Please don't ever clamp a vice grip on your rotor like that. Next time just take a flat head screw driver and put it in the cooling slots in the middle of the rotor so it rests against the caliper bracket. This was you don't damage the surface of the rotor.
I'm doing this job now. How did it go when you were putting the output shaft back in the hub? I'm cleaning the splines and going to use tons of grease but I was wondering if there was a trick to get it back in once you press it out. Thanks!
did you feel a shutter or was is just noise? I have a noticeable vibration from the rear end when accelerating and turning but when at higher speeds just fine. cool video

Stephen Davis some don't have the cooling slot. mine is solid. I always have my wife hold the brake.
Great video!
Thanks for your tips

This Video is what I was looking for. Didn't want to damage anything on mine. Did you have trouble with the bearings and the hub?
I needed this vid
You didn’t say any size bolts or anything your next video you might want to mention what size tools you are using thank you for your time

I could feel it shudder.
Did you end up replacing your rear CV joint, and was that fix of the shutter?

hvorfor skriver man aldrig hvor mange kilometer bilerne har kørt.. yderst relevant for at sammenligne om det kunne være det problem man har..
Do u remember what size socket u used for the axle nut?
John Maass 32 mm for my z3
2005 x3 3.0 = 36mm 12pt socket
It is so much cheaper and easier to just buy the whole driveshaft at least in the uk.
GTFOyoubellend yep
don't do that, you scratch the rotor. Just stick a flat screw driver between the rotor.
I won't trust a guy calling a BMW differential " Pumpkin " .
