  • Note: REMOVAL OF THE PRINT HEAD IS DIFFERENT FOR EACH PRINTER!
    This is a quick, easy, and effective way to unclog your 3D Printer's extruder!
    Note: REMOVAL OF THE PRINT HEAD IS DIFFERENT FOR EACH PRINTER, however the methods used to clean the extruder can be used universally across most printers. The LCD I am using is running Marlin, which many printers do, however if your printer does not run Marlin, or you do not have an LCD, use a software that you use to set up prints, over a USB, to manually change the positions and temperatures.

    So I unclogged my extruder put it back in place and now when it starts the bed leveling it stops on the last point and won't go any further. How can I fix this problem?

    • @bushido3d61
      @bushido3d61  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rose Barrette,
      Could you provide some details regarding what software you are using for slicing, and do you also have any additional printer hardware mods such as LCD controllers?
      At this point I would just recommend that you try to re-seat your extruder, and check to see if all of your axes are level.

      I have a LCD controller that I need to connect and I am using Matter control. I will try to do everything you have given me to correct this problem and I will let you know. Thanks!!!

      Hello again, I did it!!! I connected the LCD controller and adjusted the extruder and everything is printing great!!! What do I need to do to make the controller more responsive?

    • @bushido3d61
      @bushido3d61  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! Glad that you are up and printing again!
      Regarding the responsiveness of your LCD controller I would recommend that you make sure there are no loose parts or weak connections. You might want to print a housing for your controller if you have not already done so, you can try searching the model of your LCD on thingiverse or any other file sharing platform. If you have any buttons or dials on your LCD controller, you could probably find printable additions to those components as well, allowing you to have more precise control of the LCD's interfaces. Otherwise the delays in responsiveness could just be attributed to your printer and controller's firmware.

      I used the LCD controller from another ROBO R1 +Plus that was having issues, so I'm scavenging that one for my new one. I will look up on downloading new firmware and see if this cures the problem. Thanks Bushido you have really helped me!!!

    THANK YOU. Bushido 3D... Our printer has been clogged for a few weeks and I just found this video... within the time of watching it I had the extruder removed... and it is now unclogged thanks to YOU... I could only have done this more quickly if the extruder cooled more quickly... you video is just that effective. Thank you for sharing / educating us. May God bless you for your helping us!

    Very helpful. I have the same setup and quick question. Do you know how to change the home position from the controller settings? My first calibration is off by a few cm and it's not hitting the first corner correctly causing the whole print to be shifted off of the heating bed for larger prints. imgur.com/DA6QgPK (not starting on the corner of the lines)

      @TheGastlyGuy
      I am sorry to say that I am not completely sure how to change the home position form the LCD or any other controller settings. However, I do have experience with bed leveling issues, so maybe this will help: When my printer drove into the heated bed, I first removed the top of my printer, to get access to the z or zed-axis rails/rods, then adjusted the x-axis moving each side a bit up on the z or zed-axis until it was level. The final thing that I did and would most recommend you should try (if this is slightly similar to your issues) is to make sure ALL of your endstops are in good condition (try to bend them outwards, if they have contact issues) or check to make sure all other rails and steppers are functional (for the build plate especially). I hope this might help you a little bit, and best of luck on fixing this issues.
      Thanks,
      Bushido 3D
