I agree with Mpumi. After a fall-out with a friend, don’t expect to go back to where things were, just focus on what’s ahead. We should not shy away from having uncomfortable conversations with our friends, don’t rush to apologise and forgive because most time it’s not genuine.

My husband was also nice to me when we met but I had to initiate things. I told him that he had to make up his mind about me because we both like each other 😂😂😂 I basically gave him an ultimatum. That was 2 years ago. And now we’ve been married for 3 months. And we’re very happy.

    Great installment guys as usual!
What I'd say on the friendship with single people is that you can absolutely be in a solid friendship with a person who is single. Paul(a single man) spoke extensively about marriage in the Bible and had the same Spirit we do. So I believe that your single friends can give you valuable advise that can help your relationship with a spouse. It doesn't have to speak directly into your marriage but can be good general advise on how to handle yourself in a certain situation that can help your relationship with your spouse.

I've always felt like I'm seen as the kind of person that doesn't like to apologise, when in actual fact, I have no problem with apologising when I know that I messed up. I've always felt like I just apologise to validate the other person but I am unsatisfied in the end because I was really being my best in the situation.
This was so comforting to me. Thank you

Finances are something close to my heart, what the scripture says in Deuteronomy 8:18, " Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who give you the *Power to be wealthy*...." I'm going to end it here but my thing is we have the Power that is vested in us by the Lord our God to be successful all we have to do is to put on the work and be disciplined and intentional. We can't ask for spirit of money then we sit and do nothing, God gave us the power to be successful and wealthy.

I think women should stop waiting around to be “chosen” and start asking questions. She clearly wants a future with him so she can ask him what his goals are for their relationship and if they are not on the same page ,she can then make a decision for herself. Waiting around can cause resentment in the long run.

Holy Spirit, as my witness, Brendan's opinions on each and every single podcast is mad refreshing. On the the note of the lady of the man who has not yet proposed marriage; I believe that as women; we have not fully comprehended that most men do not want to marry when they have not seen and actualized their need to be providers as more important before marrying, because to them marriage is about being able to provide financial stability for their significant other. As females we tend to have dreamy aspirations towards what being married is; without deeply investing in asking ourselves if the male counterpart has realized their potential, identity and dreams of where they wish to be. Mr Koena from the Koenas was in a relationship with him for 6/7 years before they got married/engaged, same as Deval and Khadeen. We tend to be in this rush because of this artificial timeline that society/more so Instagram has created; that we end up comparing the final product of other people's end product with our journey.

I hear what Mpoomy is saying about open marriages being to run away from your marital problems, but I respectfully beg to differ. I don't advocate for open relationships/marriages and I don't think that I'd ever be a party to one.
But from what I've heard from people in open relationships, firstly, they do it so that they're honest with each other about seeing other people. They also do it because not all your needs can be fully satisfied by one person. I think in most monogamous relationships, we take the 80 and mize the 20 and people in open relationships want the whole 100%.
It's not something I'd like to do, I 100% believe in monogamy. But, I get it and I respect it. 🎈

That lady who has been dating a man for 8 years with no prospect of marriage and the guy isn't trying to develop himself, is stuck in sunk cost fallacy when you feel like you've invested so many years of yourself into a person - but to be honest the investment is gone. It doesn't matter to him how many years she's been there with him. She needs to say goodbye.

I'm the person who let it go with friends. Its like Bf's.I don't believe in love back, never.I did it once but eventually,I realised that things I left for were always there The guy never cheated on me,he was kind, looking good clean but, tjoh. Problem was just that he is stubborn 🙄.He just say anything that come across his mind.He doesn't think before talking.Worse he believe its normal, instead of changing his behaviour,he always see nothing wrong abt it.He see it as freedom of speech.Yyooh,I dumped him.twice and will never go back to my ex.

    I agree with mpoomy
Men dont wanna be men anymore ! And they are naturally chasers!
Girls should ease the process but i don't think it is for them to chase. But surely clarity is needed. When things are clear, a girl Can Ask him out too.
Thank you very much, i always learn things from your podcasts. Be blessed🙏
