I added a back camera a few years ago. To get the wiring through the rear door rubber tube I mixed some dish soap and water in a spray bottle. It really helped slide the wires through with a guide wire.
Another excellent DIY. Have you considered using the Wolfbox G900 as your screen unit? I have it fitted to my 80 Series for 10 months now and it's been working brilliantly. I cannot see behind my rig so the digital rear view feature is fantastic - it's a feature now found on some modern day vehicles. Plus it also has a reversing camera feature, a built-in 4k dashcam. And best of all, as it mounts over your OEM rear vision mirror (or if possible, replaces it), you don't have to add another screen device on your windscreen or dash, or have to replace your head-unit.
Did you end up installing the backup camera and if so what does the view look like in the rear view mirror screen or whatever screen you uses to view it?
Nice job! at [8:50] wouldn't passing the wire parallel (not inside) the rubber be easier? I remember I used WD-40 in some project and it made passing wires much easier.
So, they use four of the KC Cyclone lights which is $130 on KC Lights website. Charging $320 for the carbon housing. The price jumped from $382 to $449.99 in 3 weeks
Crap the enablers are at it again.... Got the version 2 mirrors because of you guys.. Also just got notification that my headlights are being made... Have been waiting for more info on installing the third light.. thinking of going all red as I dont likee messing with wires to much.. Have it on my short list after my headlights and carbon fiber steering wheel get here and installed..
Recently installed this camera on my FJ and my video image is mirrored (objects on right are showing on the left on screen etc). Did you have this same issue? Mine didn’t have the standard loop wire to cut to flip the video image.

You all are truly a treasure of information. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much!

Could you post a link to the replacement panel clips?
Thanks for the video and CH4X4 info. The OEM fit switch with the custom logo and text will be a clean look for the Chase lights.

Wow that brake light and camera is expensive.
Well worth it!
with all the limited options for backup cameras on the 2007 (i don’t want to drill into anything) this seems like the best alternative
Awesome . Too bad it’s so expensive lol
You mean see the top of the spare tire when reversing..
