    Love all your videos. They are really helpful and intuitive. Some of the best out there, IMO. How are you painting/finishing your projects indoors as far as ventilation etc.? Thank you.

      Well, sometimes I do it outside. BUT, I usually take the 6" hose from my enclosure and cut a hole inside a large cardboard box (open facing me). Now I have an enclosed space with ventilation. When not in use I just leave it in my van. Hope that helps. Having a good/large vent fan has really come in handy.

      @@ValleyForged Ah, very creative with the box setup. A good large vent fan I do have. Thanks again for the info.

    I have made several of these from your file, the first batch was 1/8 inch (3mm) I will not make any more of those in 1/8 inch there just to fragile. I've made these out of wood and acrylic I personally like the acrylic in the shadow box I've done that also but to my surprise I must be the only one because I haven't sold the one in a shadow box and I think that's the best way. I fully concur with your assessment of applying velvet and glue major pain in the backside…. I do appreciate the links you put in the video because I needed the velvet with already applied adhesive to the back, my first shadow box I actually recessed it in foam then covered the foam with velvet and then applied the cross to it I found this to be extremely tedious and something I never want to do again so that said I purchased some of the velvet from your link and I'm just gonna simply apply the cross to the velvet without any foam. Once again another great video appreciate the information and the links.

      Yeah, 1/8 for the one with a stand is a bit fragile. 1/8" is perfect for the framed ones though. The acrylic ones look very nice!

      @@ValleyForged I made several in white acrylic, walnut acrylic and a cherry prefinished wood all of them turned out real nice

      Thanks! It really depends on your laser and settings. I haven't really tried to go smaller yet. Perhaps you can try?

      I have done that in so many videos :). But let me know more of what you mean, and perhaps I can make a special video.

    Thanks for this video and the project. I’ve made a few with stands for family and they were a big hit. I plan on making the framed version. One question, what glue do you use to attach the cross to the velvet? Thanks again for the video. Steve

    • @ValleyForged
      @ValleyForged  หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I mentioned in the video, I use the sticky velvet because glue is a pain in the arse. Spray glue will work, but I hated it. There is a link for what I use in the description.

      @@ValleyForged Thanks for the response. How do you fix the cross to the velvet so that it stays in place?

    19:54 you could make just the left side for centering.

    What glue are you using to put the cross on the felt?

      It doesn't matter too much, but if you look at the beginning of the video you can see the clear elmers glue I used this time.

    You mentioned 1/4 inch wood, what lasers did you use?

    • @ValleyForged
      @ValleyForged  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Anything 20w or above is good for 1/4". May take two passes depending on the wood. I use many, just check my channel.
