What does that mean? Where empathy goes to die? I love shinedown but I don't understand the hatred towards empathy. Someone please explain so I can understand.
It means some people have totally no empathy towards others, one way to say it is that's why there's so many school shootings. The people with zero empathy are really the one's pulling the trigger.
I can still remember the first time I heard the song The Sound of Madness, I was blown away, as I have been by most everything Shinedown has ever done, Diamond Eyes is such a good song, but this one?? Maybe I need to listen to it again, but Im just not feeling it. I like the message, but the song?? Meh They are still one of my favorite bands of all time, and they most certainly dont have to cater their music to me.
Each Shinedown song is all its own...each song has its own identity. I love that the band is so creative and are able to make each song different both in sound as well as in message. Love it! 🤘

Cancel culture has superceded the old choice we had to simply "change the channel" if we were offended by something. Protection if free speech and the right to individual opinions is being erased.
Getting serious Sound Of Madness vibes on the initial verses, and then into some of that electro-style we got on Attention Attention. If that's the case for most of it this album is gonna absolutely CRUSH.
Can't explain how happy I am to hear them come back to a sound like this. No matter what they put out, I can't help but love it. This man's voice, the music, the sing writing, it's all perfect imo.

Unfortunately for me Threat To Survival was the only album where I couldn't like every song. I only like a good 4 or 5 songs off of it. All the other albums are bangers though!
