I’ve always liked Lauren the best and Whitney! Her winged eyeliner is what I remember the most about Lauren. She was probably one of the first to make it as popular as it is today.

I just recently rewatched the first 2 seasons of LB, and I couldn't get over all the razor cuts and the burned straight hair EVERY GIRL HAD! No ones hair had any body or movement at all. I'm so glad we've all embraced more natural textures now.

I was too young for this show when it was airing (I’m 22 now) but I always envisioned my 20s to be like theirs. Partying, wild nights; cute guys, dressing up all the time, and having a close friend group with typical drama that wasn’t too serious. So far, partly due to the pandemic and partly due to personal trauma/life stuff, this has NOT been the case lmao. I have a tiny shred of hope that I’ll get to experience that at least once during my 20s but I’m not hopeful. I understand this was a reality show and I think I expected too much when I was younger but it’s still very depressing. I know life isn’t a dream but I always pictured these years to be so fun and thrilling and transformative and they’ve been such a monumental, massive let down. I have no close friends at all (mainly because of my own confidence issues) and even my 21st birthday wasn’t what I wanted it to be due to the pandemic. Sigh. I hope they cherish how much fun they had during their younger years because that is not the case for everyone.

she said it's changed because during The Hills they filmed in a lot of loud places, she had to talk super loud in the night club scenes. That's why her voice sounded so hoarse back then compared to now.

It is different, she even looks a little different to me. I guess people’s voice does change with age, so there is that. I think her eye brows are throwing me off as well.
Her voice used to be raspier and idk how to explain it but her voice just sounds older, its a little higher. She has definitely aged in my opinion. Not in a bad way but she does look different now.

I don;t understand the completely different voice- this always throws me OFF.
Lauren says it was from all the second-hand smoke in the clubs as well as hangovers
She had surgery on her vocal chords due to it being so loud in LA during filming the hills, she kept losing her voice i.e. the raspy voiced Lauren from LB and the Hills. @@madeleiner4865

Totally. I do think she was good about talking more about the makeup and hair mistakes than her own appearance. I think it’s so fun/funny to go back to high school (2007-2010 for me) and laugh at the awful fashion and beauty choices we made!! But I agree we can be too hard on ourselves!

c she actually tried that before but people were obsessed with Jersey shore and the show was DOA. I stopped watching The Hills when she was gone and she went after a life without cameras on her face. She made her money and she moved on. The classiest woman on reality TV of all times

c I’ve watched the reboot of The Hills and it’s not terrible but everyone from the original show isn’t there so it’s honestly not quite the same. I’m happy LC moved on with her life and has a great career and beautiful family!

Totally! She often had a 'I'm going to lose my voice at any minute due to laryngitis. Honestly, I think it was yelling at the clubs almost every night. Hard to talk over so much music and other people talking. Even without that, her voice had changed more than anyones.
I really do hope the 2000s makeup trends come back. I'm very over the massive amounts of contouring and huge block eyebrow look.

I know its the style now these thick eyebrows..but yes certain ppl look so much better with the 90s/2000s eyebrows. Lauren, Whitney and Sarah Michelle Gellar are a few that I couldnt work out why they looked so different. Then realised its the eyebrows. And they suit the side parting which isnt in fashion anymore.

The current trend for thick, unnaturally rectangular slanted brows makes for a harsh, almost, angry look. Brows aren't naturally squared.
