my grand father came to Cardiff in 1908 and we only came here in 1990 and people say somalis are imagrants .. we come here before Asians and other Africans but didn't want to bring our families be coz are country was a paradise at that time

This is incredible Leyla - my Great Uncle came to Cardiff as a seaman and left behind a family. I've been so curious about this ever since. I really wished I knew more but this documentary makes me feel like I can imagine what life was like for him. Beautifully made mashallah x
