Great review and I have to agree with something you said about Meditations while shooting. I have done the same thing, just sit down and relax. Nice to hear someone talking sense.
It took me 2 years to finally decide to buy this rifle. My only regret is not getting it sooner. A pleasure to own and shoot. I have many springers this is by far the best.
I own 10 springers. The Prosport was my second purchase. Since then nothing has come close in terms of feel. It's the only airgun I have complete faith in to put the pellets where I'm aiming.
@@jimmynich4791 Well I've got a large number of rifles, and the most accurate is the Prosport, HW35, and Diana 56. The 97k is a little jumpy, and takes a lot of concentration on my part to get it to group well. It's accurate, but definitely more hold sensitive than my Air Arms which is probably the softest and sweetest of the lot. And that's after I kitted all of the above rifles too. All the HWs suffered from a sharp recoil and very harsh vibration from the factory. As for the triggers, well the Air Arms CD trigger is the best by far unless you count my vintage Feinwekbau 300S and LP80. The Rekord trigger is great, but you can't get it as light as the CD trigger. The Rekords all come up against a hard wall and break like glass, but I personally prefer a trigger that's a little softer, because I have a habit of jerking the trigger that I can't shake. I find it more difficult to know when the trigger will break with a Rekord. But that doesn't explain how the HW35 shoots pellet on pellet at 25M for me, but I get constant fliers with the 97. I know it isn't pellets or anything wrong with the gun, because I can feel when it's happened, I can tell it didn't like my hold. To me it's the most springer-ish springer I own.
I fell in love with the looks of this gun years ago and in lock down I had to wait for air arms to deliver to my local shop and the shop hand delivered it. ( well done tackle up in fleet) .22. Walnut stock loves JSB’s and then it was £670. Bargain and groups like a pcp at 30 meters. I love it
Fantastic video as usual Drew, it really is a lovely rifle and worth every penny. I agree you can go cheaper but will spend a bunch of time and money getting them to shoot as well as this out of the box. Cheers
@@PlanetDrewdog Oh we're rolling along well here. Been busy with all sorts of projects here and there. Will do, she's here helping me wash windows today. Haha 🤣
What a great review! I agree with every single point you've made. Weight is my only concern, but not because I think is heavy (balance is more important than the actual weight). Is more down to my back problems. Every two weeks I see my self in front of the computer about to hit the confirmation button. This video might help me take that decision at last! It's either that or going down the pcp route, with a tank or a compressor, the limited power suply if you're in the woods... Flyers are quite often caused by a defective pellet so don't be so hard on you. New suscriber.
Thank you Luis. Yes, there's no doubt that weight is a consideration with this rifle. If I were to use it for hunting I would have to fit a sling for sure. As you rightly say, pcp has many benefits for hunting, but the convenience of a self contained springer unit is clear. As for my flyers - I find JSB ammunition to be so good that I really have to admit my flyers are definitely down to me!
Love your honest review. The No BS comments have made this such an enjoyable video to watch. Looking VERY much to watching any and all of your videos. Thanks again
Fantastic video, answered every question I had without unneeded filler. Looking for a real keeper springer and I think you've helped me finalise my decision.
I have the TX 200. I know exactly what you mean. I also own the HW 97. Both are brilliant rifles, but the TX 200 has something extra, I can’t quite put my finger on. I am not sure if it is the trigger, or the shooting cycle. it just seems easier to be consistent. Hopefully, I will buy a pro sport one day. It definitely seems to be the ultimate Springer. You’re brilliant shooting, proves that point. 😊
fantastic guns , im on my second pro sport , had to sell my first walnut version to buy something daft ( washing machine/ fridge freezer) sulked over it for a few years , Then decided to buy another new walnut prosport ,,, i will be getting buried with this one ,, Great video
That is a beautiful looking rifle and I'm not familiar with the make. Love the springers. At my age they double as good exercise. I've got, and shoot regularly, a RWS Diana 48 side lever that takes 35 pounds to crank. Going to have to bite the bullet and get a sling as it's just getting too damn heavy to tote around in the squirrel woods these days.
I’ve owned a Pro Sport for a few years now and and love everything about it. I got my other half a TX200HC and yes that’s a nice rifle.., but the PS is a cut above the rest. I got mine new for, if memory serves, around £600 and it’s one of the best £600 ever spent.., beautiful to look at.., hold.., and shoot. I did have a sidewinder on top but changed that to a fixed 10x Hawke item for targets and HFT (when I can do them). Money well spent.😎
I love AA springers. So much so, I bought this in .177 and .22, and the TXHC in both calibres as well. The quality is exceptional and I would say even surpasses our Brummie made Webleys
I love this video! Thank you so much for sharing! I bought this gun two weeks ago, after deciding to get back into air rifle shooting after some years. I taught my sons gun respect, safety and how to shoot on my 1973 14th Birthday present, my much-loved .22 Diana G79 break-barrel. I wanted a new, up-to-date springer rifle and I had a decent budget because I wanted a keeper, an heirloom, to leave for my sons. I did loads of research and my final choice was the Air Arms TX 200 or the carbine version. I found a good local airgun shop and went for a look, but was captivated by the Pro Sport, an atypical impulse purchase for me and above my budget 😱 I asked the shop to order me a .22 version which arrived soon after. I collected it, started shooting with it, found it challenging and unforgiving, but still gorgeous to use. And only THEN did I come across your YT channel and this video in particular and any buyer's remorse I may have had vanished. I particularly loved your description of it as an heirloom - exactly what I had been looking for! Also, your honest observation about how this rifle forces you to shoot with more care, discipline and practice; it's been SO motivating for me - and I thank you for sharing this with us all. Should I ever run into you somewhere, please let my buy you a pint!
I like to deer hunt so being able to shoot left are right handed has its benefits in a tree stand like if you have a deer come out on you from the left of you you can shoulder your gun on the right shoulder and make a shot are if a deer comes out on you from the right you can shoulder your gun to your left shoulder and take the shot same gos for bird hunting but yes that air arms pro sport rifle is a fine gun.🤠
nice rewiew , we all like to see the good enginnering the finish for me is very important , when open , when close , the sound and the ffelling , the uk is a good manufacter at germany level or almost , my question is if you have shoot the hw 97 ? if yes , what is the sensations ? thank's 🇵🇹
Just by the look i totally understand what you mean and these are the words from an Weihrauch man. The finish from a HW is great, the finish from a TX is superb. I own five HW's and they are all as accurate as the TX but some day i will get myself one. Cheers!
Agreed. A fine engineered rifle is a fine engineered rifle regardless who made it. There are many Weihrauch rifles I'd like to own. A friend of mine has the HW97K and I enjoyed shooting it, accurate, and feels superb.
Hi Drew, Allthough I have been brought up with shotguns and springer air rifles and have as long as I can remember loved guns and shooting I have not shot an air rifle seriously for many years. I have just been given my friend's who sadly passed away, his .22 Wiehrauch HW77 so I have applied to join my nearest gun club. I only intend to shoot the rifle at paper targets in the club range. The rifle is fitted with cheap scope but obviously it must work as it has been used mainly for shooting rabbits. The rifle is very heavy and loud and I think was manufactured in the 1970s but feels like a real quality gun. Your video has inspired me to stick with this rifle and see if I can shoot well with it even though I'm 75 years young I am really looking forward to shooting again. Thanks for your no BS approach and I have subscribed so looking forward to more videos. Thanks again.
6 years ago I almost bought a new Pro Sport in walnut. Instead I ended up buying a BSA R-10 Mark 2 in walnut. Beautiful stock. Would be even better if I finished it out the way I planned. Super Accurate, Awesome trigger. Great PCP, but I found it boring to shoot. Bag it up on a bench and will dang near one hole at 30 yards. I like the time I get to think and enjoy being outside while cocking and loading a springer. I can shoot 10 shots in the time I would normally shoot 2. Then there's bringing out the tank and refilling. To be honest I wish I had bought the Pro Sport now as I rarely shoot my PCP's.
Yes indeed, and that R10 is truly excellent. I like a PCP for efficient rat control but as you say, for target work the challenge just isn't there for me. Springer is a never ending journey of improvement...👍
