I can listen to this tune every time I want to think about growing up in Detroit. It was playing on WJZZ all the time. Still very mellow…

I bought this album when if first came out decades ago. It's nice to hear it again. I haven't heard it in probably 40 years.

This is one of the finest aggregation of musicians ever. The timing is spotless. The musicality is superb.

I play a jazz bass. I have every album Charlie put out. More today than yesterday 1971 was the jam. I saw him and Joey defrancesco play in reading pa. Along with brother jack mcduff. Before they passed. Joey is the dude these days man. I mean. Man.

If Charles Earland recorded a tune, it was the bomb, no doubt! He was a Hammond B3 genius.

Hey, jazzzmandan50, thanks for uploading this gem from the 1970s. I used to listen to this in my limo cruising down Sunset Blvd. through West Los Angeles, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Hollywood feeling ever so “cool!” There are and/or were a few American musicians who truly not only knew how to capture this sound, but in some cases were the best to create the essential subtleties that an amateur musician cannot hear. Each kind of music has its technical secrets, so to speak,

and these performers certainly “delivered” in this recording.
I am enjoying it very much! I have it somewhere in my collection of CDs, cassette tapes, and LPs. But I never have time to search for it. Thanks a million!

This is one of those recordings that you'll have to search the used vinyl record stores to find.
