- 7 Days With Huawei Mate 40 Pro | Like A Marriage! The Huawei Mate 40 pro has just launched globally, at the Mate 40 series live launch! In this video, I talk through my usage after 1 week, since the unboxing in a full in-depth, walkthrough review, of all the features and my impressions of the Mate 40 Pro after some real everyday use. It has a Kirin 9000 chipset, which performs brilliantly vs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ and A14 Bionic! 90hz refresh rate 6.76" OLED display, a 50MP Camera, and 4K video! It's great for gaming, like PubG, Fortnite and Call Of Duty (COD) with its powerful benchmark test scores, stereo speakers, 4400 mAh Battery capacity, offer great battery life drain, and up to 8GB Ram and 512GB of Storage! 66W Fast charging, 50w fast wireless and reverse wireless also! It has some awesome flagship features, and an ultra premium build, in either Mystic Silver or Black! It's running on Android 10, with EMUI 11 over the top, and IR blaster, but there is no headphone jack! No Google services out the box, so no play store. But you do get Huawei App Gallery and Petal Search Find Apps, which have been really interesting to use to find the apps I've needed. A possible upgrade to the rumoured Harmony OS in the future, which could improve this smartphone further, but right now, Is this the best premium phone 2020? I also check out the Huawei FreeBuds Studio headphones, which for £299, are not cheap, but they are very premium and offer great build quality, features, ANC and sound quality!

I have mate 20 pro and its a freaking beast. Amazing display, battery, camera and everything about it is soo good even after 3 years

This is the only smartphone brand in the world which rarely copy other brands , which brings something totally new with their every flagship smartphone . But it is very sad that they are being let down on purpose. Otherwise, in the next few years, they would have taken Samsung down and become the No. 1 mobile brand. Despite not having Google's service, their phones are among the most selling mobile phones of the past few years. Mate10pro was my first Huawei phone, after that experience love starts. I upgraded to the Mate20Pro and that was one of my best phones ever. After that I bought P40Pro and accept life without fuckin' Google and now I am on Mate40Pro. Kirin SoCs are real monsters. Waiting for Mate50 series.

@@israelkencapisinio4953 there is in-house mail service and you can sign in with your Google mail address. Works perfect in my case.

Rockin my mate 30 pro and love it!, The screen is amazing! Just beautiful to look at, As much as I'd prefer a screen that isn't as curved as the mate 30 pro, especially when using gesture navigation, it's still easy to use once you get used to holding the phone, prolly upgrade to the mate 40 pro plus next 2 years or so.

If Huawei successfully launched their Harmony OS, I think other Chinese phone companies will start to adapt to Harmony OS or maybe they'll offer a two versions to the market: Android version and Harmony version

They should abandon Android permanently once Harmony OS gets more stable as an ecosystem. I am sure harmony OS will succeed coz there many Chinese phone makers that will support it and people are already sick of USA and Google bullying Huawei. Huawei got so much support from the international community. I am ready to switch over to Huawei I am just waiting for Harmony OS.

Two years ago i bought a huwaei p30 pro and today the shape of this phone is absolutely amazing. It works and move exactly the same like in the first day and i have no problems at all with this smartphone. I need google services on this brand as I don t want to go back on Samsung but i would like a bigger smartphone and every two years i am changing it but this p30 pro is incredible!!!

Hey ASBYT, great video as always. Just a little nit pic: On the front cutout there is no tof sensor, the size of cutout is for the 3d face unlock, so i´m afraid that there is no choice between a smaller cutout or a bigger one, unless you want to get rid of the 3d unlock. Oh and Huawei has confirmed that all devices running imui 11 will get harmony OS, there both the Mate 40 and P40 line of devices should get it.
Yep also they have released a Roadmap for the harmony os release and it will be able to run on phones running the kirin 980 chip as well as the 990 and 9000 so any Huawei in the past 2 years will be able to get the new os

I'm using mate30 pro, best phone ever. My old iPhone xr is rubbish, i will keep using Huawei phone, if Huawei didn't die for ban
@@danielzhang4622 I'm currently using the S20 Ultra, and really pleased with it. Only thing putting me off Huawei, is lack of Google services. Plus I think Samsung really nail it with their displays - the best on any phone.
@@PeterHughes yeah. Samsung is really good at display. Huawei is good at battery life and camera. iPhone is good at iOS...... I install full Google service and Google apps by myself. It's still working. And i live in China, so Google service is not very important for me, But Huawei camera is smoking insane!

Try Microsoft Outlook and just import your Gmail account. It's basically the equivalent of having Gmail installed 🤷🏽♂️
I'm using p40 lite and its best phone you can get in this price range. Battery life and performance is unmatchable.

@usama bari agreed. I use a nova 7i which is basically the p40 lite but with extra 2 gigs of RAM and so far I have never regretted my decision

Just use a Petal Search App - it's a great feature to get most of the missing Google Apps ;-)

Can I give you some advices? Your opinions and captures of products are very nice. But for video edit, you can use more texts, graphs or animations for visualization, instead of just using macro videos of the product. MKBHD and Dave2D does it well, uses charts etc. to tell the story they try to. Visualization for specs and comparisons makes video much more appealing. Keep in mind.

VMOS is an app allows you to run an android vm with gms. I run TH-cam app on it from my Huawei phone. and you are able to play youtube video when screen locks.
I actually think the freebuds studio headphones are the more interesting thing in this video 😁 love the look and curious as to how they sound and how calls come through

Mate 30 pro vs mate 40 pro which is better???. As i did some research ultrawide is 40 megapixel on the mate 30 pro and 20 megapixel on the mate 40 pro. Still confused
I still got my Huawei Pro 20 since 2008. Still working well. Including batteries life.
I love the title and yes I'd put on the work I like customizing my phone to my liking and they came a long way and pital search is awesome
Is there any possibility the mate 40 Pro may be updated to use optical stabilisation when zoom is being used? Would love that and the Pro plus isn't out in the UK.