Good review. I had a walnut Pro Sport and in many ways, it was the best air rifle I've ever owned. It was certainly the best looking and you're right. You can sense the quality when you pick it up or even just look at it. I put a delrin guide set in it and took the power down to around 10.6 ft lb (made it sweeter to shoot and I lost no distance to speak of - just needed an extra click on the elevation at 30 yards) and it was a tack driver. However, I just couldn't bond with it. I found the reach too short and the trigger blade too skinny (I have quite long hands). It never felt quite right. I tried a friend's HW95 and it just felt like an extension of my hands. The reach was perfect and I liked the broad, flat trigger blade. After much humming and hawwing, I sold the Pro Sport and got a 95 and later a 97. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
just found you mate great channel keep them coming, mine are a remmy express .22, smk xs208, beeman single stroke pistol .22 and my sons 2250 a bit tricked out, all a bit budget but happy with them.
Thanks Justin. Yeah most of my rifles are 'budget' - Express, Express Compact, CP-2 etc. I only got a Pro Sport because my buddy was selling it used at half the new price...
I had one of these in .22 when they were first introduced and it was very accurate with Bisley Long Range Gold. When I say it was accurate I mean it. It could easily go head to head with any PCP and many times it did. I regret selling it as the newer ones are not the same in terms of shot cycle owing to a longer piston stroke. With that said no one can deny the level of fit and finish leaves nothing to be desired. These are a superbly built British made classic. Thanks for a great presentation.
I bought The TX200HC it’s in black walnut. I can’t decide if it’s best attribute is a piece of rock solid engineering. Or a thing of beauty. Or a fantastic rifle to shoot. It’s all of these things. I can just get it out just to appreciate it. Personally I love the weight it feels substantial and It’s a joy to own. And definitely worth the money. I had a pro sport for a short time before the TX200hc It was superb but i never liked the cocking lever thats the only reason I bought the HC. Plus Carbines just look better. You can’t go far wrong with ether. It’s the rifle all others are judged off.
@@PlanetDrewdog i watched your rat video last night. I was doing a bit of vermin control after hours at local refuge centre Monday night and I agree with everything. The peanut butter. The range 10/15 yards and if you can’t humanely dispatch. Don’t even take the shot. I’ve seen rats die from poison and that’s cruel. It would break my heart to see a gorgeous bird of prey die from poison. I’ve had a few rescue birds. Mainly owls but a couple of hawks only Until they where well enough to be set free. We had a Raven chick no feathers. fell out of the nest a fox was trying to get him. He was part of the family his whole life. So I get that you treat all life with respect. Just wanted to say it was the most insightful blog I’ve seen on rating. If you had been closer you could have done a review on my TX200hc. But I’m guessing your in Kent or Essex. Cheers
I've recently discovered your channel and I love it. Watched this particular video more than a few times. I own a few pcp's (FX wildcat, Dreamline, AEA assassin, walther reign) and a few springers (Diana 340 n-tec, Gamo magnum pro gen 3i, Gamo magnum replay, Gamo bull whisper, hatsan carnivore - hatsan s*cks btw but the gamo's are excellent) - all in fac/full power. But I wanted a weihrauch as everybody is talking about their excellent quality. I decided to go for the HW100KT, and I can tell you I was NOT disappointed. The rifle is a dream to shoot. Now, about the trigger. As I am familiar with the FX trigger, I may be a bit spoiled. The FX triggers are the best I've ever had. Granted, the Weihrauch triggers are great, but the FX triggers are better. On another note, as you mentioned, pcp's can get tiresome and boring, and I just happened to see all the positive reviews on the HW97K, so I bought that one too. I am not disappointed and that's an understatement. It shoots sooo good if you know how to handle it. I always use the artillery hold for a springer, I'll never let it rest on a solid bench. That being said, I more often than not shoot standing up as I'm no target man, I want to know my guns as you would shoot them 'in real life' - when you need them in hunting. Anyway, the reason I write this, is because I found your channel and this video in particular after I just got the HW100 and HW97 - which were to be my final purchases. But the way you talk about that pro sport... Damn. Thanks for your honesty, no BS attitude and love for airguns. Keep up the excellent work!
Get a good secondhand S410, easy to fettle if anything goes wrong & a lot cheaper, a hills pump & your away. id go for the carbine myself better balance & still plenty of shots per charge. The prosort is the modern day airsporter, or what it should have evolved to.
How you doing mate? Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and I’ve watched every video you’ve made. I was a kid the last time I used an air rifle but this has brought it all back! Location limits usage but I’m going to get one soon. I can travel to friends out the road to play! It’s been a while since you’ve uploaded and your other channel isn’t there. I hope everything is ok and you’re doing good man. Thanks for the awesome videos, I really get a lot from them. Peace man.
Hello Sir, Thank you for your passionate, interesting, educational review of this fantastic air rifle. I'd humbly say it was perfect and great respect to you. Well done!
@TheWeaponizedHippie You are very welcome, my friend. You reviewed a fantastic piece of kit and gave it respect it deserves. Again, Sir, in my humble, the cocking underlever of the TX200 is quite alot shorter than the underlever of the Pro Sport and I personally prefer that. However, personally, I think they're both gorgeous air rifles. Their blueing and fishscale chequering to me is knee trembling. I've never held a Pro Sport, but that said, I have a few air rifles and would rather shoot fewer well than a lot poorly, if that makes sense? So at the moment, my friend, I'm holding off buying a Pro Sport. Anchors and chains around my body, lol. Best wishes.
My air Arms ProSport like the JSB Hades in 22 calibre I had my ProSport for a Year from new I always stuck to the JSB Hades and used no other pellet but the Hades if you give the JSB Hades a try you won't regret it
Good review, ok most reviews complain about the weight so I’ll address that. I’m a self confessed under lever nut! 1. Weight, it’s a spring piston rifle with recoil so weight actually helps. If you are carrying it round the farm for 8 hours add a few more ounces and fit a sling, I’ve got the HW97kt .122, HW97k .177, HW77k green laminate.177, TX200HC mk3 .177 walnut Pro Sport .177 walnut EVERY ONE HAS A SLING! They are all about the same weight. All under lever rifles are heavy 2. The pro sport under lever, I personally don’t have any issue with it. 3. Without a doubt the Pro Sport is the best looking springer bar none.
Thanks Paul, I agree, I think the weight of the pro sport is one of it's positive features for the reason you say. I always feel I have to mention it though - some folk are put off by it it seems. Your rifle collection is impeccable by the way, every rifle spot on.
@@PlanetDrewdog Oh lastly by fitting a carry strap it also protects the underside of the stock if you do want to rest it on a fence or wall to take a shot.
Bought myself a remington sabre 177 about 2 month ago immediately hooked was debating on something like this or a hw97k after having a play with a pcp that went out the window hopefully by Christmas I should be the happy owner of an air arms s510 carbine in beech just need to save a few pennies from now to then and go get it thankfully the Mrs has given the green light so it's a win win situation can't wait.. Hope your doing well buddy need some more content brother
@TheWeaponizedHippie yeah I was toying around with loads of budget stuff spoke to a few rfds and a few people at my local range and what I was looking at most had pretty common issues but from what I've seen and heard the 510 will be the only pcp I'll ever need after that it'll be budget springers and possibly pistols after that point then hopefully a 97k or something in the next couple year if all ends up well and this pellet ban doesn't cripple the sport
