Some videos which recorded with ulanzi anamorphic lens didnt have blurry edge, largely due to three reasons. 1. Turned on EIS 2. The creator cropped the edges 3. Shot on Old smartphone (old camera sensor) I am not trying to stop anyone from buying it, but share my experience.
Actually I tend to like the little blur on the edges. Most smartphone cameras produces very sharp images. For a more cinematic look it is nice having them a bit more soft than with hard edges on every object. I just think the flare is too exaggerated on the Ulanzi lens, it could be a bit less.
There's now 3 Gen versions of the Ulanzi anamorphic Len's with the latest version being even better..using the lens with its phone casing dramatically removes distortion as opposed to the provided clip mount

Also, in my point of view, the ulanzi lens is totally unusable. One of the selling point of anamorphic lens is wide ratio. Howevy, the edges of ulanzi lens are too blurry.
Is this in AliExpress? Also was the Ulanzi Generation 1, 2 (silver version) or Generation 3 (instead of "Ulanzi" just says "U) as i want to avoid that one. Thanks!
hi please help me if you can, i have a sandmarc anamorphic lens but i cant edit it correctly in filmora 9 iv triend diffenct x & y setting with no real success ? am not even sure what size it should be 133.1 or more ?? i would really like to do it on pc other than in phone but if not do i buy filmic pro do do it with in phone ??

See the footages which was shot with gen3. Blurry edge is still present.

Avoid gen 1 and 2. And wait for the review of the latest Anamorphic lens version of Ulanzi
