I love these fish and keep them as one of my mainstay fish. The ones I keep outside are mostly no maintenance. They will eat their fry if they can catch them, with enough plants though, the fry can elude their parents.
I was too sleepy to get footage of the tank now but the thing is covered from the back in java moss 🤣 so my fry have plenty of spots to hide from mom and dad lol but I'm sure I've lost some just haven't noticed
How many you got in there? Like 11? I would get these guys but where I'm living it's kind of hot. I do have rice fish going with no issues, Deformed Dave is a year and half now. What do you think?
I think I got like 8 from the wetspot and now I've got well over 3 dozen 🤣 I mean if you've got ac these would be fine. I've got em in my room with the rest of em and no heater. So temp goes up and down with the room.

Very true! Kinda same with Guppies tho depending on where ya live you might just need a heater. I had endlers for a little while but they did not like my water here and sadly I never got babies out of them :( I don want to keep them again and give em a try and bread em.

Do minnows eat the eggs?
I have not noticed mine eating any. But I also feed them lots so they keep having more
@@thischannelhasnoname5401 all fish will eat fish eggs! If setup right not all will get eaten. As I learned with my gold zebra danio, I now have 200 + Fry after removing the adult.
@rimc8783 if enough food is supplied and shelter given to fry it severely cuts back on it.
@@Lefty3213a Yes that's true but I always loss some Fry to Adults as a snacks. It's Mother's Nature way.