Hi Drew, Thanks for your quick and informative response. Firstly after I sent my comments yesterday I quickly realized I’d I mis represented the group accuracy of my TX . Today I measured some recent groups I had shot and instead of my 1/4 , 1/8 “ that I stated , the groups were more in line with 3/8” to 1/2” and the odd 3/4 . That’s using multiple different pellets. JSB 8.44 , 4.52 heads are the most accurate in the TX. I did purchase a tin of Hades but haven’t put any down the barrel yet. I will be looking forward to giving them a try. I find your hold comparison comment between the TX and Pro Sport interesting. I am not a very good off hand shooter and try to take as much of myself out of the equation, meaning bench rest, front and back bag and use a very light hold. It seems to work pretty well with my other guns, not so well with the Pro yet. Today I tried Baracuda Match 15 and they were quite good. Ya hoo!, so me success! Hope it wasn’t a fluke. This is my first .22 . All my pellet purchases for the past 5 years have been .177 and have accumulated quite a variety which is of no help with this new gun. I’m starting from scratch but almost certain this gun will be a great shooter as it just Ozzes quality. Surprisingly the Walmart Crosman 14.3 pointed, 14.3 Hollow Points and 14.3 Piranha’s seem so far, to shoot better than the expensive stuff. I guess that’s a good thing. Would you consider you’re a Pro Sport very hold sensitive ? What part of the front stock is your hand on when you are free shooting? What scope do you have on your Pro Sport Drew? I took a Helix Elements 6x24x50 scope and mounts of my Tx to use on the Pro. Can’t quite afford to buy one for the new gun yet but I hopefully soon. I can’t afford the really high end scopes but hope eventually to purchase something that would complement the Pro. Any suggestions? Thanks Drew, Al
Hi brother I experimented for quite a while with different holds on my Pro Sport when I first got it... As you said, a very light hold on the bench was fairly successful, more of a 'supporting role' than a hold, but it just felt wrong to me due to not being able to replicate that hold offhand. So I pulled the stock into my shoulder (bench and offhand) and Eureka! It all came together. I know you'll agree that what works for one may not work for another - we all have our own distinctive biomechanics - but I was glad to find what worked for me. I almost shoot it like a .410 shotgun - regarding hold. With bench shooting I got my best results resting the fore-stock directly on the bag with no hand support, left arm crooked round and back providing vertical support under stock at shoulder. Trigger hand gently but decisively pulling stock into shoulder. No rear bag for me, I could never get consistency that way. Note: I've just realised that I should make a video on this very subject - it is not easy to describe effectively in the written word! *I do have a playlist of videos about offhand practise however: th-cam.com/play/PLdrSDREa44Go6Ys3VLVbkgtpx_xodVnRj.html Scopes: I have to admit I use a very budget friendly Hawke 'Quick Mount' 3-12 x 50 AO on my Pro Sport, and a Hawke 'Quick Mount' 3-9 x 50 AO on my PCP rifle. I can reliably use the 3-12 at 50yds. The budget Hawke scopes are simply excellent - withstanding springer recoil with no worries (certainly sub 20fpe). I really don't have the funds for high end equipment. I only have the Pro Sport because a friend sold it to me used at half price...I got lucky. Let me know how you get on Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog Hi Drew, You explained your bench technique crystal clear. Thanks . Makes sense to me. Maybe I experiment a bit I always use back bag on my other with very soft hold, let the gun do it’s own thing. I did try the Hades, boom! Pretty tight groups ! That’s a bit of a relief. The Predator GTO Lead Free 11.75 were almost unbelievably accurate. but they are so light, may be susceptible to any cross wind . I did adjust the trigger weight bull , brought it down from about 24 oz to around a consistent 14 +- oz. Big difference there. The gun is such fun to shoot. Saving up now to purchase a decent quality scope to permanently mount on the Pro. I use one Hawke Airmax 6-26x50 for several different guns. I think it’s hard on the mount screws though, always tightening and loosening them when 8 change guns. The scope you use, Hawke 3-12x50 is a great choice. Unfortunately my eyes just can’t see much at 50 yds even on 12 power. Thanks for all you great tips Drew, Al
@@joebergin8113 I'm glad the Hades worked out! Yes, my trigger is super light also. I find unnecessary trigger weight makes me pull my shots due to hand tension.
I have had my ProSport for nearly 20 years.. Fabulous rifle, yes it's heavy, but it oozes quality and oh my its still the finest looker of all Enjoyed both parts of your review 👍
Hi love the channel keep it up 👍🏻 they are great guns for a springer 👍🏻what’s the gun on the wall below the red Ryder are you doing to do a video on that looks awesome thanks and keep it up 😎👍🏻
Hi, great video thanks. I've now decided that I will get one, your review was a tipping point. Just one question, someone somewhere said that they almost spoilt the stock by using it as it came out of the box and the wood marked when it got wet. Did you treat your stock with anything before you used it? If so, what, and how did you do it? Thanks again, love your videos
Hi Jan, good choice I'd say. As for stock finish - I can't give a reply on that with any authority because I bought my Pro Sport as a pre-owned rifle. I'm surprised to hear that anyone had a problem in that regard because Minelli stocks are usually finished to the highest standard. On other bare stocks I use Danish Oil - although I don't know anyone else that does so... Maybe ask the gun supplier for advice on this, I'm sure they'd be happy to advise. Sorry I can't be of more help my friend.
@@PlanetDrewdog hi, thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes I should have realised from your talk that having bought it second hand it would not have been an issue for you. I'll ask the shop, sure it's not a big issue. Thanks again
I got the call and I went to pick up my new Pro Sport yesterday and it’s absolutely stunning and the pattern in the walnut is outstanding. By the time I got home with it and got a scope popped on I managed to get a few shots let off and I couldn’t believe just how smooth it shoots and the trigger is the best I’ve ever used and that’s saying something as I’ve always shot Weihrauch’s and have quite a few of them but this trigger unit is in my opinion is top notch. I only got it part zeroed as I was pushed for time but at about 35 yards I was hitting a bean can no problem at all but if I get time later today and weather permitting I’ll tweak everything up and get the groups nice and tight and a proper zero. But I’m so glad I’ve finally got what I call the pinnacle springer, I may be eating bread and water for the foreseeable future because these as you know aren’t cheap by any means but what a rifle and this one like yours will be with me for the rest of my days too.
Excellent! Yeah even though I really tried my best to describe the experience with this rifle in the video - it's near impossible to do so. It's only when people actually use one that it all becomes clear just how good they really are. Enjoy!
It's only worth the price if you are into springers. I really wanted a nice springer a couple of years ago but couldn't afford it and got an SMK cp2 - i haven't looked back, with only an additional hammer spring and a decent silencer it's lighter quieter and for me a fair bit more accurate than any springer. And of course it's a massive bargain compared to springer prices.
I bought one recently in .22 it was very pellet fussy I ended up with the air arms deabolo field 16grns none of the others would group now it's very accurate I cant fault it.
Weird, my .177 Prosport (fac power as I'm in New Zealand) is great least pellet fussy of any gun I own. It also doesn't give much variation in muzzle energy between pellets. Every barrel is different.
Hi, Really enjoyed your presentation, very informative , thank you. I recently purchased a beautiful like new Pro Sport.Previous owner put about 200 rounds through it , Unfortunately he had health issues and gun had to go. I think the gun Is of extremely high quality and remarkably smooth shooting. It is a piece of art. Bit a bit of a concern ; The gun so far has not come close to the accuracy you are getting from your gun. I have tested 11 different quality pellets but at 30 yards , from a bench, front and back bag, can’t seem to find the right pellet for the barrel ? Maybe I’m expecting to much from an almost new gun ? I cleaned the barrel using a patch worm. It wasn’t very dirty . I can’t help comparing it to my other 4 springers which all have Vortek tune kits installed. They include my TX 200, 20,000 rounds through that and basically at 30 yards, shoots 1/4 -1/8 “ holes with multiple pellets , a HW97, Beeman R9 , and a Diana 54 that are similarly unbelievably accurate. I don’t see the point of putting a Vortek drop in kit in this gun as it’s just a joy to shoot as it is. Perhaps it needs more rounds down the pipe? It doesn’t shoot loose fitting pellets very well. I’ve tried AA diabolos 18 gr and JSB, 14,3 but groups are not overly exciting. The best was with AA Field diabolos 16 gr , about 1” group. I guess I’ll just have to keep purchasing different pallets and experimenting and hoping I come across something that the bill really likes but it’s getting quite expensive. Would you have any specific pellet suggestions that I should try? Thanks again , Al
Hi there. Firstly, thank you. It surprises me that the barrel doesn't like the pellets you've been using, I can only relate my own experience really: I found JSB diabolos (any weight) to be 80 to 90% accurate, RWS Superfield and superdomes were around 80% accurate - but JSB Hades 95%+ accurate. All barrels are different so my results will differ from yours I guess, unfortunately. Have you tried Hades yet? If not, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I also found that when I dumped my bench rest shooting and concentrated on improving 'kneeling supported' offhand shooting - perversely my accuracy improved with this particular rifle. This tells me that I hadn't got my bench rest hold right for the rifle. Obviously this is just me but I found it interesting - and counter-intuitive! I also found that - for me - a TX200 required a different hold to a Pro Sport, strangely. But as I say, that's just for me personally, and many would disagree I'm sure. Let me know your experience with Hades if you wouldn't mind. Thank you. Drew
