    I know I post a lot of battery bank videos. But as someone that has a laptop that charges with usb c, a tablet, phones, and etc... It's so nice knowing I have something so powerful, that it can keep my laptop going for many more hours. and also my phone is supplying internet to my laptop, so I don't have to worry about the phone dying either.
    Plus my previous Anker power bank videos have hundreds of thousands of views, so clearly there is a need for them. And this is a BRAND NEW release and this is the first video on TH-cam, of this product.

    Just a fyi to folks on the 535 since it has been mentioned in a few comments and I have one too but Anker has issued a voluntary recall on it most likely due a reported house fire that occurred. I believe that's why you aren't finding them for sale.

    Split between the 737 and 537 myself. The 535 would of been ideal but it got recalled.
    My phones are old so only charge at 15w my main reason is wanting to upgrade my Anker 325 20k Gen 1 units as they take ages to charge (10 hours with 10w input), the 737 looks nice but not sure I need something that fast at charging or large as day to day carry.
    Mostly I am just done with the 10 hour charge times of the older units which otherwise have been great.

    The reason it is slowing down will be state of charge and temp related I would think. Normal for any battery.
    Specs claim empty to full in 3.5 hours which for me would be a huge improvement over my 325 10.5 hours.

    GOOD video but VERY confusing at times !! Switching between 2 different Power Banks it was supposed to be a Review on the ANCHOR 537 !!! You may know what you're looking for but some of use want to hear about the product you reviewing the 537...

    • @wwjoshdew
      @wwjoshdew  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it is!! but how do you say "this is worth buying" when you have other choices. I do it in literally every single power bank video and you're the first to comment that. How do you know you made a good choice when the market is filled with power banks. The main point of this video is the 537, but there are other similar ones. How do you know you made the best choice?!

      I understand what your saying,But It's a review of a Particular product and I personally didn't care for a review of 1 product but heard a bunch of stuff about a different product or an Older model of the same manufacturer Just my opinion ! Didn't mean to offend you it's the 1st time I read one of your reviews and did not expect what I seen and heard...@@wwjoshdew

    yo thanks for the review, just got one of these b/c i also want the double usb-c outlets, kind of weird how slow the large chargers on the market have been to go with that, seems pretty obviously preferable to a bunch of usb-a. anyway, watched your video after i got it because like you said there's no reviews, feel a lot better about the purchase and looking forward to getting it.

      @Matti us Alpe ... you can usually find the 737 for 100 bucks. The 737 is 120 right now. The 537 is 80 right now. For that price I’d probably go with the 537. But it only charges at 30 watts. The 737 can charge at 140. So the 537 takes forever to charge back to full, but the 737 takes about 40 minutes!! Like HOURS less!! both are really good and the 537 is easier to carry in a pocket. Just get the 737! Haha
      Update: there is a common issue with my (correction) 537 where it charges at just 20 watts most of the time. And I’ve gotten emails and comments (many of them) from people confirming theirs only charges at 20 watts. That means almost all day to recharge it, where the 737 is less than an hour.

    If anyone has a 537 powerbank, mine only recharged on input at 18-20 watts, not 30 watts. Used Anker 65W and a 140 watt charger...with 100amp cable. Be aware. Supposed to recharge within 3.5 hours. 20v output only got to about 0.92 amp, not 1.5 amps.
    Return to sender.
    Tested with 2 chargers 735 & 717 and 100 amp cable.
    535 was $99. For about same money,
    got a 737 powerbank instead for $149 minus $40 with code discount. Although 737 needs 717 charger to take full advantage of 140 watt charging/recharging input/output. Anker offered 15% refund if I kept 537 powerbank.
    No thanks. Returned it since was within 30 day window.
    Otherwise I think is a good powerbank.
    16,000 mAh useable charge. Charged my S22ultra 5000mAh 3.2 times.

    I have 65watts GanPrime but when I connect a Mac pro M1 (60 watts) with my S21 Ultra even though my phone is using less than 33 watts, in my Mac it says that the currently connected power adapter is 33 watts which I think is the total watts 65 divided by 2 and split to each C1 AND C2 port

