    Nice improvement to an already good jig.
    Checker plate on the Ikea stool is also a good idea!

    Very clever method of ensuring that you have the fence in the same location after flipping.

    I was first introduced to the concept of your Domino Jig from those thieving bastages over at Woodpeckers who out right stole your idea. I almost bought their version of your jig until I found out about you and I decided not to support thievery. I ended up buying the Lee Valley version of your jig who I understand gives you a royalty on all their jig sales. Well done! I like to support the inventor when I can!

      I thought the same! Can you please confirm that you do get royalties from Lee Valley! Excellent invention!!

      Hi Bruce, thanks! No plans, there is some additional info in the video description for the domino jig, if you want to build your own. It's a quite simple build and many viewers have built one without detailed plans. I'm happy to answer questions if you decide to go ahead with the build.

    Any chance you would publish the design to get this CNC routed?

    • @CarmoniusFinsnickeri
      @CarmoniusFinsnickeri  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, no such plans. Triangular piece 30cm straight sides, routed grooves should match t-tracks in the table. Location of thumb screw not critical.

  • @brianakins83
    @brianakins83 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is fantastic work. I'm attempting to locate the brass knob and bushing you used but am coming up empty. Any chance you can link to the parts used or provide their technical names (for lack of a better phrase)? I think I'm just having a brain fart. Thanks!

    • @CarmoniusFinsnickeri
      @CarmoniusFinsnickeri  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Brian, regarding the "bushing" I think the correct term is cross dowel or barrel nut, these should be quite easy to find and I buy mine in the local hardware store, M6 is used in this case and it might be you have to cut it in length to don't protrude outside the plywood surface. The brass screw is a bit trickier, I searched for knurled thumb screw brass on Aliexpress to find these (link below). But, just about any screw will do the job. If you find other, keep in mind that the diameter of the head needs to be thinner than the plywood thickness. www.aliexpress.com/item/4000127224844.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.595f4c4dJvjUOr

      Thanks! Not into making business of my jigs, more than presenting them good enough so people can build their own and slowly grow the youtube channel. I'm a cabinet maker and furniture designer and often only enjoy making 1pcs of things. Even if there could be money on making jigs and plans it's not in my interest.

    Du är oroväckande smart för att vara dansk ;) Denna ligger i pipe:n på att byggas efter frässtålet kommit, tror inte att de ska fungera sämre med nya versionen, om än den gamla var bättre imo..

    will this jig work for the 700? shims?

    • @CarmoniusFinsnickeri

      Don't have the 700 myself so can't answer that. But I think a similar concept could be used with the 700.

  • @brianwohn

    This is great! But... question, why not just have a 2nd fence and not have to flip it at all?

    • @CarmoniusFinsnickeri
      @CarmoniusFinsnickeri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! You have to mirror the fence around the center of the joint to make this work. Having a second fence you would need to make sure that is an exact mirror of the first one, so you wouldn't gain anything. It would instead mean much more work and potential error than just mirroring the fence I have.