I bought my walnut .22 Pro Sport new about 8 years ago. After getting older and weaker, I decided to put a Vortek PG4 12 ft lb kit in it so that it would be easier to cock. With 15.89 JSB`s, it is getting 625 fps, which is more than enough for my squirrel hunting. I was lucky enough to get one of the spectacular walnut stocks and I`ve been using BLO on it maybe once a year. After maybe 300 shots, the Vortek kit got seated in and is producing one hole groups at the 15 yards that I shoot. My wife appreciates the fact that after the kit, the rifle got quieter also. If considering this rifle, one thing to consider is the fact that they are extremely simple to take apart and service. One other pellet that also will shoot one hole groups out of mine is the AA 18 grain. I don`t exactly know why, but the AA`s will outperform the same JSB pellet...go figure. They shoot 575 fps. For a scope, mine has one of the older Leupold 3-9x33 EFR`s which I leave on 6 power. I know this is a lot of money, but if you choose one of these rifles be sure to shoot it enough to fully break it in, and learn how to hold it. Don`t grab and squeeze it, hold it like you would your first baby. If you do that I guaranty that it will stay with you for years and years.
Thanks David. I'm always interested in different upgrades, gathering info for when I decide to rebuild my Pro Sport. Also interesting what you said about the AA pellets. I've found them more consistent than JSB - when obviously there should be no difference! I wonder if the AA pellets go through closer quality control..?
Wow wow wow, what a great channel!! Your video skills are on another level! New sub.... Looking forward to seeing more of your great content! Best regards from Barcelona, Anton
After watching your video, I purchased an air arms pro sport from Pyramid Air, awesome shooting gun, everything in your video that you pointed out is true thank you for the insight for making my decision easy for me, keep up the great videos Aloha 🤙🏽😊
Its the exact same rifle it was 3 years ago except the price has increased £300 more. I saw them priced at around £650 in 2021 now they cost £940 in walnut. Not worth the price neither is the tx200. £760 when it cost £525 2021. For the same rifle no changes to it.
Hi drew just watched your review of the fantastic air arms prosport you mentioned about it been hold sensitive this is mainly down to air arms increasing the stroke from 82mm on the mk1 and mk2 tx200s to 98mm on the mk3 tx200 and prosport I own a mk2 tx200 and a mk3 tx200 and the difference in hold sensitivity and shot cycle I:e lock time on the mk2 over the mk3 is night and day the mk2 shoots more like my hw97 the mk3 is still a fab gun but the mk2 having the shorter stroke shoot better Regards phill
Thanks Philip, extremely good comment and useful. My rifle is overdue for a service and I'm researching a kit to improve the action to more suit my purpose at the moment. Also what you say about the Mk2 and Mk3 TX is interesting as I just know that I'm going to end up with one at some point. Ideally I'd like to try all the variations of the TX200 and see which one sings for me. All the best Drew
Yeah AA make a rifle worth having for sure. The lever lasts a very long time really and like every part of the rifle, is easily replaced when it requires it. 😎
Air Arms needs to get this man an S410! Also, same hair and makeup here, but from a different company here in the US. They could never get my eyes quite right. Or it could have been from TIGging aluminum with a #8-9 shade for years...🤔
of still got my first TX 200 from when I was 9 33 now and it's still groups well shop pigeons and rabbits at 100 yards with it air Arms to make the best rifles HW 97 rough from factory and you have to have them tuned gun shop I use does a 6 month light in list for them just got rid of all my pcps can I get myself a nice Springer don't Hunt as much these days
Oh man that's a toughie. If I had to choose... I think I'd go TX200HC to be honest. I only say that because I know many folk who own both TX and ProSport - and the TX is the one they usually reach for.
Nice vid.honest communication.have 15 great air rifles sharps ,Sheridan,hw,dia,,and this is the best springer you can buy along with the tx 200 ....today. But if you want accuracy ,not 1 inch, but hole in hole ,my kids shoot flys at 25 m with the old school fwb 300s open sights....and the nay sayesers, might say it’s low powered.yes your right ,but if you can shoot the bulls eye.... Like I said great observations of this rifle,as there is everything out there giving it’s positive, but nothing on its probs,I would have one tomorrow if they had open sights, just can’t use it for hunting here,as fog and ground temp changes means scopes just don’t work.. Thanks again for your input. Regards,Ben.
I was lucky enough to find a used walnut stocked pro sport which I got for.....wait for it, £525, so you can find a bargain but snap it up quick as something this special doesn’t come along every day.
Yes indeed - I paid £450 with scope for this one (it had a few small dings). I'd always rather buy used than new - especially with premium rifles, they've generally been looked after.
My wife gave me an ultimatum ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, "It's either me or your Prosport" ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I do miss my wife a little, but not while I'm shooting my Prosport!!!
I bought a second hand Prosport 4 years ago for £350. It wasnt shooting well , so I stripped it. The spring was like a banana , so I fitted a new spring , seals and guides . For £400 I have a class rifle. I also own a S400 , I prefer the PS.
@@PlanetDrewdog My Grandson has got into shooting , Have given him my S400 and bought myself a Daystate Huntsman revere , shot the Daystate and Prosport at the range on wednesday , its fun , but shooting the PS is an experience
I have a TX 200 I have owned this TX 200 since the early 2000s I got into high quality imported British adult air rifles about 1997 if you can remember it I got a pro elite I was aware of the pro sport At some point air arms decided to stop making the pro sport not long after decided to stop making the pro elite They have baffling inside a barrel shroud and that seems to be able to stabilize the flight of the pallet out of maybe a seven or 8 inch barrel and they keep down the added puff of air that comes out with a spring piston compression so of such a short barrel if I’m not mistaken the short barrel allows for a shorter dwelltime in between the deceleration of the piston and the exiting of the pallet from the crown of the barrel which is very deep inside the shroud I found both the pro elite and pro sport to be very ungainly to hold the TX 200 I find a lot easier to balance is the only springer gun I own after that I’ve been to precharge and CO2 air guns I own a theoben rapid 12 that was made in the UK before the oven owner decide to relocate to Tennessee and make them in lower numbers this pre-charged to is very ungainly to Carrie And hold I have a Air Force talon from over 10 years ago I can carry the talon and hold it off hand a lot more comfortably for longer periods of time not only to mention that I can change the tank between CO2 and compressed air not only that the God has made out of metal which doesn’t scratch up a fine piece of walnut
Thanks Michael, great comment. Yeah the TX is a fine piece indeed, in fact the TX200HC was what I was looking to buy but when I heard my friend was selling his ProSport I went with it. My interests lay more with older British rifles now, I'm interested in old Theobens, Air Arms, Webley, BSA etc. Drew
My close friend who got me into adult airguns initially got a TX 200 and was very unhappy with it he wound up going to the HW 97 And all the other HW Products He found a German made air guns that are supported and more available than the Airarms products I still like my TX 200
Walking down memory lane this is what I remember about the TX 200 and what motivated air arms to develop a TX 200 The hW77 Is an under lever spring gun that requires a spring compressor to change the spring the TX 200 design allows changing the spring without a spring compressor When I bought this TX 200 this feature meant nothing to me because I was not going to change the spring but as time went on especially with the air gun group web chatter of the late 1990s it became a big deal especially with product sold by Jim Maccari And Paul Watts and the like they became rather cult figures in the air gun hobby industry Jim would reminisce about airgun head quarters And would fancy himself The inheritor of this note ability
Who remembers Tom Gaylord and his wife the late Edith Gaylord? And a discussion group list server called the yellow forum air gun? I was very active on this form from about 1997 until about 2004
Great video my friend I been looking to buy a TX200HC myself. Can you give me your honest opinion on why you would rather have the Pro Sport or do you suggest there both good guns.
