Seeee you’re like me. I’m more into the ability to accurately replicate real coasters and less into how real the guests are
Can i get an adjustable lift hill on a B&M that slows down so i don’t need a MCBR?
Can we get better and more realistic coaster noises ?
What about multi-move stations where S a train is leaving , another is entering , speeding up capacity ?( go view Raptor at cedar point to see - two trains in a block at the same time)

Two things absolutely essential for the sequel:
    1. Proper dark ride mechanics. A way to make an area dark without changing the time. Either with some light-blocking walls or being able to select a volume as "no light".
    2. Proper coaster track smoothing. A way to make povs more realistic, without manually going over each tiny section multiple times to smooth it.

I do hope they put more into their dark ride systems in the game. I'm honestly more of a dark ride type of builder than a coaster builder. I think every aspect of the game would benefit in a better DARK ride mechanics in the game, especially for indoor sections for coasters and queues.

What I'm really missing from the trailer alone is the planco 1 themes (western, fantasy, space, fairytale). I think not having those available might be a slight handicap. I guess they might come back as dlc later done the line tho. The new themes are very exciting and I can imagine creative parks spawning from them. Especially now that waterparks can be merged with coasters. I'd also love to see drop tracks and switch tracks. Other than that I have no complaints so far.

  • @ApexPredator1000
    @ApexPredator1000 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Full Dark Ride Support seems to be the biggest request through the community so I really hope that's made it into the base game.
Additionally, I've wanted Resort functionality since RCT3. Doesn't necessarily have to be through enormous maps - it'd just be cool to be able to link other parks where you share your funds & stats between as if it were one park. You could set up different hotels across them that guests will stay in and travel between the parks, and the player could navigate between them via a loading screen through a selection screen or riding transport from one park to the other like Disney's Monorails.
Outdoor shows would be cool too. Maybe combining actor staff with animatronic set pieces using the event sequencer to create the show. Could even be done in a similar manner to the marine shows in zoo tycoon where you would place an object/platform/animatronic, and the actor would interact with it using a set animation based on the sequence you've set up. Bonus points for simultaneous actions from other actors, mascots, or animatronics, as well as the set dressing around them.
Doesn't necessarily need to be in the base game though; would be cool for a DLC

  • @daniel.909

A feature I would love to see is a deeper level of physics in the water slides and other rides without a clear track like rapids, bobsled coasters, etc. Think of videos of people wiping out after a super tight turn, sliding backwards after not having enough momentum on a looping slide or having airtime pops on slides. I think this would potentially be very hard to implement, especially when you could have large parks and dozens upon dozens of slides or other rides it could very easily be very taxing to have these minute physics calculations but seeing improvements in physics object optimization and realism like in Valve's recent games and the fact that Parkitect's raft ride has these sorts of physics calculations, I think there is a possibility of this happening and adding a sense of realism and danger in building these sorts of rides. As part of this also, would love to see this extend into having more realistic ride evacuations, not just closing the ride and immediately teleporting everyone

So excited. One thing I hope to see is related to graphics - materials with great screen space (true) reflections. This was something that was in Planco 1 during the alpha and they mostly removed before release. Even the worker's metallic name badges had reflections. It made everything more convincing and less cartoonish. I know this can impact performance, but those graphics options can always be adjustable based on your system. With it being years later, I hope they really up those graphical options to make the game hold up for the future.

In the trailer it looks like the flat rides don't have these huge borders anymore. I really hope that also applies to coasters (i.e. smaller stations). And that they will be more customizable. e.g. if you want guests to enter from the left and exit to the right, you can't place an exit in the front right corner because the operator automatically gets placed there. While not being dramatic, it still often annoyed me.

Screenshot with VIVA.... my hunch is that's the shop relating to swim supplies (sunscreen, swimwear, sunglasses, etc.)
I think a smart way to project the DLCs for this round is to have a consistent expected pattern, like I would hope every theming pack also gets a themed entertainer, let alone the other expected updates and rides, and then the ride packs get more specific variations of rides (like here's the wooden coaster, but here's a plethora of wooden styles from just choosing wood coaster; or like, here's the drop track, but it's here's the stunt element tool, choose elevator lift, tilt track, drop track, gyro spinner, etc.)
I desperately hope the development of this game is really substantial. After PZ, reflecting on PC1... the bar is very high and I just don't feel like the same algorithm from PC1 in how they provide stuff is going to be acceptable for the majority of the coaster nerds community.

