I am happy for this! Saving my life, and helping with my daughter and future. Never knew how to deal with all of this, counseling, prayers and all for years!!!!! I sincerely thank God for this. Without knowledge we perish. I needed the steps. Starting step one.

    ## What are generational curses?
    - First people tell them to us, and then we start telling them to ourselves. Now the reason this is dangerous is because we’ve made someone else’s noise into our voice.
    - Unconscious, passive. Our parents didn’t consciously transfer it to us. We picked it up.
    - They can limit our potential. It can hamper your growth.
    - It gives the future generations to become their true self.
    - You should tell yourself that “This is where it runs out.”
💡 A lot of people dream within their financial capacity. They dream only as big as the money in their bank account. Don’t be that person.
    ## How to deal with Generational curses?
    1. Recognize the trend - reflect & introspect, without judgement
    2. Identify the trigger - notice what triggers it. seeing or hearing something
    3. Make space to deal with it - Not an overnight change. Not like a habit change. It’s gonna take months, years, probably a decade.
    4. (Often missed out step) Ask for help & make others aware of your behavior. If not taken, we can risk losing our loved ones away.
    5. Be patient. Keep working on yourself, take baby steps towards changing it.

Except when your family is narcisist and if ypu tell them they use it agsinst you

Well. Step away from them and don’t subject yourself to that treatment. It’s up to you and you are choosing to be in those thoughts of your families opinions. Step out, step away and find yourself. You choosing to continue to subject yourself to that negativity, is your choice. And you’re choosing narcissism, now step up.

Goes deeper into genetic transfer of thoughts, words, actions, habits and behaviors perhaps? Flows through the genes into the beings. The subconscious is the great reservoir that seems to be timeless and ageless. This is the true meaning of fighting your own demons. Need to do so mean back somersaults to get past this? It is redemption through a higher force the only way to break the chains? Limits your whole life not just your potential. It is a supernatural power that permeates and radiates generation upon generation if you are not the one to stop it dead in its tracks by breaking the chain.

Jay Shetty. I have this attitude that holds me down and I feel its a generational curse. I observed the life of my father from the beginning to his death in 2018, I felt clearly he was battling with the same problems as a youth until old age. You made a lot of sense here. I need your help.

    1) recognize the trend - reflect and introspect without fault - don't let it get swept under the carpet
    2) notice what triggers the belief of the curse - comment about your past or visual reminder - demeaning comments from authority like teacher or parent
    3) make space to deal with it - unpack it all, process it and leave it behind
    4) ask for help and make others aware of your behavior - let them know what you're dealing with and if you behave a certain way just understand I'm dealing with this thing so let me be - otherwise we tend to push our loved ones away - you need their compassion not confusion and angst
    5) it will take time, no pressure, don't rush, it may take years to unwind this, they are deep rooted - they're good to stay aware of