In honesty, I could not recommend one over the other because I haven't yet worked with a TX200HC - although I really do want one! TX is lighter, and some folks who own both rate the TX as the better rifle whilst other say the Pro Sport is. Sorry I've been absolutely no help at all 😂 but I'd say best thing is to handle both rifles and see which one 'speaks' to you. They're both beautiful.
@@PlanetDrewdog you were helpful thank you and I really did enjoy your video. I am 56 year old man that loves shooting airguns very much I own 2 Edgun PCPs and love the accuracy but wanted to eventually get a quality Springer either the Pro sport or HW97KT or the TX200HC. Iknow there all great from all the talk on them. But in all honesty when I can get the money together down the road I think im gonna go with the TX200HC.
For me it was the sleek lines of the Pro Sport and the hidden cocking lever that tipped the balance over the tx200 which has the double barrel appearance.
Everything is subjective but I don't think you could buy one of the cheap underlevers and make it in the same league as the Pro Sport, Tx200, Weihrauch 97K & 77, LGU no matter what you do. I read some comments about some cheaper springers being awesome but I think they really mean awesome for their price point.
Yeah I know what you mean. I have a cheap Remington springer which I really rate quite highly in handling, power consistency and accuracy - but a Pro Sport it will never be. It is - as you say - awesome for the price.
Just been watching your pro sport videos and I am at that point in my life now after shooting airguns for 45 years and always been a Weihrauch man for which I now have a few including the hw97 blue laminate in 22 which is an awesome rifle along with two 95k’s in 22 and 177 and my little grabber the 99s in 22. I do have a few pcp’s which are my main ratting guns and I will take a springer usually one of the 95’s when I’ve got on top of the infestation as to keep my eye in on using a springer as it’s always nice to go back to my roots using a springer. So I’ve decided to get a pro sport in as it’s the pinnacle of all springers and will be my last springer I’ll buy and one to be a proud owner of. But I’m a leftie and like always us lefties have to pay extra for the privilege and to me that’s wrong especially for what your forking out on the rifle so I hope that the woodwork will be top notch and some beautiful grain within it as I’m a stickler for an attractive grained stock and if it’s not to my liking I’ll be refusing to part with my hard earned cash, but that’s just me I maybe a fusspot but it’s just got to be right, 110% right. I have told them at the gun shop and they know me only to well by now as I’ve dealt with them for years and they always have sourced just what I’ve requested. So I’m just waiting now for the phone call to say it’s arrived and I can’t wait, I’ve opted to go for 177 as I’m really liking that calibre now after shooting 22 for most of my years of shooting and using the right pellet a 177 can have devastating effect with a well placed clinical shot.
I hope you like it as much as I like mine - it really is something very special, even in a world of great air rifles. I think a good springer will always have its place in any shooters collection.
From what I know it's the only break barrel aa ever mass produced..not that there's many of them still about ...a friend of mine was lucky enough to acquire 1 recently an I really like it
I can't give an opinion on that I'm afraid - I've never owned or used one - but I'd say that if it's got Weihrauch written on it then it's likely to be great. Sorry I can't help on this one. Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog haha Iv been in the company of some of the best air rifle shooters to have ever lived in the heat of competition and none of there talent rubbed off on me .
Anywhere but the US, powder burners and almost anything associated with them are the devils tools. The lefties and their safety issues are taking over the world.
@@PlanetDrewdog I made some enquiries once (admittedly some years ago) and even that was not an option. I would happily have a walnut stock if that meant I could have a Pro-Sport!
I'm not at all surprised to hear how good the engineering is, after all, Air Arms COPIED the Venom Mach 2 rifle! The Pro Sport was built using Venom engineering plans that an employee from a particular engineering firm in the UK STOLE, and handed to Air Arms. Ivan Hancock from Venom was in the early stages of taking legal action against AA, when the Dunblane massacre occurred. He decided that the sport of shooting in the UK had enough negative PR, so he dropped his case. The bloke who STOLE the Venom plans was sacked from the engineering company for breaching client confidentiality. The Pro-Sport is essentially a mass produced copy of the ultra-rare, handbuilt Venom Mach 2 rifle. I've recently been told that Ivan Hancock attended the AA stand at the NEC shooting fair event back in the 90's. AA had a Pro-Sport on display, when Ivan approached the stand, he told the AA staff, "I've come to see MY rifle!" AA very quickly removed the Pro Sport from display, and it didn't return for the remainder of the show. I have photographs of the Venom Mach 2, and the Pro-Sport is obviously a copy. AA even replicated the use of delrin bearings- which Venom pioneered.
Ken Turner first produced a stainless steel concealed underlever airrifle which he unveiled in 1982 at Basingstoke ARPC open competition to which the later AirArms ProSport is based and not at all a copy of the Venom Mach2 project. Incidently Ken a precision engineer by trade had a direct input in the Mach2 development by use of his machining talents.
HW97 is not at all like a Prosport. Out of the box it's a harsh buzzing nightmare to shoot. I can't speak on the Walthers but they are discontinued and hard to find. Air Arms make the best springer. There's no contest.
One of the best air rifle reviews I've see. to the point and doesn't drivel on. Short sweet and to the point 👍🇬🇧.
Great review and I have to agree with something you said about Meditations while shooting. I have done the same thing, just sit down and relax. Nice to hear someone talking sense.
Thank you Iwan.
It took me 2 years to finally decide to buy this rifle. My only regret is not getting it sooner. A pleasure to own and shoot. I have many springers this is by far the best.
Uhjj Ytg NJi - it is a fine rifle for sure.
I seriously could listen to this guy talk about the consistency of paint while watching it dry. Absolutely love his manner!
You're very kind, thank you.
@@PlanetDrewdog You're welcome sir.
I own 10 springers. The Prosport was my second purchase. Since then nothing has come close in terms of feel. It's the only airgun I have complete faith in to put the pellets where I'm aiming.
Pro Sport really is a special rifle to own and use.
How about weihrauch HW77?
@@passionate_shooter I have a 97k. Very nice, much harder to shoot.
@@Patrick-857 I got a mk1 HW97K with the 25mm piston, shoots sweet, wouldn't say hard to shoot at all.
I love it
Airgunhunter 1966 - yep, it's a lovely piece.
You did get a bargain. I’ve just ordered one and the rifle alone (in walnut stock) has set me back £890!
Fantastic video as usual Drew, it really is a lovely rifle and worth every penny. I agree you can go cheaper but will spend a bunch of time and money getting them to shoot as well as this out of the box. Cheers
Thank you Dana. Hope life is treating you good over there - and give Marley a cookie from me 😀
@@PlanetDrewdog Oh we're rolling along well here.
It feels like a treat every time you pick up this rifle. The quality and accuracy is sublime.
Just started watching your vlogs, Informative and well put together, well worth another subscriber.
Love your honest review. The No BS comments have made this such an enjoyable video to watch. Looking VERY much to watching any and all of your videos. Thanks again
Thank you Ken, much appreciated.
Fantastic video, answered every question I had without unneeded filler.
Looking for a real keeper springer and I think you've helped me finalise my decision.
Thank you brother. It will not disappoint.
Thanks Steve. I'm not sure the ProSport would add that much for you though to be honest - you already have excellent rifles!
Drew
fantastic guns , im on my second pro sport , had to sell my first walnut version to buy something daft ( washing machine/ fridge freezer) sulked over it for a few years , Then decided to buy another new walnut prosport ,,, i will be getting buried with this one ,, Great video
Thank you, good to hear. They really are a lovely rifle both to own and shoot.
Yep - I wouldn't like to hike for too long with this without a sling.
Yep, with Air Arms you get what you pay for.
never had a prosport but enjoyed a lot of others including Hw97 ,80 and Dianas. Would love a AA prosport ! Brilliant segment.
Thank you Nils.
Beautiful, well engineered guns really give you that special feeling. I hope to own one one day.
I suggest buying a used one really. I got mine for £450 with a Hawke scope.
@@PlanetDrewdog agree
I love AA springers. So much so, I bought this in .177 and .22, and the TXHC in both calibres as well. The quality is exceptional and I would say even surpasses our Brummie made Webleys
Very nice! Yeah the quality really is on another level.