    25 watts is the amount of power S21 uses to charge in super fast mode

      @@wwjoshdew I had pretty much passed on the 537 given there are stronger newer alternatives. I was initially looking at the first one (1383) you suggested but it says it takes 4.5 hrs (!!) to fully charge on a 30 Watt PD charger (which I’m assuming is my 60 watt PD charger with two USB C plugs.) That’s an hour longer to charge than the 537 you reviewed & I thought you said takes 3.5 hrs to charge so that’s actually an hour shorter, not longer unless I’m misunderstanding something? My other issue is I don’t see how to charge A1383. Do I buy a C to C cable & plug from device into my Anker PD plug? At first I thought it charged via that non removable short built-in cable (or is that just one of the 2 C chargers?) but that cord is WAY too short to reach my plug on the floor. Using it to charge the bank would require either having to plug in to my computer (not an option as I have an archaic 2014 MacBook Air with original USB ports) or plugging that short cable into a plug on floor & hope it’s long enough to reach above and into my square shaped PD plug which is plugged into a surge protector (on the floor, not ideal - we have dogs so not ideal to charge it on floor.) I don’t think the newest ones from your 2nd link have enough juice as I want to use it to alternate charging when i get my new laptop + my iPad, iPhone & air pods. I’m also looking at 737 & 747. I like that the 737’s display or 747 which comes with the cord and (power?) plug. So if that cable on your first option is not removable and is only way to charge it, would you recommend either the 737 or 747 considering i’m really looking to charge more than just my phone. Comparing all this information is becoming overwhelming as I deal with many last minute details before this dreaded 8 hr outage on an predicted 93 degree day. Stupid city couldn’t wait until
      call to update our block’s electrical grid?!🫠

I’m basically getting this for my phone and my iPad but I don’t want to buy another one when I finally get a new laptop so getting one that is strong enough to also charge a laptop makes the most sense for me. That being said, which would you recommend. I feel most comfortable with anchor because they have the dual seas. This Anker 537 on Amazon doesn’t have anything in the description about PD or QC, yet some cheaper Anker banks specify they do have it. Does this have pd and qc? Does it matter? Also what do u think of the trickle charge mode(press button twice to activate)

Now I use the deckmate which is amazing for attaching a power bank, gives a ton more time away from the wall using it with a high capacity power bank. Extra weight doesn’t bother me much. Hi, I'm blind, so I can't see which USB C port is the one you use to charge the power bank. I just ordered one of these to keep my MBP charged while on the go. But I need to know which port to use to charge the actual power bank. Is it the one on the outer edge? I'm assuming the two USB C ports are together, then the USB A? Thanks

      With the power button oriented upwards; the USB A is on the left with the two USB C ports on the right, the USB C port on the furthest right (outer edge) is the one that also charges the actual power bank.

    • @wwjoshdew
      @wwjoshdew  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should provide almost one full charge. I do NOT recommend this battery because mine, and MANY many others have only been able to charge it at 20 watts. So it depletes SUPER FAST at 65 watts and then slow and painfully recharges at 20 watts. Sometimes it does 30, but not very often. I'm testing a few 65 watt power banks right now and they recharge at 65w, so less than one hour to recharge it.

      @@wwjoshdew I already have this specifically for my SD after asking around and this was recommended at the price point I was looking at.
      After a bit more research (post ownership) I’ve seen 1.5 to 1.75 charges on the SD both by testing and in theory. I’ve also reached out to Anker for confirmation.
      Most other battery packs of similar capacity seem to be the same or less number of charges. So not sure what to do, was hoping for a powerbank that will do at least 2 full charges, but didn’t want to spend a fortune. It would appear that the 737 has the same amount of charges as well.
      Really wish these battery manufacturers would clearly advertise the product in Whrs instead of mAh. But I guess the numbers are bigger in mAh so look more impressive.

      @bosiex ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Here is the response from Anker:
      "Thank you for reaching out to Anker, and thanks for your question. In regards to efficiency, all our PowerCores burn 30-40% of their power when they are charging other devices. So this power bank has 24,000mah of power, but the power left for charging your device is in fact 14,400 - 16,800mah."
      Another search on Google suggests ALL powerbanks lose up to 40% of their stored power whilst charging other devices which I found very surprising. So it looks like I dont have a faulty product, powerbanks are just very energy inefficient.

    • @bosiex
      @bosiex ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have had a further reply from Anker today. They say:
      After confirming with the technical staff, it's normal to take 8 hours to fully charge this power bank. And because of the compatibility problem, it may take 4-5 hours to fully charge the product with a 30W charger.
      Please let us know which solution works better for you.
      1. If you would like to keep this order, we would like to issue you a 15% partial refund.
      2. If you want to return the item for a full refund, please let us know.
      Looking forward to hearing from you.
      Well I must say Im surprised - their advert on eBay says charging time is 3.5 hours when using a 30W charger yet here theyre saying it can take 4-5 hours using the same charger. Misleading?
