Your design is very well thought out; the same is true for all of your jigs. I appreciate the effort you put into your work - both the woodworking side and making the videos.
Thanks! I knew someone would ask about the router fence since I promised that to be next video...:-). I made the CAD for it and started plans and then this customer project came in the way. It will take another while before I make the new router fence, have too many customer projects in the pipe.
Kul att se en svensk video med finsnickeri! Jag byggde, som glad amatör, ett liknande skrivbord i ek förra våren och det hade varit bra att ha dina filmer att tillgå då. Tack och väldigt snyggt jobb!
Beautiful work and so much care that most will never see or appreciate, bravo. I'm sure you might prefer not to answer both parts of my question but as a craftsman who does similar work in the UK, how many hours and how much?
Thank you! I estimate around 30 hours build time, much more than that in total since I was filming it. Price I keep to myself, but I can say it was cheaper than it looks. Some decisions to pimp the table I took on my own like the grainmatched front where I wanted to try this technique with the metal bars, and the dovetailed drawer I decided the front was worth + some other things. Original order was a more basic table and customer didn't have to pay for me spicing it up a little.
@CarmoniusFinsnickeri I thought as much. I appreciate you care more about your craft than your clients do, you are lucky if you can afford to. Or are you like me, poor, in monetary terms but rich in your enjoyment of your craft?
@@Dickie2702 I do this part time, I'm mechanical engineer part time. So I can afford to only take projects I consider fun and if I get feeling to spice things up I sometimes do that to learn new things.
Thanks! My (part time) dayjob is mechanical engineer, constructing things in CAD and then building them. I run my woodworking company the remaining time.

When are you doing your new router fence video?

Great!
Thanks for sharing! This is super insightful! Did it take you just one weekend to complete?
Way more than one weekend. Especially since I filmed the build, that takes a lot of extra time.

Does "woodworker" is your "real" job ?
Thanks! My (part time) dayjob is mechanical engineer, constructing things in CAD and then building them. I run my woodworking company the remaining time.