Thank you, and that's so good to hear. The Pro Sport is so much more than just another rifle.
Thank you kindly Chris - much appreciated. That HW77 is a lovely rifle and should give you years of shooting pleasure my friend.
Hi there, I'm your 100th subscriber :) Love your videos and zen style, keep going
Thank you my friend!
Exactly how I feel about pcps, great tools but wouldn't ever love shooting one like I do springers.
Great video I have the tx200 hc mk3 and just yesterday I got a prosport for 250 walnut absolute 💯 stunning
That's really good to hear! Brother that's a great deal too.
HW97 is a beautiful rifle.
That was really interesting , air arms are a total unknown for me , thanks .
just found you mate great channel keep them coming, mine are a remmy express .22, smk xs208, beeman single stroke pistol .22 and my sons 2250 a bit tricked out, all a bit budget but happy with them.
Thanks Darren. Yes indeed, they are very nicely made. I am certainly satisfied with mine.
Drew
That TX sounds gorgeous Dave. I will get one when I'm back on my feet financially.

i watched your rat video last night.
The prosort is the modern day airsporter, or what it should have evolved to.
junglie - yep the S410 is on my shopping list for this winters ratting. It's a sweet tried and proven platform for sure.
Peace man.

My air Arms ProSport like the JSB Hades in 22 calibre I had my ProSport for a Year from new I always stuck to the JSB Hades and used no other pellet but the Hades if you give the JSB Hades a try you won't regret it
100% agreed Paul. Hades actually fly beautifully in every rifle I own, and I have changed over to Hades in the ProSport.
Also use the Hades in my Pro Sport .22 🤠
Had my Prosport for many years, very reliable and still an absolute pleasure to use. Accurate AF. Worth every penny
Shoots exactly the same..?
Good review, ok most reviews complain about the weight so I’ll address that. I’m a self confessed under lever nut!
1. Weight, it’s a spring piston rifle with recoil so weight actually helps. If you are carrying it round the farm for 8 hours add a few more ounces and fit a sling, I’ve got the HW97kt .122, HW97k .177, HW77k green laminate.177, TX200HC mk3 .177 walnut
Pro Sport .177 walnut
EVERY ONE HAS A SLING! They are all about the same weight. All under lever rifles are heavy
Super nice 🙂👍. I have 4 HW's and love them, but no Air Arms yet.
Nice! I'm looking to try a few HW's - I know they make superb rifles.
Had 2 of them not a patch on the 77 and 97.
S510 wow - superb rifle! Friend of mine has the S510T, it's superb 😎
Drew
@TheWeaponizedHippie yeah I was toying around with loads of budget stuff spoke to a few rfds and a few people at my local range and what I was looking at most had pretty common issues but from what I've seen and heard the 510 will be the only pcp I'll ever need after that it'll be budget springers and possibly pistols after that point then hopefully a 97k or something in the next couple year if all ends up well and this pellet ban doesn't cripple the sport
Just subscribed , love your style and presentation.
Thank you Craig. Much appreciated.

