being born of water is talking about child birth not baptism ! next you fail to rightly divide the truth for Israel under the kingdom Gospel and the body of christ under the gospel of grace revealed to Paul after his conversion in acts 9 (2tim2:15 k.j.v.) Israel according to the kingdom Gospel had to be water baptized as well as be obedient as well as endure until the end , the body of Christ according to our gospel ! 1Corinthians 15:1-4 + Ephesians 2:8-9 we trust the death burial and resurrection apart from our selves and we are saved sealed until redemption day justified and imputed Christ's righteousness !
    Ephesians 1:13-14
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
no water no obedience no endurance just by believing the gospel of grace revealed to Paul apart from ourselves!!!
the kingdom gospel (matt 4:23 ) (matt 9:35) (matt 10:5-6 , matt 15:24) exclusively for Israel was preached way before Jesus even mentions the death burial and resurrection in mat 16:21-23 its a different message , we must properly divide them and keep them separate the expectations for israel under the gospel of the kingdom before atonement is not the same as the gospel revealed to Paul for the body of christ !

      Interesting.
Gentiles were baptised in Acts 10.
Jesus Himself requires baptism. James dispels any notion that faith alone is satisfactory before God.
I'm not telling you that baptism saves you. My message is that the false doctrine of not making it part of God's plan of salvation is a disservice to the Word and perhaps to those seeking salvation.
It's plain and if your pastor needs to drag you around to verses taken out of context to make that doctrine work, I would reconsider.
I've studied both sides. That's how I got here. Forget what anybody else tells you to believe and look at it for what it is.

@@appliedbible gentiles were baptized after receiving the spirit in acts 10 not before like acts 2 they were baptized and then received the spirit that tells you there was a transition taking place from water baptism first for the remission of sins to something done after and no longer for the remission of sins or to be saved or justified but in good faith towards God after your saved !! but either way it doesn't effect Wrather your saved or not ! now why anyone who trust in christ and his death burial and resurrection would refuse water baptism I don't understand but its not a requirement for salvation and to join the body of Christ ! and its not something we can use to judge who's saved and not !

This letter is from James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing to the “twelve tribes”-Jewish believers scattered abroad. Greetings!

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings.
      King James Bible
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
James is to the 12 tribes not the body of Christ which of the 12 tribes are you from??????????????????????????????

@@wolfwatchers "that tells you there was a transition taking place from water baptism..." You just made that up (or someone else did and you bought it). Again, you don't have to believe what I say.
I judge no one. If someone asks about it, I tell them the scriptures reveal plainly the attitude of urgency for the answer of a good conscience toward God.
God bound up faith with works, not me.
Just to be clear, faith is indeed what saves us, nothing I can do will save myself. I get it.

Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Mark 10:39 (n.l.t) “Oh yes,” they replied, “we are able!” Then Jesus told them, “You will indeed drink from my bitter cup and be baptized with my baptism of suffering.
We are only in mark 10 and there’s already three different baptisms, water , Christ with the holy spirt, and baptism of suffering, Just like there is more than 1 Gospel and more than 1 church in the bible , there’s also more than 1 Baptism !!!
But Paul tells us this Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, ?
In acts 2:38 the Israelites were instructed repent be water baptized receive the holy spirit , in that order 1 repent 2 baptism 3 receive holy spirit
This is how we in the body of Christ receive the holy spirit
Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
We hear the Gospel of the grace of God, we believe it, we then receive and are sealed with the holy spirit!! no water, but by trusting the gospel revealed to Paul! Then the spirit we received by belief baptizes us into the body of Christ! this is the One baptism Paul is referring to, not water, not Christ with the holy spirit but the spirit itself baptizes us into the body !!!
1Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body