Honestly I am most intrigued to see what upgrades they did to their engine. Planet coaster has been released almost 10 years ago but the pre-alpha look pretty much the same as PC1. Even though there are significant upgrade (water, duh), I really do hope some visual improvements to quality, lighting and performance can be made (especially that last one). PZ looked so much better than PC1 and I hope we can expect a similar "jump" in quality (in terms of what is possible of course)

I really look forward to more teaser trailers. We need a complete rework on paths in the game! The pathing system in Planet Coaster feels so janky and can't really make realistic paths or even make your own shapes instead of being limited with 10m width. They should implement something where you can trace where the path is so you can create round and angled paths which blend in perfectly unlike Planet Coaster 1.

I'm probably still missing a setting that allows you to decide how quickly the day should go, e.g. the time times 2 so that 1 minute of real time in the game is then 2 minutes so that you can make it more realistic when the guests come and go. You can then vary how you want to stay open depending on the season in the game or something like that.

for lifeguard management, it would be great to have rescue tubes instead of cans. To give lifeguards zones, and if a lifeguard makes a jump, they expand their zones. also, the diving thing is fun, but there are other ways of entry. Backboard, AED, crashbag placement, and management would also be cool. Maybe even an onsite medical team if you really wanna get the realism. also, the guards should scan their zones in and out of rotation. idk im just super excited. I thought this would be cool. also, just a late thought, have some floaters(lifeguards in water) for lazy rivers and wave pools, it would add to realism. and lastly body slide runouts and extreme shallow pools, thank you. ^_^

Im absolutely so ready for this its unreal. I Will miss the fully fleshed out aspects of PlanCo1 due to all the DLC packs we have had over the years, and starting again in PlanCo2, with probably alot less of the coasters and flat rides, Which is understandable ofcourse, but is a little let down. But its amazing we will get the much anticipated Water park stuff. I just hope its done right. I want the "Amusement park" aspect of the game, i LOVED when soaked and wild was released for RCT3 , but i personally want it to be more of a Park simulation game with Water park aspects, rather than it focusing more on the water park side of things. Can guests go on coasters in swim wear? Will we have to have entrances to the swimming section or can it just be open and just have changing rooms placed throughout? Otherwise its just going to be 2 separate feeling parks etc Can i just build a park with no water park aspects and yet still feel like its full and not just have 7 flat rides and repeated coasters etc. Im super excited, but im also a little apprehensive and hope it isnt rushed to release just because people want it, then it feels half empty and we get dlc dlc dlc!

List of things I would want to see as a fan Planet Coaster 1 on PC:
    1. Heat maps for guest needs and staff like JWE2.
    2. Steam deck support.
    3. As mentioned in other comments, switch tracks and other advanced elements.
    4. Some sorta simplistic modeling system, allowing you to make completely custom objects without going through blender and TMTK.
    5. Larger parks (without going through scenario settings) and more terrain variation when starting a new park.
I doubt that all of these will come to fruition but let’s just hope!

Weather impact -- lightening and water parks/theme parks are not usually friends. For me having worked in IT for many years I'm fine with paying for new DLC -- it's a brand new game I don't expect all the stuff from PC1 to be in PC2 base game. There isn't a lot of time -- they have probably finalized already -- if this is going to be released on console this fall -- the lead time for console is horrid. They are probably in final QA and might even have a team working on the first DLC.

I don't want to construct them out of other pieces. I mainly build fantasy stuff. So without a spooky or fairytale style theme. I think it will just be buildings without the details I can add within my building ability. And I don't want to use workshop and use other people's stuff that can build better than me as where is the fun in that. I want cauldrons and trunks and books etc. unless we get theme makers toolkit upfront, for the first time I won't be able to easily build what I want on release. What is missing is the steam workshop. Using a company workshop could make or break the game. This is what I want to know more about cause I fear this could break my hype. Most games that do this ruin the game and ruin potential for new creators the most. They tend to push out lots of creators and favor others.

They go all-in with cross-platform compatibility between Consoles and PCs and they even release simultaneously this time. I'm a little cautious about this, because this could also mean, that in the worst case, we are limited in the amount of stuff we can build in a single park, due to console limits, just to keep compatibility between the consoles and PCs for sharing parks.