Thanks Drew,
Al
Hi brother
I experimented for quite a while with different holds on my Pro Sport when I first got it...
*I do have a playlist of videos about offhand practise however:
th-cam.com/play/PLdrSDREa44Go6Ys3VLVbkgtpx_xodVnRj.html
Scopes: I have to admit I use a very budget friendly Hawke 'Quick Mount' 3-12 x 50 AO on my Pro Sport, and a Hawke 'Quick Mount' 3-9 x 50 AO on my PCP rifle.
Let me know how you get on
Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog Hi Drew,
You explained your bench technique crystal clear.
Thanks for all you great tips Drew,
Al
@@joebergin8113 I'm glad the Hades worked out!
Yes, my trigger is super light also. I find unnecessary trigger weight makes me pull my shots due to hand tension.
I have had my ProSport for nearly 20 years..
Fabulous rifle, yes it's heavy, but it oozes quality and oh my its still the finest looker of all
Enjoyed both parts of your review 👍
Agreed Russell, it's a fine rifle.
Hi love the channel keep it up 👍🏻 they are great guns for a springer 👍🏻what’s the gun on the wall below the red Ryder are you doing to do a video on that looks awesome thanks and keep it up 😎👍🏻
Thank you! Thats a home built special that doesn't exist now - I used the action for something else.
@@PlanetDrewdog fair one 👍🏻thanks for the reply 👍🏻
Great video bro(cheers for the compliment)and it’s a great rifle, the wall in the back ground looks awesome as well 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Stu buddy 👍🏼
Enjoy!
I have an Air Arms TX200 .22cal and its worth every penny. Air Arms makes fantastic air rifles.
Yes indeed James, they're a bit special.
Yep, it's a nice rifle once you figure out what to feed it on.
Weird, my .177 Prosport (fac power as I'm in New Zealand) is great least pellet fussy of any gun I own. It also doesn't give much variation in muzzle energy between pellets. Every barrel is different.
Try the Hades, as accurate in my .22 as the Diabolo field.
Hi,
Really enjoyed your presentation, very informative , thank you.
I recently purchased a beautiful like new Pro Sport.Previous owner put about 200 rounds through it , Unfortunately he had health issues and gun had to go. I think the gun Is of extremely high quality and remarkably smooth shooting. It is a piece of art.
Bit a bit of a concern ;
The gun so far has not come close to the accuracy you are getting from your gun.
Thanks again ,
Al
Hi there. Firstly, thank you.
It surprises me that the barrel doesn't like the pellets you've been using, I can only relate my own experience really:
I found JSB diabolos (any weight) to be 80 to 90% accurate, RWS Superfield and superdomes were around 80% accurate - but JSB Hades 95%+ accurate.
Thank you.
Drew
Air Arms need to get this man an S410
Yes my friend! Agreed. (It'll never happen)!
Got mine second hand the best way you know they are a quality product.cheers from uk....
True enough brother.

