  • In this video I will show you the 7.2 KW Fast Charger that we can get with the Nexon EV MAX and also talk about charging the car with the regular 3.3 KW portable charger that we get with the car, talk about some of the charging questions that many of you have asked, so that you have a better idea about charging the Nexon EV or the Nexo EV MAX and you can judge if you should opt for this optional 7.2KW charger.

    Correction : Prime or MAX can charge on any KW DC chargers. However Prime has maximum charging rate of 22 KW/hr and MAX has maximum charging rate of 32 KW/hr. So even if you charge max on 50 KW charger its maximum intake won't be more than 32 KW/hr. This data was provided by Zeon charging.

    I always thought EVs are trash before. But when fuel prices rise and some minor road blockage connecting my state, i was fed up and bought Ather 450x. I was amazed till today and my thoughts towards EVs has completely changed. I plan on buying EVs for my 4 wheeler also when i have the money. I also think that for Indian EV lovers, Tata has done a really great job as many EVs which are not Tata are always so pricey!

      I believe for a Nexon EV there a warranty for the battery for 7 years. If it fails after that, a new battery will cost 7.5 lakhs.
      If the motor fails, it'll cost 4.5 lakhs.
      Ridiculous numbers.
      Taking this into account, how is an EV economical compared to an ICE?

    • @turbocharged962
      @turbocharged962 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@tanmaykelkar8444 its like thinking your ic engine fails after company warranty! Just understand that the battery that tata uses has 3000 charge cycle capacity. 300km range per charge means 3000*300=9lakh kms. The battery should last around this. And for the motor a very rare chance of failure. Even age old reva's are running good. For a person who uses a car intensively can save a lot. Driving feel of an ev is unmatchable.dont just think only about the economy. No sound ,no vibration, no gear shift delays, no gearbox problems,no jerk . Butter smooth ride.

    I would like to add that AC charger is where input at CCS 2 port is AC and DC charger is where input to CCS 2 port is DC. In AC charger onboard AC to DC convertor is used while in DC charger no conversion required. All AC charger has SMPS circuit in the charger to regulate 230 Volt AC and current capacity also to handle rated current. That's why 7.2kwh charger has large size to handle heavy current. While in DC fast charger DC convertor is it self in charging station. When we connect gun to port, BMS checks the maximum charging current getting and shows the time for charging accordingly

    40kW load in your house? I would like to know how you calculated your house's load. Please make a video on this since electricity connection and solar will become very important in the future.

    Thanks for this informative video. I had a question. Usually, when we take electricity to our home it is 3 or 4 KW from the electric board. You said, you have 40KW. Any specific reason for the same.

      It's a three phase house, even in our old house that is three phase the load sanctioned is 25 KVA. This is a far bigger property... got it doubled checked it's 50KVA allocation for this location.
      If you have 3-4 AC running continuously with other heavy appliances in summer you need at-least 15KVA allocation, most independent house, villa do get at-least 20 KVA with 3 phase connection.
