 7 months and trying to stand up at 8 months. She's now 8,5 months almost 9 months and wants to stand up all the time and doesn't want to sit down anymore hehe
Haha this is literally my son, he turns 9 months tomorrow and it’s a struggle to get him to sit now bc he always wants to stand 🤣
My baby started to stand at 6 months I was so proud and shocked
my daughter started to sit by herself, crawl, and stand up all of them at 8 months! crazy that the milestone is very quick for her 😂
Mine will be 9months on the 26th and he’s crawling, trying to stand up in his playpen and crib. He talks alll day and learned how to clap a few days ago ❤️
When she said cruising for a bruising? That made me laugh all night, not you using it in that context. This is so accurate tho
My dad used to say that to me when I was getting in his nerves 🤣
My grandson Is an expert cruising for a bruising 😂😂
My 9 month old tomorrow baby just graduated from military to actual crawling last week and is already interested in what's on the countertops/tables, refrigerators, and kitchen cabinets 😬 she'll be the middle child and is already living up to the expectations 😂
My 9 mo old just learned how to roll over and sit up on his own, thanks to PT. He was early so he's developmentally behind. I can't believe yall 9 mo old are standing, crawling and almost walking!
This was the month that my baby rolled off the bed while we both napped!! Watch them ! They literally will slip through the cracks without hesitation!!!
My baby fell at 8 months soon upset I didn't catch him in time but was literally okay
@NA Phiri Baby is fine he just had to learn a few times that’s all
yes my baby fell off at 8 months :'( she was ok though
i just got my daughter & i in an apt. sorting through her baby shower stuff, & watching her grow more and more curious is like haha but also ahhhh.sooo thats what those things were for! ..i cant remember my oldest being curious about outlets but i wouldnt doubt it. baby proofing this place is like lawd, good things those came in handy. bc my baby likes to unplug things simply just bc. i dont need her leatning how to dhove things in there either
My daughter has turned 9 months today. She has been crawling and standing without help for a few months now. She can now take about 3 to 4 steps until she wobbles and falls. I’m hoping she’ll be able to walk continuously by my husbands birthday which is in two months.
when did she start crawling? my baby started a little before she was 8 months old and within a week she was also pulling up on furniture
@jones2277 oof she just turned two years old. Not too long after this post ( maybe a week) she started full out walking 😱 it's been while since she started crawling forgive me. I never recovered from mommy brain fog 😂😂
@jones2277 I want to say around 4 or 5 months she was crawling
@@NesiasVertex wow
My little 9 mos old just started walking!
My 9 month can’t crawl yet 😭. Any tips??
@@carlywash6724 holding their tummy up and assisting has been helped our baby crawl.
Woaw very impressive
Omg can’t wait jeesh
@@carlywash6724 I'm sure you've figured it out by now but to answer your question for someone else going to say tummy time. Like A LOT of it ! When they say a lot of it,they mean it. I mean it's ok if he/she is struggling a little with some crying. My first baby would cry and I wouldn't let her for more than a minute or 2 bc it bothered me bc she was my precious baby of course. But by my second I was way too busy trying to keep chores done with the 2 of them so she had no choice but to do tummy time and she started crawling a month and a half sooner. Obviously I mean for older babies who don't have to have constant supervised tummy time anymore but this is what worked for me.
Crazy cause my son started walking at 8 months lol I’m like where did you come from lol
Oh my! My son has just turned 8months today and can stand unsupported for 3seconds
@@vieanne8488 be prepared to be chasing him around everywhere. Mines can’t be still lol
My daughter is turning 8 months she stands up and holds her weight a bit and can hold on to something and walk along it. I just cant wait for her to walk and grow teeth
My baby doesn't like tummy time but he rolls from back to tummy and says dada and bye bye and hey and yeah at 7 months at 6 months he was saying unun but he sits unsupported
Mines 9 next week. And it's true when they say kids grow up quick. He never stops all day and is army crawling across the floor. Changing his nappy at times is very frustrating!.
He's been trying to figure out crawling throughout all of month 8. Just winds up getting stick with his butt in the air. He *mastered* the downward dog, but he just can't turn that into crawling. Hoping this month brings on the improvement he's looking for. He's so frustrated :(
My 8 month old baby is rocking backwards and forwards while sitting she’s already crawling
truth is i watch these videos to know what's possibly going on with my daughter that is being kept away by her mother. I'm missing out on all this
Get yourself a lawyer
@tireboi Question is what did you do before you get yourself a lawyer ? You need to share your full story not one side. I’m also a mother currently going through the most because of baby daddy. No mother just decide to cut off the baby’s father.