Its the exact same rifle it was 3 years ago except the price has increased £300 more. I saw them priced at around £650 in 2021 now they cost £940 in walnut. Not worth the price neither is the tx200. £760 when it cost £525 2021. For the same rifle no changes to it.
Hi drew just watched your review of the fantastic air arms prosport you mentioned about it been hold sensitive this is mainly down to air arms increasing the stroke from 82mm on the mk1 and mk2 tx200s to 98mm on the mk3 tx200 and prosport I own a mk2 tx200 and a mk3 tx200 and the difference in hold sensitivity and shot cycle I:e lock time on the mk2 over the mk3 is night and day the mk2 shoots more like my hw97 the mk3 is still a fab gun but the mk2 having the shorter stroke shoot better

All the best

Thanks, you too!
i am converted to pcp ,but a airarms springer is on my mind , in fac the alu cocking lever can wear out
Yeah AA make a rifle worth having for sure. The lever lasts a very long time really and like every part of the rifle, is easily replaced when it requires it. 😎
I’ve just bought one of these. Any tips for setting the eye-relief on the scope?
Air Arms needs to get this man an S410!

Do you recommend the Prosport over the TX200HC because I'm getting ready to buy either one of them or the HW97KT. I would love your opinion.
But if you want accuracy ,not 1 inch, but hole in hole ,my kids shoot flys at 25 m with the old school fwb 300s open sights....and the nay
sayesers, might say it’s low powered.yes your right ,but if you can shoot the bulls eye....
Like I said great observations of this rifle,as there is everything out there giving it’s positive, but nothing on its probs,I would have one tomorrow if they had open sights, just can’t use it for hunting here,as fog and ground temp changes means scopes just don’t work..
Thanks again for your input.

Thanks Ben, and I agree about the open sights thing. I like to shoot with iron sights quite often.

Nice. Pre-owned ProSports are the way to go I think - they're so easy to bring back up to standard.

I have a TX 200 I have owned this TX 200 since the early 2000s I got into high quality imported British adult air rifles about 1997 if you can remember it I got a pro elite
I was aware of the pro sport
At some point air arms decided to stop making the pro sport not long after decided to stop making the pro elite
They have baffling inside a barrel shroud and that seems to be able to stabilize the flight of the pallet out of maybe a seven or 8 inch barrel and they keep down the added puff of air that comes out with a spring piston compression so of such a short barrel if I’m not mistaken the short barrel allows for a shorter dwelltime in between the deceleration of the piston and the exiting of the pallet from the crown of the barrel which is very deep inside the shroud
I found both the pro elite and pro sport to be very ungainly to hold the TX 200 I find a lot easier to balance is the only springer gun I own after that I’ve been to precharge and CO2 air guns
I own a theoben rapid 12 that was made in the UK before the oven owner decide to relocate to Tennessee and make them in lower numbers this pre-charged to is very ungainly to Carrie And hold
I have a Air Force talon from over 10 years ago
I can carry the talon and hold it off hand a lot more comfortably for longer periods of time not only to mention that I can change the tank between CO2 and compressed air not only that the God has made out of metal which doesn’t scratch up a fine piece of walnut
Drew
My close friend who got me into adult airguns initially got a TX 200 and was very unhappy with it he wound up going to the HW 97 And all the other HW Products
He found a German made air guns that are supported and more available than the Airarms products I still like my TX 200
Walking down memory lane this is what I remember about the TX 200 and what motivated air arms to develop a TX 200
The hW77 Is an under lever spring gun that requires a spring compressor to change the spring the TX 200 design allows changing the spring without a spring compressor
When I bought this TX 200 this feature meant nothing to me because I was not going to change the spring but as time went on especially with the air gun group web chatter of the late 1990s it became a big deal especially with product sold by Jim Maccari And Paul Watts and the like they became rather cult figures in the air gun hobby industry
Jim would reminisce about airgun head quarters And would fancy himself The inheritor of this note ability

Iknow there all great from all the talk on them. But in all honesty when I can get the money together down the road I think im gonna go with the TX200HC.
For me it was the sleek lines of the Pro Sport and the hidden cocking lever that tipped the balance over the tx200 which has the double barrel appearance.
Got 2 tx200 .22 an 1.77 great rifles.

It is a 177 cal sir sending my love and support to you.... gud morning
Yes my friend .177
Hello I have one in 18,5 footpounds its perfect except cocking it
Yeah there's a lot of energy in the export spring 😎
It's one of the best springer rifles in the world for a reason.
Absolutely. I'm making a long term review video about it soon.

Haven't looked at it yet - will do though 😎

Current US price is $970 for beech stock $1,078 for walnut. I really like air guns, but not that much, maybe if I win the lottery.........😁
Yeah I know. Buying used is the only way I could get mine.
If you can shoot, and appreciate quality workmanship, any Air Arms springer is for you.
Do you own or do you rate the HW98 as a good rifle?
I can't give an opinion on that I'm afraid - I've never owned or used one - but I'd say that if it's got Weihrauch written on it then it's likely to be great. Sorry I can't help on this one. Drew
I really should buy one but it means trading in my hw97k
HW97 is a phenomenally good rifle brother, I don't know if a Pro Sport would bring much more to the party really.

Thanks Nick, it really is a special rifle to me.
In my opinion and its just my opinion the prosport is the best air rifle ever made, I love mine and never part with it
It's not just your opinion brother - the more rifles I shoot, the more I realise just how good the Pro Sport is...
Where are you that you have to claim that the 45 is inert?
UK - it's one of six rounds from a movie prop supplier (I needed them for a music video couple years ago).
Anywhere but the US, powder burners and almost anything associated with them are the devils tools. The lefties and their safety issues are taking over the world.
To avoid getting his door kicked in by the fun police.
If they made this thing with a left-handed stock, I would buy one. I think they look great, but that cheek piece just makes it a no no.
Yeah it's a shame. I believe they only do the left handed stock in walnut for some strange reason.
@@PlanetDrewdog I made some enquiries once (admittedly some years ago) and even that was not an option. I would happily have a walnut stock if that meant I could have a Pro-Sport!
Just checked, and you are right! Looks like a Pro-Sport will soon be mine!
@@christopherdean1326 That's great!! Really pleased for you! Let me know how you like the rifle brother.
@@PlanetDrewdog Waiting on some money right now, but should have it by the end of next month.
Out the box crap stick a kit in it perfect
Thank you.
This is such a shitty thing to know considering I love my air arms rifles. Companies need to be held accountable and give credit where credit is due.
Not worth it. HW 97,98 and LGU,LGV can do the same grouping for much less!
I'll be testing many rifles over the coming months including the ones you mention. I love to try 'em all!
@@PlanetDrewdog Can't wait for your opinion.
HW97 is not at all like a Prosport. Out of the box it's a harsh buzzing nightmare to shoot. I can't speak on the Walthers but they are discontinued and hard to find. Air Arms make the best springer. There's no contest.
Its not just about the groupings. It’s about the feel, balance and beauty you get from the Pro Sport 🤠
Yee haa.
Not Worth it. You have HW
Prefer the hw97. Especially once tuned.. not rattle. No ratchet.
97 is a superb rifle.
