You should definitely consider tutorial on how to set up an overhaul like this for controller support. I'm sure I'm not alone being a player that plays exclusively on controller
I am fairly sure you can just use Auto Input Switch mod, and replicate pretty much everything showcased in the video and end up playing with the controller.
@@SynMods well I already play exclusively with controller but there are many mods that require hotkeys that cannot be assigned to controller. I want to make it so once I'm in game I never have to touch the keyboard for any reason

For those of you still on SE, I strongly suggest to get Locational Damage SKSE, by felisky. You can set damage multipliers and certain effects to trigger (e.g. movement speed slow, attack speed slow, stagger) for when your hit lands on different body parts, which you can also set to apply to the player as well. It works in perfect unison with Precision and takes the experience to a whole new level. With these mods combined, when your axe lands to the face of a bandit without a helmet it means death, even on low levels, just like it should be.
@@prophetxzay8811 I'll need you to be more specific than that. There's a lot of things that could have gone wrong for you which might be different than others have reported before, so "it doesn't work" doesn't really tell me a whole lot.

A guide would be so great! I want to go back to skyrim for so long and checked out many mod lists but all of them are third person focused and i don't have the time/skill to make something clean and stable myself.
Vermintide 2 is one of my favorite indies games and still is to this date, and I play it from time the time, and yeah, this mod combo gets Skyrim close that that same gameplay, with of course some engine limitations here and there.
Precision and Dynamic Impact are making me want to start another playthrough. Also, I'm sure you get asked this a lot, but what ENB is that? I like the gritty vibe it gives the game.
I change ENBs all the time, so this is the first time I am being asked about this specific one. Video theme was a bit darker, so I thought it was appropriate. It's Bjorn ENB.

I'm that type of guy to rock mods like this to wreck havoc and destruction on my enemies and bathe the soil of Skyrim in their blood, but at the same time that type of guy to go ahead on a hunting trip, fish and live with my battle brother in a tent for like a week
Ultimate Combat is also a first person Compatible Combat alternative mod to Wildcat and I like that it introduces poise as well 🙂 also I like using "Immersive Movement" in my first person modding... it makes you walk slower but reilistic also making posotioning important in combat ( cause the npc's also move like this ) ans making timing matter more. 😊 What are your thougths on this ?
I genuinely wish I could help you. I have so many hair and eye mods that it becomes unhealthy, and there is no way I could tell which ones are used from when I made the character. My best guess would be Cosmic Eyes.

OAR offers backwards compatibility to pretty much anything DAR supported, so I found it redundant to mention. But mostly because I plan to give it an in depth coverage soon, especially because of its open source nature, which is awesome for everyone involved.

Thank you so much for this as trying to navigate through all the 9 billion mods available now is quite daunting. I think playing skyrim in third person should be illegal. One of the main reasons I still play Skyrim is precisely because there are no other action adventure games of it's caliber available to play in first person. I really can't stand how most mod reviewers are almost all in third person now. So thank you for this list!

Yes to both. Starfield is a title I am immensely excited about, while Skyrim is the best thing that happened to the modding community, and I don't see it going away any time soon. Expect content for both games as the year progresses. :)
Ultimate Dodge Mod works in first person too, has 8-directional dodging and smoother animations. The only downsides are the implementation using the sneak key and not working as well in third person with true directional movement. But if you play exclusively in first person I'd say TUDM is the superior dodge mod.
@@itdobelikedattho8112 if you just install that yeah, but there are other combat mods that keep dodging in mind, and dodging should have honestly been a feature in vallina, since if you do not have a shield the combat is just hoping you do more damage then the enemy
CFPAO is great, but I was testing it and when I got a 2H sword, my animations just got stuck =( I couldn't attack or do anything anymore, even unequipping the weapon
Years of modding skyrim, while turning it into dark souls is fun, indoor camera is annoying to confend with and it never feels like a real transformation. Thanks for the list, ive been thinking to myself that my next skyrim romp should focus on the first person experience
Amazing video! Finally some love to first person. Does TK Dodge RE have 8 directional dodge? Last I downloaded it (not the RE version as it wasn't out yet) it only supported 4 directions
I do mention that in the video, it's 4 directions, not 8. Not the greatest, but I still favor TK Dodge over TUDM or few others due to it being bound by default with sprint key and I always found it the most responsive out of all other options. Hence why I tolerate this tiny drawback.

Blade & Blunt is an excellent choice. It's basically similar to Wildcat, with its own twists and tweaks. Both options highly recommended.

I've long said that the perfect game would be an RPG with Vermintide's combat system. This looks like it gets pretty close.

We need a Dying Light 1 melee animation mod/something very similar. To me that game has the best swinging animations and hit connects.
Elder Scrolls games still being improved by modders: must be a day ending in "y"! The improved combat looks gritty and action packed, well done.

Don't understand why you play Skyrim then. The entire game was designed around the first person perspective.

No, both should work out of the box, they are completely separate and do not clash with one another.