@@noloyisomakedama9863 old news. shes in my life now
omg my 9 month old is full of energy😁
My baby girl is 9 months 🎠
Yeah our son doesn’t do most of these things :( it makes me worried
How is he doing?
Any update?
me and my wife super agree with this video hahaha
Omg my baby is 7 months and every time he sits up he falls and he doesn't like tummy time any tips he rolls from back to tummy
Are babys more fussy at this age?
YES!
I was wondering the same!
Seems to be 😂 🤦🏽♀️ same here
Definitely lol
My baby been fussy since birth soooo ….. 😢😢😂
Is it 9 months old or the 9th month? Cause those are two entirely different things.
My baby is 9 months, he is practically running at this point. He started walking at 8 months. We had a scare today, after he managed to climb up a flight of stairs 😅. Yeah baby proofing the house for this one is mission.
My son is 9 months and can only sit up, don’t think he will crawl anytime soon
In the same boat!
Mine too
Any update please?
My 9 month old baby is walking, with bottom teeth, picking little things on the ground
Did you give lots of tummy time, a walker or what?
Yeah

My baby girl is 9 month almost 10 and still cant crawl. How are yours now? At what age start crawling/walking ?
Update?
My 9month old baby puts everything in her mouth. Smh
My son is doing non of this😔...he is trying to move with his tummy only..not crawling not even walking
Should I worry about this....?he's turning 9 next month (June)
Mine too but am not worried at all babies are different 🥰🥰
Mine too, you aren’t alone! How are things now- 3 weeks later?
Mine can’t sit up on his own. He’s only 8.5 months but still behind in areas and advanced in others. He is on his tummy a lot and pushes his legs, scoots, rolls around, drops things off high chair, grabs for things. But still not crawling (rocking back and forth a lot), not getting to sitting position on own, and not walking yet. I feel like when he does crawl, the rest will come within the same couple weeks!! If not sooner. He’s ready, just hasn’t figured it all out
How is he now coz my daughter is 9 months old and she can't sit, crawl
I’m in the same boat! How did things go?
Can anyone update please? I'm in the same boat
My 9 month can’t crawl yet . Any tips??
@Rifle Eyez lol that is my baby now at 10 months . She can’t crawl still but she does those things you mentioned but she is already standing up for about 20 seconds at a time
@@carlywash6724 how is her development now??

Explorer that's my son following his one year old sister
My soon walks at this age
Was that an ash tray on the table lmao
Full of loose change, wrapped candy, paperclips, safety pins, and other safe items.
@@joeldavis1040 those sound like choking hazards to me
I laughed way too hard at this 🤣🤣🤣
When does the baby knows how to fully hold the bottle I’m so tired holding my daughter bottle is very time consuming...have so much to do
Hey! My baby is 8 months and will be 9 months in 9 days, he can’t hold his bottle yet too! I think the bottle being too heavy is what’s making it hard for them. But what I’ve been doing is giving him 1 ounce of apple juice and letting him try to hold it himself and he’s making progress! Try giving him small amount of juice or water and let your daughter try to feed herself. I hope this was helpful :)
@@dimplybri210 thank you so much will try to do this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
All babies are different. My little one could hold bottles around 5 months, but didn’t get “good” at it until about 7 months. He’s 9 months and great at it, but he still prefers for me to hold it so he can go to sleep
that's normal....babies are a job...one day you will miss this
If it’s not super important just feed her. You’ll miss this time.
And pulls up by him self
My baby is walking but there's no teeth
Nice
So basically I’m gonna continue to get my ass handed to me. That’s all you had to say.
What’s wrong with Heidi?
Amanda amber alien cash alianna 1
My baby is healthy and weighed she can't do that's milestones.
Every baby is different, don’t believe these “milestones” that they claim. All children grow differently and that’s ok. 💕
Talk to your pediatrician.
Haha!
Good information, though the use of personal pronouns in this video is wildly inconsistent.
Because you got the snowflakes who will complain if you use just one
Who cares? Do you personally know any of the babies?
