My roommate and dear friend from grade school thru college played this for me to check out. I never told him how much I "borrowed" it from his room to listen to it.
I never forgot this song and ill never forget him...(RIP "BIG MIKE"). We were just a pair of "project babies.

The 1970's was a time when you "discovered who you were", through your words, music and deeds. It was a 'decade of discovery'. I was privileged to be a part of it.

My brother plays this album every day starting with this song. The late 70s was a great time for jazz fusion.

It certainly was Sharon, your brother has great taste and in all honesty it's probably one of the best jazz funk albums ever cut

The late, great Charlie Earland! The Ohio Players' bassist, Marshall Jones (R.I.P.) played on this.....

Thank you Foreal1992 for posting this great lost Progressive Jazz classic from 1977. I purchased this album because of this cut. This album introduced me to the late great Charles Earland. It brings to mind fond memories of springtime, youth, & seemingly endless possibilities. This song was a staple on Howard University's WHUR 96.3FM during the Progressive Jazz Spotlight back when WHUR played great progressive jazz & mellow Soul music. Now all that remains of that once great station & era are the station call sign letters & the frequency.Where did the time & all that great music go?

I'm with you, swt32567! I've been searching youtube for years looking for this one. Bought this LP long ago, not knowing anything about it. Such a great, soulful, mystical song. "Oh PYRAMID!.....Come on, let's meditate!". So good. Thanks for posting this.

God bless Charlie Dugger for exposing me to this song. It turned my heart to the art form of Jazz and Spirituality to which I am forever grateful.

I have been looking for this album for decades. I heard the only place you might be able to find it is in a used record shop in New Orleans. THANKS
