the pattern has a guide on how to read it. though I find that sometimes it's just a matter of tying something. maybe start with a simple pattern to practice reading patterns.
I'm making this pattern rn and I love it so far! super cute! though it is a good test of my patientce since sometimes I have to recount or start over at a certaint row or piece. I do get a big kick out of managing to create something with difficult yarn like this! hope to see you create a totoro or ponyo arigumi someday! I would love to make those
